81  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: is cloudhashing.com a scam?? on: July 22, 2013, 07:31:50 PM
In their new youtube video they post a BTC address at 0:44
http://youtu.be/Idf3UeZ5ycM?t=44s

I checked blockchain.info and that address is holding 2004 BTC
https://blockchain.info/address/157i5gK7iN4bNAN39Ahuoiq6Tx5TaQukTE

In the blockchain transactions I see "Hal Finney" come up
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2436

Who is he?  What's he have to do with cloudhashing?  And why is he in the transactions?

I know there is competition already out there.  It seems also that you can get the same model that I am importing.

I am going to see what kind of deal I can get and pass the savings along.  If I can't get a good deal than it won't be worth it.

More info:

Chipset: VIA VL812

Same as Anker hubs

Sample unit is shipping today. Should be here in 3-5 days.
90  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hubs for Block Erupter USB AsicMiner on: July 15, 2013, 11:20:35 PM
The two things you really want to know:

Is it limited to 5A out or does it add an extra .5A it takes from the downstream? If not, 10 erupters will be dicey.

Is it monolithic or chained? If it's chained, many of the ports won't work on an rPi.

I plan on a full  test and I will send it to Canary to also test to make sure it will work properly.

The power supply is 12V at 5 amps = 60 watts. @ 2.5 watts per USB miner = Power enough for 24 USB miners.

I have a sample coming for a USB hub that will be great for the Block Erupter USB ASICMiners

If it checks out, I will be buying a bunch of them. (3-4 weeks out)

Specs:

10 ports
USB 3.0/2.1/2.0
Led Indication    Red(Power)   Green(working)
Material of construction is aluminum alloy

Includes 5 amp power supply. Anker hubs are only 4 amps

Will be less expensive than Anker hubs.

Looking if there is any interest for this.

Reply if you would like to reserve one. I will contact you when they come in (Not binding)

can you have one sent to me plz?  i'd like to test and if it works and price is good, I'll be looking to bundle then... thanks
I'll PM you when it comes in
92  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hubs for Block Erupter USB AsicMiner on: July 15, 2013, 10:47:00 PM
Need to know what operating systems it will work with as well as the Raspberry.

How much cheaper?

I'd start with 1-pc.

I am still working out the details but It would be about $40-$45 direct from me or $50 on ebay.

Specs say it is compatible with linux.

The more demand I can estimate, the better price I should be able to negotiate.

Project has been stalled.  Not enough interest in it.  US implementation would have many legal issues to resolve.  If someone is serious about implementing an ATM, I will continue development.

Luck hasn't been very good the last 48 hours.  PPLNS (like DGM, Slush, Proportional, and most SMPPS pools) suffers variance, so your rewards will go up/down depending on the pool's luck.  The pool is still positive since the difficulty change, but right now we're in a bad spell.  But as it states on the PPLNS Stats page at the bottom:  Past luck is not an indicator of future performance.  We could easily bounce back to 130-140% over the next 24 hours.

...or not. Wink
