I have a sample coming for a USB hub that will be great for the Block Erupter USB ASICMiners

If it checks out, I will be buying a bunch of them. (3-4 weeks out)

Specs:

10 ports
USB 3.0/2.1/2.0
Led Indication    Red(Power)   Green(working)
Material of construction is aluminum alloy
VIA VL812 Chipset

Includes 5 amp power supply. Anker hubs are only 4 amps

Will be less expensive than Anker hubs.

Looking if there is any interest for this.

Reply if you would like to reserve one. I will contact you when they come in (Not binding)

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Need to know what operating systems it will work with as well as the Raspberry.

How much cheaper?

I'd start with 1-pc.

I'd start with 1-pc.

I am still working out the details but It would be about $40-$45 direct from me or $50 on ebay.

Specs say it is compatible with linux.

The more demand I can estimate, the better price I should be able to negotiate.

The two things you really want to know:

Is it limited to 5A out or does it add an extra .5A it takes from the downstream? If not, 10 erupters will be dicey.

Is it monolithic or chained? If it's chained, many of the ports won't work on an rPi.

If it is USB 3.0, the 5A will likely be @ 12 V, so it will have plenty of watts for the 10 erupters.  10 port Anker hubs use 4A@12V and run 10 erupters fine.

I plan on a full  test and I will send it to Canary to also test to make sure it will work properly.

The power supply is 12V at 5 amps = 60 watts. @ 2.5 watts per USB miner = Power enough for 24 USB miners.

Is there any way to make it a 12 port and space them twice as far apart?
So it aids in cooling and you could put a fan on each end.

Please put me down for one.  I know everyone wants it to work for the RPi, but I'm curious if this will work with the MineNinja (BeagleBone Black based mining controller).

Do you have any pictures to give us a idea of what it looks like?  Is it very similar to Anker hub?
