81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v6.3 (Windows/Linux) on: August 26, 2016, 06:13:02 AM
Am I doing something wrong? I see many people here running 6 X RX480 on the BTC PRO MB and Win7 and Win10, I have the same setup using powered risers and with 6 cards can't even get to post. Most I got working is 4 cards. I have the MB running 295 X2 GPU, 3 of them for a total of 6 GPU's fine, but no dice with the 480's. Am I missing something?

How many GPU's do you have on device manager and what are their status?

I can only boot into windows with 4 CPUs plugged into MB, I see all 4. But when adding a 5th or 6th on the MB, fails to post. does not even get to load windows. No post. I tried win10, win7 and even EthOS which is linux based. Same symptoms, will not post with more then 4 GPUs. I even tried the H97 Anniversary MB, same thing, best I can get is 4 cards.

Are you using powered risers?  They are needed if running more than 2... maybe 3 cards.  The MB can only supply ~150W to PCIe slots.  Cards can draw up to 75W from the slot (though 66W or less is more recommended...).  It would be an issue, especially if using 6 pin rather than 8 pin PCIe power connector 480s.

Yep, all 6 cards are using powered risers. 2 risers per SATA PSU cable. Using a EVGA 1600. I've used these risers on 295x2 so I know the risers are good. Same MB and risers rig, just 480 cards. Will not post so can't even troubleshoot further.

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to make a list of the rx 480's hash rate power and settings etc. on: August 19, 2016, 05:08:37 PM
power limits are not changed, any settings in windows / display driver at stock
riser are unpowerd
Mainboard: Asrock H61 BTC
PSU: Enermax MAXREVO EMR1200EWT 80 PLUS Gold

Code:
OS Windows 10
AMD Treiber Radeon-Software-Crimson-Edition-16.7.2
GPU MHz 1000
GPU Voltage 900
MEM MHz 2200
MEM Voltage 900

What are you using to manage the setting? Wattman?
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to make a list of the rx 480's hash rate power and settings etc. on: August 19, 2016, 02:12:39 PM
i have the same settings ~1000 watt @wall with 6 cards and systems needs ~100 watt

so i have 900 watt / 6 cards = 150 watt per card by 160 MHs ETH and 333 MHs SIA

1100 Core clock and 2200 Memory clock, Windows 10, Crimson 16.7.1? Did you change power limit? What MB and PSU you using? Any other changes from stock settings? Powered Risers?
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to make a list of the rx 480's hash rate power and settings etc. on: August 19, 2016, 05:22:58 AM
I am running 3x Sapphire RX 480 8GB, all very stable at 27.3 MH/s each ETH & 546 MH/s DCR ~153w @ each card and temperature is 77C each card.

I will try get a bit more out of them, but this setting have been running without any problem for 4 days straight now. (Switched pool about 3 hours ago)
I am running them at 1100 Core clock and 2200 Memory clock, Windows 10, Crimson 16.7.1.

Does anyone know how many H/s you get from each card on Cryptonight mining with this RX 480 Cards? And what software and settings do you have?

153w dual mining and getting 27.3 on ETH, wow.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trying to make a list of the rx 480's hash rate power and settings etc. on: August 19, 2016, 05:20:07 AM
Trying to get 6 X Sapphire RX480 going on H81 MB, tried win10 and win7. After driver install and after reboot, fails to post. Nada, black screen sometime or BSOD. Even with just one card plugged in on a power riser. Only if I unplug the card will it boot into OS. Thought it was my MB, but I see many 480's running on these boards. I even ordered the H97 Anniversary, thinking its my MB, has not come in yet but Any suggestions?
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethOS - Ethereum Mining Platform on: August 04, 2016, 01:35:35 PM
Any plans to support Claymore's miner? I'm getting a 5-10% lift in pure ETH mining hash rates using his miner but also like your platform. Just checking

can any one help me to solo mine in two machines but to a single wallet ( if they are in same network and can see each other )...

just use the same wallet.dat on both machines.

I used to do it. It worked

thnk you for the info i'll give it a try on my servers ... is there any max count of systems using the same .dat files ??

nope.. if it was a coin that needs the wallet to run to stake.. you'll end up with a ton of conflicted... don't think that's the case with hodl.. let us know Smiley

in your hodlcoin.conf
add
miningaddress=TheWalletYouWantToMineTo

even if the multiple wallet.dat solution works.. it doesnt sound like a good idea

By default, the directory did not have a hodlcoin.conf file. I created one and set the mining wallet address. But wallet miner still mines to other address from wallet, not the one I set. Any other suggestions?

Another block less diff in less then 24 hours, oh boy. At least it's a flat diff change so share percent stays the same. Jonny, remember back during the horse race we were both preying this block isn't one of those infamous 400%+ Kano blocks? Better prey harder....

Anyway, you still have the coin per diff bonus going? If so, what's it up to now? Maybe sink my last coin into a rental I got from selling some gear.

same here i also have issue i can't synch my new version i hope dev will update or give us info how this one will work. thanks in advance sir.

You guys clearly aren't looking very hard then. Despite my own multiple tests from multiple geographical locations having zero trouble with the wallet finding plenty of valid peers, there is also a VERY detailed list of peers available on the block explorer...which caches peer addresses for the past 24 hours and also give a nice button for displaying the list in a copy/paste format that you can dump into your conf file.

http://www.fuzzbawls.pw/explore/HOdlcoin/network.php

Were either of you mining post-fork with old versions? if so then it isn't that your new client cannot find any peers, but rather that your IP has been banned from the network for producing invalid blocks. If that is the case then there isn't much you can do but wait out the ban time (typically 24 hours).

That must be it, IP ban since I was not able to shut down wallet miner till this evening. On my laptop on different ISP, wallet connects and have 6 peers. I'll wait the 24 hours and try again. Thanks for the response.

PS. Does the version 2.0 wallet miner support multi-core CPU and HT? When using pool cpu miner 3.3.3 I was getting 400h, with wallet miner i was getting about 200h which leads me to think its not multi-core optimized.

93  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FS] All aluminum open-air case frames (added new light weight version) on: June 28, 2016, 02:46:03 AM
How would you go about using this frame for r9 295x2 card with radiators? I have 10 of these cards and looking for a frame that would nicely hold the card and radiators so air cooling is efficient in the same direction.

I would recommend a custom solution based on the standard "wide" or "deep" versions of these.  How many cards and PSUs per motherboard?

ATM one MB with 3 cards, but using win7 and can't get more to cards detected even though MB has 6 slots. I was going to try Linux and see if I can get 6 cards on the MB running which would be 12 GPU since each card is 2 GPU's. ATM using EVGA 1600 Plat PSU for 3 cards, if I can get more then 3 on the MB, then I would use 2 x 1300 EVGA or 2 x 1600 EVGA. If all 6 cards work on the MB, then prob use 3 X 1300 EVGA and use the 1600 on another rig. How much would a custom setup run me?

So the truth is surfacing. Need more exposure about what Ant is doing.

So technically we could have withheld the first block and then use the second to orphan BW's block in the middle???

Isn't that what they just did to us?

a bit more complicated than that.    a withheld block has a good chance of being lost.
you'd have to risk losing blocks just to attempt to sandwich a specific target to apply it maliciously.

very hard to imagine someone putting that much risk/effort into it.

what a curious 25 hr window.

Curious is right, Ant's last block was almost 6 hr ago with a stated 322PH!
97  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [35+PH] Kano CKPool kano.is 0.9% PPLNS US,DE,SG,DK,JP,FR on: June 26, 2016, 07:26:25 AM
Well the most annoying other thing about it is:

I'm now running 2 nodes in China.
I started the 2nd one shortly before we got our block.

It's connect to both the CN relay and the HK relay.

It shows NO SIGN of the BW Pool block at all even inside China.

So if Ant and BW are the same, and in partnership with F2, who is HaoBTC? If they are in on this, then hell they have over 70%, maybe even BTCC then even more. Why bother broadcasting outside china? If your CN nodes did not pick it up, maybe they all have a private network going? they just confirm each others blocks and keep the rest of the planet out of it....

Last block outside CN was Slush

We were almost to 320%, tried with 3ph for 5 hours. No dice and now pushed back to 300%. So that's 3 diff changes now with zippo blocks? One left before 1/2'ing.
Guess did not prey hard enough that this isn't one of those 400+ blocks that Kano got stuck on a couple times.
Back to church!

311%+ is to be expected, but man it does not feel good when it takes 6 weeks to get there.  Cry

Do we need to start sacrificing cows over here?  Grin

Especially when we are up against the wall on the 1/2'ing. That puts a lot of stress on trying to make the 5N. Less then a month to go

S-9 total = 0.03165647   a long way from 8.1
if I remember correctly, you have free solar electricity but only half reward due to sharing it. do you think you will ROI those expensive unit ?

certainly i think i will or i would not have purchased 4 units

I can mine these for more then a year with no risk of power cost.

If coins crash to 400  almost most all miners will shut off other then s-9s

at the ½ ing an s-7 at 400 a coin and 8 cent power loses money

so for the 1200ph pre s-9  gear to keep mining it needs  a price of 700 with 7 cent power.

so a huge amount of gear is going to fall if we drop back down to 400 a coin.

at 500 a coin  all gear older then the s-9 needs 9 cent power for a small profit

at 600 a coin all gear older then the s-9 needs 11 cent  power for a tiny profit

lastly  at 700 a coin all gear older then the s-9  needs  12 cent power for a tiny profit.

So  1200ph  gear is ready to be dead with a drop to 350-400 a coin.

Bitmaintech public shows more then 40,000 coins in one address.

All we need a big sell off and coin drop and diff will tank this is a profit move for s-9 owners.

the other side is coins go to the moon  a fiat profit move for s-9 owners.

the bad for the s-9 owners is stable coin at 650-750 usd

If CN decides to keep wealth stored in BTC like they have been doing last month or so, and CN remains economically unstable then BTC will stay north of 750, potential stick around 900 post 1/2'ing. Just my thoughts on the recent moves.....

PS. I decided to hold on to my S7's and Avalons past 1/2'ing to see where we land and the higher prices, as long as they hold make them profitable for a longer timeframe. I'll be looking to acquire S9's but will wait for batch 5-6.
