This is definitely the right thread for announcements and help with mining, etc but I wanted to remind everyone that we have a trading speculation thread now too.

Ethereum has all the attention now, but this has been the most exciting week for Boolberry (based on trading market activity) since the fall of 2014.  I suspect many former bag holders are now well into the black.

This ending is much worse than I originally thought. I will vote for a few more moves but will be ready to resign soon. Once white wins our g pawn or trades queens (in most situations) it will be over.

There stats here are not currently updating properly: http://boolberry.com/state.html

Who is in charge of maintaining that page?

Those stats haven't been working for some time.  They were informative but I don't think many people ever looked at them.  I used the stats page mainly to see what aliases were available.  I'm very busy with my main occupation but I might have time in the next few days to recreate and host them on a crypto related website I'm setting up if you don't get a response from Crypto Zoidberg.  He is the person in control of the boolberry.com website.
I whipped something up based on what was on boolberry.com. It's at https://cncoin.farm/munin/ if you want to use it. Click on the BoolberryStats link to see graphs.

I like seeing all the data. Thank you for doing this!

This would be the perfect time for damashup to launch popboolr.com

wtf?

It has come way back down since the spike over 30k satoshi. Those who had a chance to take some profits near the top and buy back at current levels were fortunate. Most of the volume happened very quickly.

I think white cannot escape perpetual checks after both b and f pawns queen? Honestly looks like a draw here.

A draw is our only hope at this point Smiley

I hope we can force a perpetual but I do not think it will be easy. White has too many options to calculate. Our king position will make it harder to force a perpetual because of many situations where he can block check with a check.

Sorry @boolberry, posted just a few minutes before our deadline as the move seem to be set.

I was just excited to see @letsplayagame sport an XMR address in his signature  Grin Grin

I was happy to see that but would love it if he added a BBR address to his sig too!

You are right GoldTiger69 I want to prevent trading Queens as well. Now that I looked more into the variations I see that we can do that and be in a good position. The lines I looked at are for: Bf1, Nd2, Ne1 and Ng1.

Ng5: 1 vote (boolberry)
Bf1: 1 vote (GoldTiger69)
Nd2: 1 vote (Morecoin)

I do not like the endgame after 16.Ng5 Qh8 either

Doesn't that get fixed in this PR? -> https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/pull/630

EDIT: Atrides, could you link us to the source code where "pending_timeout" exists?

Yes, that fixed issue.
2Mutovin, you need to compile from source, 9.1.0 has still this bug.

"pending_timeout" was here "bitmonero/external/unbound/services/outside_network.h"
But only as "struct", I thought it was planned to implement in the future.

Are you in charge of Monero Club? Can you share your future vision for it with the community?

If we do not want to trade Queens we have to prevent Qf4+.

Kb1: 2 votes (boolberry, Morecoin Freeman)
Rdg1: 1 vote (GoldTiger69)

Black can still force a queen trade if they wish with 15.Kb1 Qf4 16.Ng5 Qh4 17.Qxh4 Nxh4.  I prefer this for us over 15.Rdg1 Qf4+ 16.Qxf4 Nxf4 because in the Rdg1 line blacks knight ends up on a much better square.

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FreeBazaar - OpenBazaar with Monero on: February 02, 2016, 12:24:10 PM
So this project is to integrate XMR with OpenBazaar, correct?  Or is it to fork OpenBazaar to a completely separate codebase that supports XMR?

At first stage just integrate XMR into OpenBazaar as fork "FreeBazaar".
On the second if it possible, commit all into OpenBazaar. If not (because BTC is very hardcoded, OB-dev may decline it) then it will be parallel/separate XMR-Bazaar.

I suggest you make your fork have an API so it works with any crypto coin. Then if they don't accept your commits, then yours may likely become the dominant fork, assuming you have the resources and skills to carry it forward.

Whereas, if you make your code Monero only focused, then it has no wider-scale attractiveness to gain the political support you need.

This may be a good idea and clearly worthy of some debate! Thanks TBTB

Is pump ahead for BBR?
I see on poloniex activity any real reason?

thnx

If you are genuinely interested in learning about Boolberry technology please stick around. If you are here looking for a pump and dump you have come to the wrong place.

Is there an up to date, working block explorer?

There are at least 2 that I know of:

Block Explorer: Boollberry Block Explorer on MinerGate: https://minergate.com/blockchain/bbr/blocks
Block Explorer: Boolberry Block Explorer on ChainRader: http://chainradar.com/bbr/blocks

Thanks, both are stuck and behind by several days at the moment, hence me asking.

Sorry! They were up do date a few weeks ago when I last checked. It is strange that 2 block explorers would stop at exactly block 442,156. Cold they both be controlled by the same person who may have taken their node down for maintenance?

I am on block 445,522 now with plenty of peer connections.

We're hopeless at this point, but oh well.

Kb6: 6 votes (GoldTiger69, boolberry, LucyLovesCrypto, marcus1986, Morecoin, swogerino)

His pawn will queen way before ours.

I agree that the queen ending looks very difficult (likely lost) for us but we do have the honor of queening first:

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: January 31, 2016, 02:17:46 AM
dogecoin is bad?? my $200 profit says otherwise!

i call bullshit.

and if so.. your a pathetic idiot who was bag holding TONS of them waiting for a pump.

current market price for $200 worth is 1.1 million doge coins
so for you to claim to have made $200 -PROFIT- ?
You must have been sitting on a hell of a lot more than 1.1 million..
Desperate waiting for some guy to pump the coin ROFL

And by the way you need to have sold you Doge to claim a profit.
You can't see the current price then look at how many you have NOW and say you may $200 profit.

I think your a fucking liar..

Many people own more than 1.1 million DOGE. I do not own any but see no reason to doubt what he told us.

DOGE has likely been manipulated by some PnD groups recently, but we should not discount the size and loyalty of the community. Clearly DOGE has done something right to get where they are today.
