Eine Frage zum angekündigten Update für Ende Oktober.
Dort soll ja die Umstellung auf POS enthalten sein. Bedeutet das, dass es bereits Ende Oktober kein ETH-Mining mehr geben wird?

Habe das Problem gefunden.

Ich nutze Teamviewer für Zugriff auf das System unter Windows.
Der HDMI Dummy hängt an der EVGA Karte.

Solange ich aktiv etwas mache über Teamviewer reicht die Bandbreite der USB Verbindung des Risers wohl nicht und die Hashrate bricht um 20-30% ein.
Sobald ich Teamviewer nur laufen lasse ohne etwas zu machen steigt die Hashrate der EVGA Karte nach 2-3 Minuten auf den normalen Wert den ich erwarten würde.

Sobald ich wieder aktiv bin bricht sie wieder ein usw.
Da ich nur 1-2 Mal am Tag "nach dem Rechten" schaue komme ich damit klar. Dachte schon es wäre etwas kaputt.

ich habe hier 3 RTX 3090.
Zwei gleiche Modelle von Gigabyte und eins von EVGA.

Das EVGA Modell war die ganze Zeit im PC-Gehäuse eingebaut und hat dort ~120 MHs bei Mem +1000 gemacht.
Die Gigabyte Karten haben ebenfalls 120 MHs bei +1000 Mem gemacht, hingen aber von Anfang an an Risern.

Nun habe ich ein Rig aufgebaut und auch die EVGA Karte extern am Riser hängen.
Jetzt macht die Karte bei exakt gleichen Einstellungen aber nur noch 98-100 MHs bei +1000 Mem.

Die Gigabyte Karten laufen nach wie vor mit 120 MHs.

Weiß jemand was ich falsch mache? Wieso bekomme ich die EVGA Karte am Riser nicht auf 120?
Das USB Riserkabel habe ich bereits untereinander getauscht. Daran liegt es nicht.

In GPU-Z sehe ich, dass die Stromspannung permanent schwankt. Ich habe 70% TDP eingestellt. Sie schwankt aber von 45 bis 75 ständig hoch und runter.
Die beiden Gigabytekarten sind wie festgetackert beim eingestellten Powerlimit.

Ich habe die Stromkabel untereinander getauscht. An den Kabeln kann es also auch nicht liegen.

Der Riser selbst? ... mir gehen so langsam echt die Ideen aus.

Ist schon mal jemand von euch als Deutscher in die Schweiz ausgewandert?
Soll ja auch nicht so einfach sein.

Ja, habe noch eine ältere Version von Bitcoin Core.

Was wäre denn ein Vorteil auf die neue Version zu gehen? Bzw. was ein Nachteil die Alte zu behalten?

Bekommt man durch die Fork irgendwleche Coins geschenkt oder so wie damals bei Bitcoin Cash?

ich habe heute mal wieder meine Wallet aktualisiert die ich zuletzt vor 3 Wochen aktualisiert hatte.

Nachdem ich komplett aktualisiert bin steht oben eine Warnung "Unbekannte neue Regeln aktiviert (Versionsbit 2)"


Sollte ich mir Sorgen machen oder ist das normal?

Klar gibt es noch andere Coins mit dem gleichen Algorithmus. Aber die Profitabilität ist dort bei weitem geringer.

ich mine schon seit einer Weile mit einer RTX 3090 ETH. Das ganze ist auch gut profitabel und bringt aktuell 5-6€ Profit pro Tag nach Abzug der Stromkosten.

Leider ist das System extrem laut und ich überlege es auf eine Wasserkühlung mit großem MoRa Radiator umzubauen.
Das Ganze würde ca. 1200€ kosten...

Ich bin unsicher, ob ich das investieren soll oder ob es rausgeworfenes Geld ist.
Soweit ich weiß endet das ETH POW Mining im Dezember, richtig?

Denkt ihr danach finden sich andere Coins die ähnlich profitabel sind?

So is it important to generate a lot of plots in a short time or do I need to store the created plots for a longer time and need more space?

Yes, I already ordered a Seasonic Prime TX 1000.
I will run both PSUs together so even if all cards go to stock I will not have any problems.
But the availbility is very bad and it will be shipped in 2 weeks from now.

I will try an other Miner.
Today it was gone again, but this time it restarted and was only consuming the 50w idle.
I guess a card crashed, restarted and was taking 100% PL and shut off the PSU.

I have 4 PCIe connectors on the PSU.

Each cable splits to 2 8 Pins.


I have 2 cables (4 x 8 Pin) to the EVGA 3090.
3 of them are in the card and one powers the riser.

I have 1 cable (2 x 8 Pin) to the Zotac 3090.
They are both in the card.
I run a Molex for the riser.
That‘s pretty hefty, I know.
Almost 70 watts from the molex and 230 watts from a single 8 Pin to the PSU.

The Zotac 3070 sits right on the board with the last 8 Pin cable and has got the 2 x 8 Pin in the card

I run the following cards:

Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity @ +1150 Mem, 302W, 121 MH/s - on a riser
EVGA RTX 3090 Kingpin @ +1000 Mem, -200 Core, 285W, 119 MH/s - on a riser
Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge @ +1200 Mem, -100 Core, 130W, 61 MH/s - on a x16 Board Slot


In total that’s only 717 watts on 12V. The PSU is rated to 840 on 12V.
The rest of the system is about 50 watts.

So about 767 watts in total. 840 watts atw.

As soon as I lower the power limits the cards will not run stable or drop by 15 MH/s if I reduce 1% PL.

I have a 1 GB/s connection…

And it was only 25% syncing headers. It didn‘t even start downloading the blockchain… please read before you answer.
