82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I screwed? on: June 26, 2019, 10:48:32 AM
I sold at $7550, am I screwed or will it at least go back down to $7500?

has to be a correction sometime if we follow past btc trends, it always dipped back around 50 % of all it gained before the real pump begin , but like always you never know with investing.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pricing sales in Bitcoin on: June 26, 2019, 10:46:48 AM
How can one price items for sale in Bitcoin in a volatile market. Lets say I have an item worth £1,000, and the current price of Bitcoin is £10,000 ( this morning's price ), obviously I can publish a price of 0.1 Bitcoin for the item. In this volatile market, this could represent a fiat value of £1,500 tomorrow, or £750 if there is a correction. Has anyone got any bright ideas as to how I can handle this, other than just stating " Bitcoin price on application". I wanted to try to avoid quoting a price in Fiat, which I don't want to accept, but this seems to be the only solution.

thats the main reason i why i think companys and such wont realy use bitcoin the price jumps up and down to much and to big, bitcoin is good as a store of value but everyday use its not.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Protect yourself from Excitement and keep your Winnings Safe on: June 25, 2019, 06:48:20 PM
Just simply follow your game plan. Once you've reach your goal. Stop already and comeback again the other day. Don't ever attempt to bypass it because it will make you so confident that will lead you into result that you don't like. As long as you are following your plan, you are safe from over excitement and will learn on how to control yourself more.

this! dont know how many times i kept on playing on sports and teams i realy had no clue about just to get some more action after a good or bad day.
just stay away when its not matches where you have a edge.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: June 25, 2019, 06:47:04 PM
Neymar wants to return to Barcelona and the club also wants it but PSG doesn't want it to happen and they want to sell Neymar at a very expensive price. I think this is going to be difficult. Barcelona won't spend as much as PSG asks.

dont understand why any club would sign him right now hes such bad pr , with the whole rape scandal, its just icing on the cake it feels like he dont seem to have a winning personality on the field or off the field, good thing hes good at fotball atleast......
86  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance hits 60%, alts lagging behind on: June 25, 2019, 06:37:58 PM
According to the Coinmarketcap website, Bitcoin dominance has breached the 60% level and is now reported at 60.1%. Including the forked coins (BCH, BSV, BTG.etc), the total market cap for BTC+forks comes to slightly above 64%, while the altcoin market share has dipped below the 36% mark.

I am sure that a lot of users may be unhappy about this, but I am delighted as more than 90% of my crypto assets are in the form of BTC. I had sold most of my alt holdings in 2018.

I am not very sure about the reasons behind the rising BTC dominance. But I suspect that the users have become more matured now, and a lot of them have realized that investing in shitcoins is simply not worth all the risk.

Here is my outlook for the major cryptocurrencies:

1. BTC: The prices will continue to increase and a new ATH may be reached by the end of 2019 or by 2020. The dominance will continue to increase and may reach 70% by the end of this year. But one concern I have is regarding the transaction fee. It has risen by more than 10x since the start of the year. Another 10x increase would be catastrophic.

2. ETH: The exchange rates are still lagging behind the ATH. The poor health of the ICO market is probably pulling ETH down. The Cryptopia hack also played its part.

3. XRP: I would say that this one is the most worthless and unreliable altcoins among the top 10. Therefore I am not surprised by its falling market share.

4. BCH: Holding well as of now. In case the BTC transaction fee spikes again (like what we had during 2017 Dec), then this coin can rocket upwards.

5. LTC: One of the best performing alts. However I won't be surprised if a correction occurs post block reward halving.

6. EOS: I don't know much about this coin.

7. BNB: I would consider this coin as overpriced. A correction is due.

8. BSV: A lot will depend on the future actions of CSW. Very unpredictable coin.

9. USDT: Everything was going well for Tether until the scandal at Bitfinex was revealed to the public. Now a lot of the users don't consider this coin as a reliable stablecoin. In the near future it will be facing a lot of competition from the other stablecoins.

10. TRX: An overpriced shitcoin. I don't have anything good to say about this one.

think alot of alts wont rise this time , alot of money from alts going into btc now thanks to it rising 3x in some months, which is insane for the biggest crypto in the market to have those gains, so i understand why alts moving to btc , btc feels like a safer investment overall and it has good gains.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The longer you play poker the better you become ? on: June 25, 2019, 03:20:39 PM
"The longer you play the more skills you get" it's like the more you are study the more you learn. I believe life will taught us something when we encounter somethings in our life. Gambling was oart of it, ofcourse the more we do it everyday then the more we learn it, the more we find our skill and the more we find our strategies that it will lead us use to it. It's like daily routine that can give us benifits.

but its not like you get better automaticly for playing more, you need to study what you did wrong and what you did right, thats the thing about poker, you can play for a million hours and still suck, its a game of fixing leaks in your play so you realy need to study books or your own game to find those leaks and stop them.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you can have a dinner with Mr Satoshi on: June 25, 2019, 03:18:44 PM
You’re invited to have dinner with Mr Buffett Mr/Mrs Satoshi. What would you want to ask his/her opinions?

I would love to ask about his/her views about whether he/she is satisfied with all the hard fork soft fork ICO airdrop masternode that’s going on, I think it would blew his/her mind to even imagining what we had done to the crypto with him/her absence for so many years. And I can imaging it would be a very wonderful dinner that’s for anyone.

i would ask him what he thinks about more people are focusing on the amount of money btc is worth in dollar instead of the original vision of changing the world in ways for the better and even out the diffrences between poor and rich countries and individuals.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another proof that cloud mining is a scam on: June 25, 2019, 01:32:35 PM
Quote

I really don't understand, it's already 2019 and people are still believing that cloud mining is still one way to earn and the best way to invest your money??? *face-palm*..

when i started with btc it was pretty known that cloud mining was a scam you end up with pretty much nothing thanks to fees and other bullshit, it looks good on paper but once u start using it you never make anything pretty much and just to get back your investment take years lol.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Comments on deposit bonuses on: June 25, 2019, 01:31:12 PM

Many gambling sites have deposit bonuses.
However, if you receive the deposit bonus, there is a condition for withdrawal.
For example, 10 times the deposit amount, etc.
What is the reasonable condition you think?

so that you play more, i think i never got out with the whole bonus any time, maybe i end up with like 20 % after im done with the requiment to cash out , and alot of time spent to get there.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia, Philippines, Indonesia and India support crypto the most on: June 25, 2019, 11:57:08 AM
don't u find it weird? The less eveloped counties support blockchain implementation the most? what is the reason? possibility to earn or to steal?

Link to the article: https://ambcrypto.com/indonesia-russia-philippines-and-india-among-countries-whose-citizens-actively-support-budding-crypto-projects/

indonesia ? what? never even heard anyone talking about crypto there, only reason the gouverment might be intrested is its looking for another way to scam their citizen out of money, that country is extremly corupt and in a free fall pretty much.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1,000,000 would kill bitcoin on: June 25, 2019, 11:55:51 AM
Even $100,000 would kill it.  If 1 sat (or even 100 sat) == $1 then the fees would grind the system to a halt.  The fees would be so high relative to the amount sent, that it wouldn't be worth it.  From an investment perspective 1 sat==1$ is a nice round number.  From a users perspective, only being able to buy things divisible by 1$ is crap.

if that happends im more afraid of the massive sell off , its going to push us down in a bear market once again, only if it grows slow and steady and not flying up this wont happend.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason Amazon hasn't adopted Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2019, 06:18:48 PM
Amazon is the largest e-commerce company in the world. All their products are built on developing and enhanced technology. Since its inception, Amazon has always fostered a positive attitude towards new trends and the latest technological advances, this is because they are part of the internet revolution, a revolution that can only be won by being optimistic about technology.

So, why hasn't Amazon adopted Bitcoin?

Let's see this way, Bitcoin praised the Amazon package very well. Amazon has an international reach and allows people to buy products from sellers in countries from all over the world.

Part of the Amazon revolution is the shrinking of the earth, which means people can buy products internationally at lower prices and send them in a short time.

As is well known, Amazon only supports payments through FIAT currencies and traditional banks, this can slow down the payment process and means that merchants are charged. But using Bitcoin will erase, both of these problems.

In addition, the use of Bitcoin will also allow Bitcoin investors to access the giant platform wherever they are.

Problems that hinder the adoption of Bitcoin

The problem here is because of the lack of regulation around Bitcoin, not because Amazon is afraid of Bitcoin or because they are afraid of a lack of regulation, but this seems to be an Amazon case that is too big to adopt a product that can eventually fail.

If a company the size of Amazon continues to adopt Bitcoin, it will cause a massive surge in asset popularity, which can ultimately put Amazon or Bitcoin at risk. I think the message here is that Amazon is not afraid of Bitcoin, they just haven't accepted Bitcoin and are still in advanced studies.

Will Amazon adopt Bitcoin?

We know that Amazon, among other giants like Facebook, is exploring blockchain technology. When crypto is becoming more mainstream and when Bitcoin becomes more mature we can begin to hope that companies like Amazon will start accepting Bitcoin payments, maybe now, adoption is not safe enough for e-commerce giants, and this is to protect their customers.

the same reason why most companys wont adopt btc, the price jumps to much , both up and down heck it lost 90% of its value last year no company is touching something like that,
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using BTC to send funds cross-border (in current day) on: June 24, 2019, 02:44:53 PM
Hi all,

I have money in a UK bank account and I would like to send it to somebody in Malaysia.

It seems simple enough to go GBP -> BTC then BTC -> MYR.

But the recipient is unwilling to open any crypto related accounts currently and, due to AML, I cant use, for example, Local Bitcoins combined with their local bank account (as it's in a different name and would fail verifiation).

Is there any other way currently?  Or must I wait for the industry to mature further?

if we are talking large sums and you dont want to spend a fortune btc is a good option but if your friend dont want to open a btc acount the bank transfers is one of your options or using other payment providers that send money cross borders but htey cost alot.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra VS Bitcoin (2 Coins Enter 1 Coin Leaves????) on: June 24, 2019, 10:05:04 AM
Libra VS Bitcoin  (2 Coins Enter 1 Coin Leaves???)

Bitcoin Created by Satoshi
VS
LIBRA Created by Corporations

Libra Specs are still not confirmed, but faster transactions speeds and lower transactions fees to gain market share seem likely.

Libra is Centralized Control and Bitcoin currently is not.

Libra value per coin should be stable since the Corps are backing it with fiat reserves, while Bitcoin price can rise or fall quickly.

My thoughts are merchants will flock to it because of price stability , plus a little corporate nudging.

Bitcoin will still be harder to censor than Libra and its price won't be as stable,
but investors and traders don't want stability, they make money with the market swings.

So Investors and traders will still favor Bitcoin,
While Merchants will favor Libra.

So what is everyone's else thoughts?

Will one defeat the other or are they fighting in different rings and never shall they actually face off.

dont think libra will have the breaktrhough alot of people think its not the next big thing for people outside crypto, more people know about bitcoin than libra that dont invest in crypto, heck most my friends dont even know what libra is but all of them know what bitcoin is even if they dont invest.

97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Grand Theft Crypto: The State of Crypto-Stealing Malware & Other Techniques on: June 24, 2019, 12:53:40 AM
A recent report developed by cryptocurrency intelligence firm Ciphertrace estimated losses from theft and scams in the first quarter at $356 million with additional fraud losses of $851 million totaling $1.2 billion in total loss. Alongside the report came a study recognizing how the attacks were coming seeing an increase in malware and ransomware attacks.

A few other noticeable ways funds are being taken are through clipboard hijacking, website clones and social engineering. While it makes me positive to know we've figured out ways scammers can creep in - do you think the tech will be strong enough to avoid these?

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/grand-theft-crypto-state-cryptocurrency-053700942.html

feels like im a lucky person some time with all the thefts going on it never happend to me so far and i have alot of exchange acounts and wallets, but never happend so far know on wood, guess its going to happend to me to sooner or later,
98  Economy / Speculation / Re: We hit 11k what comes next ? on: June 23, 2019, 09:33:34 PM
we managed to hit the 11k again. 24 after surpassing it already once.

What is your take on it ?

Let me know!

12k is the next big step if we break that i think it will go fast to the 15k area, but it has to be some correction soon, its long over due.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] 10 Million Dollar Bitcoin End Game on: June 23, 2019, 06:05:18 PM
Just watched this video just recently because of it annoyingly appearing multiple times on my YouTube feed. In my opinion, it's probably a great short documentary(44 mins) to send to people if someone you know wanted to know what bitcoin is(non technical). It's a good one if you ask me.

NOTE: While the title sounds like the video is focused on the market value of Bitcoin, it's not.

Documentary includes:
  • Central banks and hyperinflation
  • Where Bitcoin comes in/The point of Bitcoin
  • Common misconceptions and the similar complaints with past technologies
  • Positive statements of multiple big names about Bitcoin
  • How Bitcoin is slowly but surely creeping in into the mainstream
  • etc

While most of the Bitcoin veterans most likely knows already 99% of what's discussed in this video, it's still a decent video to get more pumped up with the future of Bitcoin.

Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3VgbQ23E8k

NOTE: Video is not mine and I am in no way affiliated with the creator.

just what the forum needs, getting back on track why we got intrested in bitcoin in the first place and for most of us it was the tech and the world changing possiblilities not money , money was just a side effect.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Want to quit? Here's how on: June 23, 2019, 04:47:05 PM
Quitting is easy if you want to achieve something, but never easy if you want to stop doing what you always do and what you always wanted to do. This is what you called addiction, and we all know that its really hard to over come. Is this the end? Is there any cure? Let me help you.

1.) if you really want to quit, you should WANT it. You should be serious about it and not play around. Most people failed to change because they didnt take quitting seriously.

2.) Have a stone hard mindset. Picture yourself to the person you want to be. The old person who doesnt need that things in order to be happy. Always think about the future results you will become.

3.) Be faithful on what you are doing. Cheating is not an option. Dont be fooled on peer pressure or the callings of slot machine. Learn how to have self dicipline. Focus on your goal and have a blindfold if needed.

4.) If you already strengthen your inner self, the next steps is already easy for you. You see, yourself is the best enemy you have and we should start changing you by the way you think. Next is, have other things to do that can make you busy. Start trading or having new business. You will soon realize that the essense of the money you lost in gambling.

5.) never to try it again. People are also malleable in nature and even you didnt do it for years, once you tasted it again, you will turn back to the same addict person you want to get rid of. We have a deep caravings for it psychologically or what you called cravings by our subconscious minds that once triggered, can never be stopped.

Lastly, give me merits if this tips help you. Nah. Just kidding. I just want to write a book someday and i need some inspiration. Gambling is fun though.

good pointers , this will help alot of people that not gamble for fun any more becuse it become a addiction that ruins their life instead.
