Hello everyone. We are proud to be part of a new MintRace on Bitminter.com. Thanks to DrHaribo the bitminter operator, we have prepared 10 BCC cards for winner in the upcoming MintRace. The winner will choose the currency of the card that he wants, and DrHaribo prepared Bitcoins for the podium winners. Here is the original post made by DrHaribo: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104189.0Bitcurex is kindly offering their BCC cards as prizes for a second Mint Race on BitMinter. It will be similar to the first mint race. The finest quality minting work (lowest hash value) will win. Start: friday 31.08.2012 at 20:00 UTC Finish: sunday 02.09.2012 at 20:00 UTC Prizes: 1st place: Bitcurex BCC card + 5 BTC 2nd place: Bitcurex BCC card + 3 BTC 3rd place: Bitcurex BCC card + 2 BTC 4th through 10th place: Bitcurex BCC card Total value is about 38.7 BTC (price, as of this writing, is 2.87 BTC per BCC card) If you win a Bitcurex card you can choose the currency (USD, EUR or GBP). If you don't win you can of course still buy a card from https://shop.bitcurex.com. You can sell bitcoins on Bitcurex and withdraw your money (USD, EUR or GBP) through the BCC card. Thanks to Bitcurex for sponsoring the Mint Race. You can read more about them at https://bitcurex.com and https://shop.bitcurex.com. Win conditions: Just like your hash must beat the difficulty to produce a block, it must beat the other miners to win. The best (lowest) hashes during the race will win. As long as your work is accepted by the server it is valid for the race, even if it ends up "stale" or "orphaned" in the block list. Each person can only compete with one (their best) hash. Verifiability: Hopefully your mining software will show if you have created a block (BitMinter client does). Your block will show with your user name in the block list at http://bitminter.com/blocks. You can click the height number for the block (leftmost column) to see details. There is a link there to blockchain.info where you can see the hash value of the block both on the page and in the URL. The lowest hash value wins. Hash values are shown in hexadecimal. 0-9 is lower than A-F. A is lower than B. Pretty simple. Current standings will be updated here regularly once the race has started. Now finish building that new mining rig, check that your equipment is properly cooled and get some spare fuses, just in case. The competition will be fierce. Best Regards -Bitcurex.com- Let the best machine wins.

Thank you DrHaribo for this opportunity. We are gladly give out prizes. We cannot forgot about those by whom the Bitcoin can exist - the miners.
Let the best man(or woman or machine) wins.

Id love one, but Im put off by the "me love" thing too. Subbing and waiting for a better design before I order one.
Its just a first design, most probably will be more in the future, even designs to choose from. This is very interesting. Since I live in Denmark, I would have to pay a fee when I use the card, correct? Since it has to go from EUR to DKK. I wont be getting one right now, though. But as soon as you offer personalized cards, with higher limits and account name (maybe also be able to load the card by sending BTC to address with fast confirmation?), I'll be there Unfortunately yes. We would be able to make any currency AUD, CAD, DKK, NZD - but it would have to be more users who would be interested in that currency. We are working on a "xxx xxx" to be able to automatically load the card only by sending bitcoins to the address, but probably will be at least 3 to 6 confirmations. Personalized cards are expected to be in the future, if all goes well, even this year. PS. We would like to apologize for the malfunction of shop.bitcurex.com, during the weekend we had experienced a DDoS on our shop. We don't know who was it but we would like to thank you. It means... it means alot . Anyway The shop is back online, no user database was compromised, all data is safe, Best Regards -Bitcurex.com-

Im pleased to inform that our shop is back in operation. https://shop.bitcure.comDuring the weekend we had an DDoS attack on our shop, and an attempt to break in to the site. The database was not compromised, all user data are safe, all btc send are safe (the wallet is not on the server), all orders has been shipped. The DDos prevented users from accessing the site, but now the issue is resolved. We are very grateful for whoever did the DDoS that means someone felt insecure, We don't know who it was but we we want to thank you very much.

We understand that the card balance is not sufficient for many users. But we cannot make higher limits with cards with no name. We are currently talking with bank and VISA about issuing a personalized cards with much higher limits then BCC have.

It's such a kawaii and 1337 design. Why isn't it the default?
Could you explain? I will be honest I really dont understand, We are not native speakers in english, so sometimes it is hard to understand. Best regards -Bitcurex.com- Kawaii is japanese (with english transcription) for cute. 1337 is 'leet' or elite in leetspeak. Basicaly Fluttershy said that (s)he likes the design. I understand that you're confused. Many native speakers would not understand that gibberish either. Ohh Thank you very much I really was confused.

The card does not any card holder name, anyone can get it. That is why there are some limitations on it. We are thinking of personalized card with much higher limits. But each card is made individually and it will always take 6-8 weeks to print it, we are not printing them, the bank have to print them. But you can always have more than one card. 10 for example. so you have 35 000/year.

What are the fees? For 3.15BTC is it fee free?
If you are talking about general fees, than yes. Load the card trough our exchange is free of charge, and fast, shopping with this card both online and offline is free of charge (it has to be in the currency that card has, for example if the card is USD than POS in USD is free of charge), Withdrawing EUR to USD or GBP card is free of any charges, we do that using special service with very good f/x rates. The only fee there is is to withdraw money from ATM. Best Regards -Bitcurex.com-

Don't really care about graphics, I'm just curious about Bitcurex as a whole. How active is it? Seems like the EUR market is almost dead (not more than 10 active traders) but the PLN market gets a (relatively) lot logins. How many bitcoins is traded there per day? I looked at statistics, but only saw transaction count which doesn't tell me much (100 transaction of 0.2 bitcoins is not much, you get the picture).
Thanks for answers.
Bitcurex as a whole is a quite new market. PLN market is bigger than EUR market, at the moment but im pretty sure it will change over time. For example today's volume is 114 BTC, Total so far (3, almost 4 weeks now) Total transaction count 1374 Volume total: 3 825.72 BTC (142 060.30 PLN) So the PLN market is chasing all the existing PLN markets. Due to a recent delays in withdrawals from other exchanges, we now have many happy customers. Our usual withdrawal time (if customer has the same bank as we) 1 - 3 hours from requesting, other bank accounts next day tops. Same as deposits, working even during weekends. The same is for EUR trasnfers, Withdrawals are made several times per day, and they are usually credited to customers account via SEPA next day. Now all SEPAs are performed as top priority (not that fast as target2 or withdrawal to BCC cards) so it is D+1 usually 24 hours. The statistic available on the site does not show all the balance as on all exchanges. For example current ASK offers are for total of 505 BTC, Bids approx 5000 PLN. It is low today due to recent BTC price loss, So the Bitcurex is a new market but it gaining speed. More stats at bitcoin charts: http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/bitcurexPLN.htmlor at our site: https://pln.bitcurex.com/statystyki - graphs and logs about active offers per day, transactions, API requests etc or here http://btccharts.com/#m=bitcurex-BTC-PLNBest Regards -Bitcurex.com-

First one reminds me of the good old BBS days I must say I'm surprised about these colors. This skins is really useful at night. Everything is clear, and more visible than on the regular skins.

Retro Bitcoin. BitcurexSo a new – old – look. Retro Bitcoin, like old times. Made especially for night traders, it does not stress eyes at night, and it feels like 40 years ago. Basically 2 colors (well up to 5 with 3 different green colors). PS. Forgot to mention. Sking change is available only for logged in users. Also for those that uses LiveChat, and the application covers part of the statictick, there are 2 option : RightChat and LeftChat. Retro:Retro LeftChat RightChat Also we would like to know: Shall we make an Retro BCC card?Tell us what do you think. Maybe some kind of proposals, graphic sketch/design? Anyone who’s graphic/ideas will be implemented will receive new BCC card free of any charges. Best Regards -Bitcurex.com- Bitcurex Debit Cards now availableBitcurex.com PLN Market

How does using USD on the card work? It looks like I can only exchange BTC for EUR on bitcurex.com, is this correct? What is the fee on the EUR/USD conversion?
There is no fee for converting the EUR to USD. We have the special agreement with our bank, and special platform to exchange EUR/USD and EUR/GBP at very good rates. For example. If you like to send EUR to USD account (100EUR) the bank charges and the general poor f/x rate for 100 EUR we would have approx 110 USD on the account, But withdrawing 100EUR to USD BCC card will get you approx 123 USD, The f/x rates are very good, and there is no bank charges for transfer to the card from bitcurex.com. Other exchanges, does charge 1.5 - 2.5 % conversion ratio, to BCC's we do not charge any extra fees. IT'S great did you want some translate for you website? chinese version/
56. The Buyer and the Cardholder shall not deliver the Card to the following states: Libya, Somalia, China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Peru, Panama, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Turkey, Serbia, Kosovo, Ukraine, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Sudan, Northern Korea, Burma, Cuba, Syria. I think its great, and the card looks good. But this also shows perfectly the value of the borderless Bitcoins. Point 56. is unfortunate. We have to obey written agreement that we wont sell to these countries, it is not our limitations, we would love to see no limitations, We will try to work on them in future. Best Regards -Bitcurex.com-

I like this card. It's a little pricey and it doesn't have the user name on the front. I might consider buying this card. I would rather just send Bitcoin to a Bitcoin address rather than use the Bitcurex website to load the card.
The card is valid for two years, and can be used multiple times. We are currently working on loading it trough bitcoins only. The main idea was that users who trade bitcions wants their money fast, and these is BCC's main idea. But I just came up with an Idea to load the card only by BTC's. I have to do some thinking but its doable, will come up tomorrow with something. Withdrawals to the cards are free of any bank charges, and very fast, from requesting withdrawal to "money on card" should be longer than 2 hours. And we have something on mind, but we have to think it over - about the general Bitcurex idea. As for user name, card holder name in front of cards, It is possible but not now. There probably will be a dedicated cards for a name and surename, with much higher limits. Best Regards -Bitcurex.com=

Hello THank you for your questions. 1. Yes they will be updated today, and will post them here. The originals looks better than the design. 2. That is a very good question. We think over time the volume gets bigger and bigger and wont be any problems to do so. AD. In the future, there will be more cards, with different function and load options, as for everybody's needs. 3. Not at the moment. 4. MasterCard will be the PLN currency, and due to lack of additional 2.8% conversion ratio (which VISA has) if you pay/withdraw currency that is not a main cards currency (ie you withdraw EUR from USD card), thus can be used in places where there is no USD, GBP, EUR, PLN available, for example Canada. The conversion rates are by MC's F/X rates. Best Regards -Bitcurex.com- Interesting product!
Some questions:
1. Do you have pictures of the real cards? 2. How can one load the card with bitcoins if it's impossible to sell bitcoins on your exchange due to current lack of volume? 3. Do you accept any external exchange coupons (MtGox, CryptoXchange, BTC-e, Bitinstant...) 4. What will be the differences between the mastercard and the visa card?
Thank you in advance for your answers. Looking forward to this promising new service for our customers.

Overall it's a nice looking card, and it's great to see more things like this becoming available. "I love bitcoin" or "We love bitcoin" is cheesy enough, but ok by me - "me love bitcoin" is a step too far... but I guess I'm just a bit conservative in some ways.
Thank you. First market research shown that these slogan would be nice, and we wanted to give a little more light to bitcoin, rather than technical names, keypairs, I don't know what else, all these up and downs, bitcoin should be fun, but you are probably right it is too much, we will work on next ones. What would you see on that cards? What would you like? Best Regards -Bitcurex.com-
