ETH is going up fast everyday, now it has the market cap 60% of bitcoin.
It has no doubt ETH will become the biggest and new normal standard as CryptoCurrency and displace bitcoin aka "Chinacoin" before the end of July.
LOL! The Chinese think ETH is not worthy to mine at this time, even with their cheap power. If ETH gains enough acceptance there will be GPU mines popping up all over China. That is if ETH doesn't self destruct first by moving over to PoW mining.

I was thinking more in the lines of: Could or would the SEC force theymos to ban any thread regarding a token sale on the forum.
That would bring up some serious First Amendment issues. Furthermore, the SEC only has the authority to bring civil action, so this would seem very unlikely.

FUCK! This stupid thread from The DGulari just refuses to die.

Price is up about %1 so either $800 or close to it depending on what source you are using. Slowly climbing over the last couple hours. Is $800 the new bottom?
Looks lit it just hit $801 momentarily on Bitstamp.

If you create multiple accounts you can hold a conversation between your alts and get paid while doing it! The more alts the better. It would also help if you were schizophrenic. Just make sure that you log on to the correct account that is associated with your different multiple personalities.

Is this the Bitcoin you wanted? Settlement, speculation, and no end user functionality?
Yes! Take your damn coffee transactions off-chain!

What are you complaining about?
"Disk is cheap!" Even smartasses who don't operate their own nodes can find 4TB drives for $50.

I do not know if I am the oldest here... BUT I am certainly the oldest supposed horrible scammer...(lol)
often with 64 you are supposed "wise"...here I am supposed "scammer"
You scamming scumbag, you! Errr ... what exactly did you do to scam? On the topic of age, I don't think that the average age of posters in this forum represent the average age of Bitcoin users. That's because a lot of users have left the forum because the forum has pretty much turn to signature spam junk. These users are still actively using Bitcoin ... they are just not logging on to the forum anymore.

I consider myself anti-social but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the concept of on living on a ship. Maybe that is the problem. Instead of getting to pick a small set of close friends with whom I'd spend my time I'd be stuck with having to live with 35 families whom I did not pick.

Is bct losing all credibility by fud and scammers? ...edit: i changed the word with to by
Ive been here since 2013 and it has reached a point that this site is used to talk down any project that a person is not involved with.
no wonder projects are moving to slack...
thoughts?
The main problem is that most of the people who contribute to BTC no longer hang out in this forum. The signal to noise ratio is way too low to have any meaningful discussion. So what's left are the scammers and the spammers.

I see more and more acrticles of bitcoin being used for illegal activities
Hmmm ... I never noticed this, but now that you mentioned it, I think you may be on to something. will this hurt bitcoin in the long run
Quite possibly. I think that you should play it safe and just sell all your bitcoins. Like all the chicken shits say: "Better safe than sorry!" will governments ban this just like they started to do with paying in cash for some services to harden the use of illegal , and money laundering
I think they should. It would be your duty to support any proposed legislation that attempts to ban Bitcoin. After all Bitcoin is evil!

Wasn't he supposed to reveal something that would shake the Bitcoin world and cement the proof that the was Satoshi Nakamoto?
What's this joker up to these days?

I personally would not use one, but I see no problem if idiots who can't secure their private keys properly would like to use a bank. The caveat is that the whole ecosystem should not gravitate towards one where you NEED a bank account to perform Bitcoin transactions. People who want to run their own nodes as their wallets should always be able to do so.

Why do I know Bitcoin? Because I accidently ran into it.
Seriously though I got to know Bitcoin through mining, back in the days when most miners were hobbyists.

About 10-20% of my assets are in Bitcoin. I have enough BTC to buy a nice house in a city such as Philadelphia. Unfortunately I don't want to live in Philly

bitcoins price would fall a bit as people wouldn't buy it anymore to spend, but bitcoin wouldn't die yet, as people would still use bitcoins to trade to other cryptos
Price wont fall if the users of bitcoin community old their coins, as the most percentage of all bitcoins are still in circulation and buying and selling in exchanges is always going on, so if the quantity decreases because of holdings of people then the price would likely increase as demand increases and quantity remains less. If theres no activity on bitcoin ecosystem like trading selling and buying on exchanges and all over the world for sure bitcoin would not move even a single cent in my own opinion but as we all observe bitcoin price would surely move because of activities that are happening daily. If there is absolutely no activity it is as good as though the price were $0. This implies that there is no market for bitcoins and you couldn't sell yours if you wanted to.

what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down?
It will crash.

I don't mine at kano.is because it is not a Chinese pool. Yes, I know he has a couple of Chinese relay nodes, but that is not good enough for me.
To all the people who just want to "make more money in the long run", guess what ? In the long run we are all dead.

I don't think bitcoins have a good futur. Not much people use them and there is no real use for these people. The problem is that the people that doesn't use it is the majority of the planet. And you, what do you think about this? Will bitcoins have a glorious future or a realy bad one?
You see this low adoption as a problem. On the other hand, I see it as having great potential. If BTC is worth $650 with only a small number of people using it, imaging what it would be worth when a majority of the planet uses it.
