None of the images in this thread have displayed for about 48 hours now? No changes on my end. Anyone else having problems?  Huh

None on my end, pictures are showing fine.
82  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.S. Constitution document scheduled to be torn apart. on: March 25, 2014, 06:15:18 PM
BREAKING NEWS: The U.S. Constitution document is now scheduled to be torn apart. The official date for the commemoration is not yet announce. Ceremony will begins soon.

The devil worshipers cult illuminati (also known as the Bilderberg Group) will announce the official date soon.

I nearly fell out of my chair laughing

Also, implying there's anything of public-value left to tear up. Even if this ridiculous scenario did occur, all it would do is anger some mid-right demographics into throwing a few protests and after a few months everything would return to business as usual.
83  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Study: Everyone hates environmentalists and feminists on: March 25, 2014, 06:12:19 PM

That's because environmentalists and feminists (and vegetarians) tend to be over-bearing, hypocritical, and unwilling to take criticism.

Mind you, not all of them are like that, I've met many vegetarians and environmentalists in my life that were calm intellectual people that I genuinely liked. I've never actually met a likeable feminist (although i'm sure they exist).

Another study, featuring 17 male and 45 female undergraduates, confirmed the pervasiveness of those stereotypes.

Not much of a study   Lips sealed
84  Other / Politics & Society / Re: British hospitals burned dead babies to heat buildings. on: March 25, 2014, 06:05:18 PM
NHS hospitals burned the bodies of dead babies to heat buildings, a documentary into stillbirth and miscarriages has revealed.

As horrible as that is, are these bodies/remains that the parents are still claiming, or are these leftover bodies/remains that the hospital has to figure out what to do with?

Not saying it's a good, honorable, or respectable practice by any means, but if someone doesn't like whats being done, maybe they should claim responsibility for the bodies themselves?

I mean these hospitals have to get rid of biological waste somehow, I can't imagine they happen to own endless fields that they can fill up with graves (especially in over-populated Britian).
85  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: March 25, 2014, 06:00:10 PM
...And Right Sector announced vendetta and intends to revenge acting interior minister of Ukraine for the death of their thug.

If that was a revolution in Ukraine, it sure started eating its bastard children.

All the so called revolutions are the same, starting with the first french revolution. Its all bastards that gives the illusion of a democracy.

^ this

The problem with revolutions is the people revolting never actually change themselves. They get angry and overthrow the authority, and then just implement new leadership that is just as corrupt and incompetent as what came before.

It's the same with the top-down approaches. Foreign imperial powers paint themselves as liberators, and then put into power castrated puppets.

The only true way to change the people at the top, is to change the people at the bottom.

87  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF is going on!? on: March 18, 2014, 05:15:02 PM
Well, It's funny that 1$ increase in LTC is a "skyrocket" and 10-12$ drop in BTC is crash for people these days.

lol right? It doesn't seem that long ago that btc was $3 a piece.
88  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: March 18, 2014, 05:09:40 PM
Why, across the world, are America’s hands so tied?

They aren't, we've just had a series of exceptionally inept and weak leaders. With the way people approach politics here, it's only going to get worse.
89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Desperately seeking bitcoins on: March 18, 2014, 05:05:09 PM
Hello all,

currently I have a debt running where I would like to get rid off. Is there a possibility somewhere to earn 15 bitcoin within 1 week in an honest way off course. This debt is been bugging me for over a year now and I would like to get rid of it, so I can start anew with my life.

If anyone could give me some advise on how to earn 15 bitcoin asap that would be greatly appreciated. I want it in an honest way, not by cheating or illegal practice.

Kr,
D

You want to make $9000 in 1 week with no startup cash? Only way I can see this happening is either selling off assets/goods you have (maybe old things lying around your house?) or starting up some kind of invaluable service that people will pay tons of $ for.

You've posted dozens of links in multiple threads, all the same shit. It's starting to become spam mate...
91  Other / Meta / Re: Why this forum is not mobile friendly at all? on: March 15, 2014, 07:59:43 PM
Hi,
I wonder why this forum is so hard to browse and post from a mobile device? It requires lot of pinch and zoom to complete posting. Should it be bit more easy and enjoyable.?

Please tell your comments and suggestions about what can be done to improve this.

Because it doesn't have a layout specifically made for mobile, so your phone is just loading the regular html.

I remember a while back they were looking for someone to do a major site re-design. I don't know if that ever happened though (or if it would involve a separate default layout for mobile)
92  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A social organization that will lead to never ending peace - NO WARS on: March 15, 2014, 07:56:12 PM
Why am I starting this thread.

Recently, or better say, a few years ago, I came by with an extraordinary literature, that has been illogical and sensless to me. So I started to studying it (not as in school, but as a interest of mine, because it does not exist in schools yet), and from day to day it makes more and more sense. It was like, everything in this world, that we explain through our eyes, could I explain on some other dimension or level and it will have a totally different, but much more realistic sense.

It was like I openned a pandoras box. This literature literally changed my perception of world. I knew I have in hand a universal formul, that can explain everything, but I did not know, how. And I mean really, everything!!

So for now, because it is late here, I am only leaving you with this informations and I beg all the philosophers and people (characters), who like to discuss about social organization, interpersonal relations, unreasonable events that happen between leaders and people, oppositions between people and would like to know more, how all of this begins to develop, to join this debate.

Do you think a social organization that will never start a war again is possible? What in your opinion is therefore necesarry to meet those criteria?

I will however explain through debate the knowledge that I have learned through this literature - which source I will for now keep for myself.

An organization is merely a group of people. If the people who comprise it believe that war is ill-fated, ill-advised, and self-destructive, and if those people have the will to act upon their convictions, then the organization as a whole will reflect the common belief.

Ofcourse what is war but large-scale violence? And some would say violence is natural to any predator.

93  Economy / Lending / Re: I Need 1 BTC , I will repay in 1 or 2 months on: March 15, 2014, 07:50:55 PM
Hi

I am looking for 1 BTC I will return it in 1 or 2 month with interest as per your requirement

Thanks

A lot can happen in 1-2 months mate. If you don't have enough assets to offer collateral, what happens if the price jumps up or unexpected misfortunes happen? You might need your girlfriend to come save you from getting a pound of flesh cut out  Grin

I don't know your circumstances, but loans are not something to get if you're broke.
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: March 15, 2014, 07:45:43 PM
Hi All,

I have been following Bitcoin for over a year and was the first person ever to put my house for sale for bitcoin.

http://www.cbc.ca/newsblogs/yourcommunity/2013/03/alberta-man-accepting-bitcoins-in-exchange-for-home.html

Not sure if you followed my story from a year ago, but the house just sold on Friday, and will make the news tomorrow I suspect. When the house closed on Friday I got approximately 648 BTC for my house which is based on prices over the past 6 months when the deal was actively negotiated, legal fees, realtor fees, and a bunch of contract wording that I frankly don't understand. I am now all in! I really believe in bitcoin. It is the future of the world. I look forward to the continued price increase and one day I plan to own my own island. I will truly be a bitcoin billionaire by the time I am 25 I believe. This house was inherited from my father who passed away a few years ago and he always believed in me and told me I would make it big one day and so I shall. Wish me luck Smiley

Tay More

Grats man. The more things like this happen the better.

Hold on to most of that 648, in a few years you might be able to retire.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: How and why Bitcoin will plummet in price on: March 15, 2014, 07:38:54 PM
I doubt he is right... I sure hope he isn't !

http://www.dailydot.com/opinion/how-why-bitcoin-will-fail/

He completely ignores variables brought in by the vendor, buyer, and market as a whole. He also doesn't understand the difference between price and value. And since when are altcoin prices arbitrarily decided by whoever made them lol?

This article screams of college freshman who took a few economics classes and now goes around spewing 'wisdom' like he's an expert.

Also, wtf is up with his vocabulary. Far too many awkward or incorrect word placements to be taken seriously. The guy's a native English speaker, so there's no excuse. Don't writers proofread anymore?

Mark Zuckerberg: US government surveillance is a threat to the internet

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/mar/13/mark-zuckerberg-facebook-us-government-surveillance

<< Facebook founder reveals he personally called President Obama to express "frustration over the damage government is creating". >>

Lol, is that kind of like google doing the same thing? All these companies have been selling their server data to government agencies for years (and it's been leaked more than a few times too).

Now that heavy military operations are coming to a close people are more willing to criticize companies/government over spying and illegal activities. I don't think they were expecting the public backlash, and now the smart companies are trying to get ahead of the ball and pretend to be on a side they're not.
98  Other / Meta / Re: i was banned without any reason....plz admin unlock my profile " visaco" on: March 15, 2014, 07:16:10 PM
Coins were distributed on facebook not here, posting addresses here are prohibited btw

It looks like people in that thread told you why. Be sure to read the rules, OP's make mistakes too (quite often actually).
99  Other / Meta / Re: The definitive explanation of how activity works! on: March 15, 2014, 07:12:58 PM
Might as well sticky this...several threads a day asking this question.

Might be a good idea... Unfortunately, I'm not staff (yet?), so I can't Wink

Liam

Probably should be stickied. I don't remember reading it anywhere in the help.
100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be exciting again! on: March 15, 2014, 07:10:00 PM
Someday
When, when:
Are we there yet?
Bitcoin will be exciting again!
Someday....

When?

Edit:
I could have been more clear: The BTC project is always exciting.
Lately prices/speculation opportunities have been extremely slow and boring.

Too much of the infrastructure fell apart recently due to hacking/greed (mainly the latter). When more markets/bazaars start to open people will not tread with so much caution and you'll begin to see the old volatile value return IMO.
