Tell me what happened with that great idea of yours? Cheesy
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 14, 2013, 12:56:14 PM
LTC is pretty stable @ 4USD, if that is the value of a dead coin, I think all altcoins want to be dead. Roll Eyes

People tend to buy overpriced stuff if they are expecting stuff in question will become even more overpriced afterwards, that much is true.

Absolutely and what these pumpers don't see even though it's right there is that Bitcoin is up 300% in just 3 weeks.

They're getting all excited for the crumbs falling off the Litecoin table with their 33% increase in the same timeframe.

Most will say no, Litecoin doubled and then some.   Right, but if you take into account the haircut they got right before that cause of their negative correlation to Bitcoin when it went from $3 to ~$2.20.

So really, the run to $3 was just to regain what it lost so this run to $4 is a $1 increase which is not even 50%, it's more like 33%.

Jump up and down for 33% when you could have had 10 Times more and don't recognize the trend but lie to yourself and keep your money in a dying crypt, err, Scrypt coin.  lol.
One thing you don't understand is that it's complete bullshit to compare Bitcoins growth to Litecoins growth on a very short timespan, it's a 2 years younger currency and it is going absolutely how it should be going. You can't expect that they both will rise and go down at the exact same time at the exact same rate. By the way if I would sell my LTC for BTC, I end up with 1/3th more BTC than if I would have hold that amount in BTC. Your math doesn't really work for you on a longer timescale mate.  Wink

Also pretty funny you say Bitcoin went 300% up, and Litecoin only 33% because it only regained value. Yeah Bitcoin never went down of course, no regaining there, nope in those 3+ years I'm here I indeed never seen a Bitcoin crash. :')

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FREE][BONUS-GIVEAWAY] Just claimed 125 USD, 0.21 BTC, 5 LTC on: November 13, 2013, 08:46:02 PM
It is not a giveaway for me looks a raffle with some users always winning. not provably fair.  Shocked

Some users winn often while some others less. I even issue code missing the 2 last digit, so need to try 99 number to get it...I cannot make it more random...

This could be explained as some users are on our website 12 hours daily and sucess to get more code than users present only few minutes and not seeing any code. I guess this fair in the way we make this giveaway to promote crypto-trade.com.

Yes people should definitely waste 12 hours a day on an exchange for a lousy few bucks or coins.
Waisting time shouldn't really be a problem for you because you seems to have enough time to bitch the whole time in this thread. And what you can have against those freebies is really something my mind can't grasp.

You really look like the little child that didn't go to a friend's birthday party and is now whining his friends who went all got candy there. Roll Eyes

What you're saying is: if I register and start using it, I should get goodies, right?
No, you have a chance of getting something.
...before the next post is "I'm registered 3 minutes and still nothing"
85  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: INCAKOIN. Een Rev · o · lu · tie · ar · y NEW Technology! on: November 13, 2013, 07:10:23 PM

88  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: McxNow // Cryptsy aandelen on: November 10, 2013, 05:50:19 PM

This is very interesting data so far, and I almost want to believe it's not right, but currently the most popular OS for bitcointalk.org is Linux. This tells me that the bitcoin community very much still geeky. Consider that in the general population Linux is only on about 1.6% of desktops according to Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_operating_systems
In 2011 it was 56.9% for Linux ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2891 )
Now in 2013 it seems to be 37.6% so far.

Definitely still more geeky than an average community, but you can see a trend.
I use Ubuntu as my main os. Smiley

I have said that is has always existed before and always will.  Glad to see you're getting the concepts of infinity.

Magic does exist on earth, people encounter small bursts of it more often than you think (at least I have last year).

We just need to train our minds to become more magical.

That's where you skew from actuality.

Magic does not exist in our universe.  We have physical laws in our universe that cannot be broken.  (Yes, that means you did not stop a cloud with your mind.)

If you feel magic does exist, why not prove it, make a cool million dollars, and pay squall back?
http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge/challenge-application.html

Then why have many people broken physics?  Because the universe has no law.  Law is not natural.
Dude, nobody has broken physics.  If a scientific law can be broken, then it's not a law.
You're correct, scientific law is not law, it's theory.

I have witnessed a large lamp jump off a table with nobody around it, several people saw it and were like wtf?

My friend has unintentionally levitated before, several people saw it.

Another friend has witnessed levitation of an iPhone, two people saw it.

My life experiences tell me science is not the final frontier.
Next time you prepare your dinner, what you need are Champignon Mushrooms, not Psilocybe Cubensis. Wink

Litecoin dead? Hell NO!
3 of 6 big chinese exchanges already trade Litecoin.
CEO of btc china is the brother of the founder of Litecoin
Why do you think there will be support for LTC?

LTC is dieing you will see in couple of days
Yeah that's what people told me many times about Bitcoin too, glad I never listened. Tongue
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 09, 2013, 09:26:25 PM
As I write this, LTC Cap has doubled to $107,000,000 = not dead.

There is not a single good reason to put 2 times more money into LTC miners' pockets. Did LTC difficulty followed the trend, e.g. did miners
went out and bought enough hardware to double their LTC hashrates? No! So it is all, as said few times earlier, about speculation which as
an side-effect makes current LTC miners richer. They make 2 times more money than before and that's it. In a same way (speculation) LTC
market cap could be increased to $10+ billions but without real use of LTC the only ones profiting are smart speculators and miners. Pretty
much like mining UNO while difficulty is 10k or less and dumping it on exchange, or buying it for cheap and then putting sale orders at 200%
of buying price. One can make nice profits there ... and?

LTC is nowhere near dead but it is becoming less and less useful every week. That is what matters. At some point, if LTC usefulness drops
even lower, other altcoins will come to light as a way better alternatives to BTC. PrimeCoin = 1 minute block time, neither SHA nor Scrypt,
mining it actualy produces useful side-effects, actively developed by known dev. All in all, when compared with XPM, LTC is an old tech. All
aces LTC community were pulling all this years (different algo, faster, more coins total) are no longer important. There are much better deals.
Difficulty has nothing to do with the price of a coin, not for Bitcoin and not for Litecoin. Difficulty however will catch on with the price because a lot of the Litecoin miners where actually mining with a loss so a lot of them quit, the second group will come back and in the meantime the first one deserve the extra value. Wink

Less and less useful? Compared to which alt coin exactly? Bitcoin and Litecoin are actually the only coins I ever used to pay things with. Never had the option to pay with any other coin. You expect to see Primecoin next month on all major exchanges, payment processors build for it and merchants accepting it? Litecoin is on it's way for all that but you think that magically out of the blue people will think "nah, old tech lets switch to another coin". I guess I better also sell all my Bitcoins before the others realize it is old tech. Roll Eyes
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FREE][BONUS-GIVEAWAY] Just claimed 100 USD on: November 09, 2013, 04:34:45 PM
Today the admin started to post free codes in the shoutbox, when you are fast enough to copy paste it on the redeem code page before anyone else you get it. Wink

Or like in my case for being on the shoutbox (and actually being to slow copy-pasting the codes Tongue). That's pretty much how you can get a code, happens more but you got to be online on CT on the right moment.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BONUS-CODE-GIVEAWAY] Just claimed 100 USD on: November 09, 2013, 04:21:33 PM
Yeah, doesn't hurt to check the shoutbox on CT.
I got a 5 LTC code pm'ed to me by the admin for participating. Smiley

Mooi voorbeeld is Satoshi Forest: http://bitcoinmagazine.com/6939/seans-outpost-announces-satoshi-forest/

Undecided
100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto-Trade Representative! on: October 25, 2013, 05:21:15 PM
I have used this exchange and everything went fine, I didn't stumble on any problems and there seems to be always an admin in the shoutbox. But like I said I didn't stumble on any problems so there was no need for me to contact their customer service and I can't confirm if they really reply within 24h.

Only problem this exchange really has is the low volume. Besides that, it looks like a promising exchange.
