81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt full feature clients - progress tracking thread on: February 02, 2014, 11:18:42 PM
No way to assess a client, no matter how advanced and full functional it might be, unless it is OPEN SOURCED!

That ~48K prize should be awarded to a client the open source code of which has been audited prior to deadline. So I ask all the client developers who already released their clients, even an initial version, to present the code resource, so it could be verified before any serious using..

While I already paid 100K to wesleigh and 100K to nexern for their previous efforts, but if their coming clients support Windows OS as well, they can also be considered for that 48K prize competition.

But again, only open sourced clients gentlemen, no way to risk 1M of Nxt balance by using a closed source one!

Nothing good is gained by putting time pressure on devs.

I prefer publishing a stable and good client and miss the bounty deadline.
Okay you can go that way, I didn't know asking for open source is putting pressure!

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt marketing & promotion :: Price breaks $0.10 on Bter, Dgex on: January 24, 2014, 08:53:08 PM
One can open a new thread inviting new projects-services idea presenters or team of developers to publish their plans, and also investors informing about their desire to invest on some specific kinds of projects or businesses for a defined share.. this way they can match each other and start developing the stuff effectively.. this way the public nxter crowd will have an opportunity to have a finger in work by suggesting desired features and improvements that would result in more user friendly and popular productions and services.

I had the plan to open such a thread much before when I opened the bounty thread, but for personal reason, I prefer to stay away from business side of the things.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt marketing & promotion :: Price breaks $0.10 on Bter, Dgex on: January 24, 2014, 08:06:45 PM
Are those "..descendant of Nxt" shits spamming in this altcoin section of btt a planned promotional act??
I hope not and hope it is the typical spam trolls doing their routines but since I see some known
Nxt faces oppening some threads of that type recently, I would say if it is a planned "spreading the
word of Nxt" strategy, then it is a very stupid one and will have more negative effects than positive
in the long run..

@salsacs: About the presses I inquired for the already awarded 100K, fortunately CoinDesk published a news
about bter adding Nxt, in which Nxt features has been explained a bit, so no matter that press resulted
out from your efforts or not, I count it as the first one credited.
So you now need to have two more important news press in ZeroHedge, WallStreet or btcmagazine until the
end of March to satisfy the whole 100K bounty condition.
And I am following your team efforts, very good active collaborations, thank you.

Now is the time for another thread to push publishing, helping and supporting new third-party projects-services
that use Nxt as a medium of exchange. For example a good gambling-poker platform, or an auction or digital good
selling site.. so on. Without having this step done and developing a small live economy around Nxt supply we can not expect
Nxt to be accepted by big retailers who sell or provide physical goods in future, no matter how good or excellent the Nxt core
is developed or no matter how many speculators has bought in Nxt and risen its temporary exchange value.

Still want to buy 50-100k NXT.

Nearly only scammers offered me something :/

so many buyers and no one wants to sell. i found this same problem when i ran my orderbook. i only ever found one seller the whole time.

This is true. Anyone selling NXT?

bter. Fees are minimal.

yea but thats the point. no one is selling small amounts in this thread anymore. i think i may buy a big bulk purchase just so that i can resell it to people in this thread for a small profit and to help the nxt community by lowering barriers to entry.
What's the point of selling small chunks here when bter fees are minimal and I could receive my btc withdrawal in 5 minutes??
I would still continue selling here, but only big chunks (>100K), interested buyers can pm me and ask.
But they should send btc first, we can do it publicly in 2 or 3 batches if it is a high volume purchase (>500K) and the buyer feels a bit unsafe, but no way to do it in more than 3 batches or through call or skype.. that is too sticky.
For smaller chunks I prefer to sell in bter and any future coming good exchange as well (excluding that opportunist dgex shit).

so you really dont think i would be adding any value at all to the community if i did a bulk purchase and than used that nxt to avail myself for small trades?
That would be helpful and certainly will add some value, but yes I believe the positive effect would be minimal at this point.

I do not object to his cautious mentality, surely 45 BTC is too much money.
But I am not really interested, my last deal was with a guy buying 1.6 M for 84 BTC, he sent in two batches, each 42 BTC.
All I say is that if you do not know me or trust me, you better go and buy from some other seller with more patience.
I can not do 500K in 9 batches after my accounts being tested for half an hour, no insisting to sell!
Good day.

 Grin

I'm the one that bybitcoin is talking about here.

Bybitcoin, I'd like to point out that I emphasized in my PMs to you that I wanted to connect personally with you on phone or skype or something to work out the details of a deal, including who sends first, how much, and so forth. Instead your entire reply to me was:

Quote
It is alright but you should send first.

Which comes across to me as arrogant, and you ordering me to send first. You may not actually be arrogant, or bossy, but that is how I interpreted your reply.

The way I see it, the potential deal we were talking about is worth more than many college graduates earn in an entire year, and I will treat it seriously and with respect. In my opinion, your approach is too casual.

And lets face it -- neither one of us are newbies in the bitcoin scene. I have a longer history of P2P trading than you, and you have shown a lot of passion and generosity in promoting and subsidizing the Nxt community. So neither one of us is some scrub in off the street trying to buy thousands worth via paypal.

I think it's great that you found someone else to send you BTC42 based on some PMs that you guys traded, and I'm glad it went well for both of you. Note, though, that this person is not willing to buy 500k NXT from you today.

There are only a handful of people around that trade in the sorts of volumes we're talking about here. It's really in everyone's interest to build relationships with others so that down the line when we want to move bitcoins or NXTs around, we have people we're comfortable doing business with that we can call on when needed.

Incidentally, I do sales for a living and have clients that spend annually anywhere from $10,000 and over $1 million with me. So I make my living making deals with people and building networks and relationships.

I judged, that based on your posting and trading history, the chance of something going wrong had I sent first was <2%. But the chance that my house burns down this year is <1% and I still buy insurance against that. I was more interested in talking to you and getting to know you than quibbling over do I send BTC5 or BTC25 at a time. But for a deal worth US$40,000, a phone call and 15 minutes of your time I do not think is too much to ask. Again, though, that's just how I do things in my real job and what I'm used to doing to put food on my table. So just like you don't want to spend an hour waiting for transactions to clear, I don't want to send BTC45 because I was ordered to in an 8-word long PM. Maybe our styles are just different.

Just sharing another perspective...
I didn't object to your behavior, I just cleared my position for future buyers who may come to me.
It may look as my arrogance, but that is my style, I have no time and patience for long and overdoing things, after all I am not a businessman like you are.
I hate complicated things, and I can not change myself. Nothing wrong if you can not trust me, but also nothing wrong if I can not handle an 11 steps complicated deal including phone call and personal contact with you, no matter how much the deal is worth!
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Trading Thread for Nxt :: Descendant of Bitcoin on: January 23, 2014, 01:12:38 AM
Understand where you're coming from, but coming from a buyer's perspective...perhaps he just hasn't been on this forum enough to know.  If he really is seriously about investing 45btc, I too would want some extreme measures to ensure my investment is 100 percent secure.

Best of luck with your sales! (I may be doing some purchasing with you shortly Smiley )

This is the content of my conversation with a buyer who pm'd me:

I am interested in your 500k NXT and I think that BTC0.00009 is a fair price.

Please see the following post, and let me know how you'd like to proceed.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345336.msg4669244#msg4669244

I'm on IRC in the #nxtalk channel right now, or we can link up on Skype or Google chat to iron out details.

Thank you.
It is alright but you should send first.

Sorry for the delay. I've been working my real job, and then I had to go through your post history to determine if you are trustworthy.

I see you've donated several hundred thousand NXT to help improve the project, so I guess you're OK.

This is a deal worth a lot of money, so I still want to be cautious. For all I know, your bitcointalk account has been hacked, so can you please transfer 12 NXT to ################ from a large NXT account? Before I sent any bitcoin I want to make sure that your bitcointalk account hasn't been hacked.

Then let me know where I can send a small amount of BTC (say BTC0.05) to make sure the BTC address is good.

After that I would like to break it into chunks around BTC5 each.

I would also feel more comfortable (and we can do this faster) to speak with you in real life on the phone or skype or something.

Ultimately, I am looking for 500,000 NXT for BTC45 total.

Thank you.

When my btt account got hacked that I do not know myself??
After selling ~39M Nxt in this thread and running the main btt bounty and big giveaway thread, this is what I get?!
If a buyer really don't know me or has doubt about my trust reputation , please go for another seller!
Thank you.

I sent salsacz 100K for him and you UtopianFuture to supply your attempts pushing the PR.

And here I am to give you ~48K more to use for awarding the best opensource client for windows (on which I ll need a short report)
please provide the Nxt account to send you the 48K fund!

Hey you can send it to my donor acc 3041433146235555849. Since this is a private donor's fund, it is going to the best opensource client regardless the previous rounds of funding. I would set the date to award this amount on March 1.

bybitcoin, is it  from your personal fund or from multiple donors ? I am going to give an update in the first page.
Sent 48380 Nxt to 3041433146235555849 from 2537603335500006326, please confirm.
This was the last piece of coins which I was holding in our multiple donors' pool for bounty projects.
I offered this ~48K for code auditing or cryptography review but no one came ahead to ask for them.
I finally decided to put them here for the clients progress as the most important piece of development!

But please remember: this 48380 is to award a OPENSOURCE windows or multi-platform client (which includes windows too).
I already awarded wesleyh 100K for his Mac client, so this 48K I prefer to be awarded to a client that supports windows too.
I need a report on whom you awarded, his/her client details and the amount..

please confirm it.
I confirm it and also I bought an alias, it will be in the blockchain explorer soon. Much thanks Smiley
Nice: you and utopianfuture have the full right to spend it on whatever you seem fit (paying yourself included), but remember you should try to find a way into big medias soon (coindesk-btcmagazine-zerohedge-wallstreet-genesisblock). This is the minimum but the must I expect from your team for 100K.

PS: I can give ~48K for the cryptography review or the client development, whoever is in charge, please pm me or post here so I can release that fund to be used for the supplying purposes.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt marketing & promotion - progress tracking thread on: January 19, 2014, 01:33:58 AM
@salsacz: I am ready to transfer 100K to your pool, you already stablished your high determination for helping Nxt become a huge success.
Please one of you, salsacz or utopianfuture provide a Nxt account here for me to release the entire 100K.
You will have the entire control and right to decide where to spend them, but I expect minimum two important medias to cover nxt news through your attempts backed by this fund before end of March (zerohedge, wallstreet, coindesk, btcmagazine, genesisblock..) and a report on them being fulfilled with the links included.

Trying CNN , BBC and other very big news coverage is excellent but not necessary for this funding plan, as I know they might be harder and need more Nxt development stages to pass on before getting their attention.

Hi bybitcoin,
here is the account:

2037401990853753795

New updates:
- I've gathered information for the Nxtmyths articles, they will be used as a source for future articles in the press

1. Nxt is a scam, it was created by anonymous developers
2. The unfair Distribution
3. Original stakeholders
4. Source code (citations)
5. Unsafe password
6. Worthless coin without mining (very long text)
7. Rich get richer (Nxt vs. Yahoo, Ebay, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin..)
8. No innovations over Bitcoin (features + calculations of the Nxt network [vs. Bitcoin's])

As you could see here, now we have a list of articles and journalists from important Magazines
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412243.msg4555447#msg4555447

We need perfect texts to send them, I am preparing a lot of comparisons, they will be used for:

Topics:

- Nxt's feature: resistant to 51% attack - Ghash's pool is risking Bitcoin's security again with 40% of the network's hashpower and no one is talking about it. Pools of PoW machines with enormous hashpower is Bitcoin's most pressing concern and biggest flaw right now. Nextcoin is the best answer to this. Why is it not being talked about more?

- Friendly gaming with Nxt (vs. Litecoin) - you can mine and play 3D game at the same time

- New altcoins hosted in Nxt's blockchain

- the Green Nxt - myth n. 8

- Nxt in the history of money

... There will be a huge number of topics, but currently I want to focus on finishing the Myths to have some basic facts about Nxt. The topics must be very popular, viral... They will be a reply for problems of other currencies (Bitcoin especially)

+
as you can see from the previous posts, I am watching the media activities and invite people to comment articles about Nxt. + Managing the OP of this thread.

Sent you 100K from 2537603335500006326 to 2037401990853753795, please confirm it.
Nice work guys, do carry on.
