the price might have a good rise but I don't think it could go over the price of the btc. maybe in a few years but I don't think this will happen in the near future
I do agree... BCH had a big rise recently, but there's still a big gap, too big, for BCH to surpass BTC.. We'll never know what will happen in the future, but I think people will keep their faith on BTC ~ |

the WAVE project is really promising.
The year 2018 looks interesting and we could see WAVES take off as ETH did in 2017.
By the end of this year, I think Waves could reach $ 25
well your assumption to the question is realistic but in my own opinion it would be around 100 dollars each because of its one of a kind technology. I really hope that you will be right on the estimate of the waves for this end of the year. For my part, I wanted to stay very reasonable see maybe a little pessimistic  Yeah, $100 is a too optimistic number,, I even not sure of waves could reach $25 at the end of the year.. I predict there will be huge dump between christmas and new year as everybody needs money for holiday.. but who knows ~ |

Yes it rise very fast, I think there are some whales are playing this coin and when they left, doge will be back to the hole again, for me its too risky to invest, because when its drop, it keep on dropping there wont be any bouncing

be careful, look for an ICO that doesn't offer insane benefits to early investors because those tend to dump very fast after listing (huge bounties, big discounts, ...). I'm sure most ico's will be succesful in the long term, but you'll make more money more quickly if you buy the dump right after listing. don' forget there's also a big risk with buying coins right after the listing, as some might be scam.. and, I'm not really agree that most ICO will be successful in long term, as we can see today, most are scam, and only few shows a good promising future.. we need to be very carefull on what we invest our money into... |

Most of the altcoins are losing and will continue to lose value in btc to balance their prices in dollar.
So if you are thinking to invest in altcoins for the long tem, keep that in mind. You might even be in profit, but your 1 btc today can become 0.5 btc when investing in altcoins.
that's why today, I don't invest all of my money to BTC or ALT only... I spend 80% to BTC and 20% to promising ALT...,,, I do believe BTC, as mother of all crypto, should be our 1st investment.. but seing that some alts grow faster than BTC, I humbly spend 20% of my investment money on them ~ |

This might not last long during new year there is going to be a huge dump and by huge i mean really huge. Alts will crash as usual but there are sources claiming the btc will fall back to $10k. Obviously it won't stay till that price and will get pumped quickly but still it's a point to note.
The current situation is really favourable situation for all the coins. It's better to put stop loss if you have any major holdings no one needs to have a sad moment on new year.
I agree that there will be a huge dump during new year, and I'm waiting for it.. We should expect drop in near future , but at what level who knows.
Few months ago someone said that crypto's part in world assets is about 0.2% and about 15-20 million people doing crypto's.
Those numbers are little bit higher, but there is a big potential don't you agree

I had about 2000 BLUE from airdrop few weeks ago,,, price are increasing very fast, from $0.03 to $0.4,,, it even reach $0.56 at it's higher price few days ago...
I hope this coin will grow.. I'm not sure about the future of this coin, but at the moment, it grows fast and I'm happy with it ~

I really do not see that kind of rally coming up in ETH,it had its rally in the past,when it was below ten dollars and had a big rally when projects started using them and now we have reached over $400 which i think is a pretty decent valuation for the coin which has no limits. The best valuation i expect is $1000 and not more than that for now.
ETH grows very fast, I think it would be higher than $1000,,, but I also believe that it wont be as high as $5000-$10000 because that was too high... If we see ETH price theese last 3 months, I think $2000-$3000 is a realistic target for us to hope ~ |

I feel bitcoin is too expensive to invest in atm, i was close to buying 5BTC back in September but thought it was expensive then (what a mistake)
I know it could still rise a lot more but with what i have available to invest, isn't gonna be life changing for me.
So I'm looking to invest and hodl altcoins and a lot of people seem to have faith in ETH even though the network had had problems recently.
Anyone think it still has good potential to rise a lot?
First of all i would like to add that, you are already late in investing in crypto's. But there is nothing to worry as there is lot of room present even now, and you can go for investing in bitcoin as it is huge demand even after crossing the 10k price value. This is all because the bitcoin and its technology is been used by increasing number of participation which brings the huge demand of it in the market and i recommend you to go with bitcoin for now. I agree that it was never too late to invest now, BTC price is still rising, and there are also a lot of new ALT with promising future today.. So we can always work it out.. I also agree that we need to go to BTC, and maybe spend a little to invest on promising ALT ~ |

No, it will grow together. Altcoins need BTC, it ll be together  I do think so.. but as we can see, BTC grow faster than popular alts, such as ETH, LTC, MONERO, etc, at the moment.. So I think it would be wise if we don't invest all of our money on ALT, but also at BTC ~ |

Ethereum, Zcash, Dash and Monero can see much higher prices in the future. But if you ask what is the best. I think Ethereum is the best. My favorite after Ethereum is Zcash.

The idea of investing in ethereum is good, Ethereum is one of the most reliable and trusted crpytocurrency, next to bitcoin i think. Among the alt coins, it is the most popular and also more stable, compare to other alt coin. It is on a slow steady rate when it comes to its market price. But this property of ethereum will also limit the potential of your money to grow to maximum, because it will take a longer time to increase its price, which an disadvantage on other altcoin. That's only my opinion. The choice is always yours dude, ethereum is what makes btc dominance decreasing drastically, it's the best among the top list of altcoins, no doubt about it. the pumping is coming when there's the right time, saying ethereum lack of volatility is really very wrong. I think so too, ETH is the best alt today, and maybe you best chance to invest on altcoins... But for investment, ETH to BTC ratio going down from the past few weeks... So I think, ETH is the best altcoins to invest, but investing in BTC would give a better profit for long term ~ |

I think there are none... but BTC has the best progress into becoming world currency... BTC is like the father of all crypto, with its price rising from the past months, BTC becoming more and more popular in the world... but still, not ready yet to be world currency... there's still a long way to go ~ For me nowadays only bitcoin. This coin has such bigger expierience in this type of "big" scale popularization that it could be the world currency.

we can actually do both... Investing some for a long term, and do the buy low sell high trading in a short term... Since you are a newbie, I would suggest you to first of all study and understand the market behaviour. Trading is something that you do in a short-term, probably a day or week. In investing, the period varies from 3 months to 10/20 years so if you think you are flexible enough to take quick decisions and analyse the situation in less time then trading is suitable for you and if not then consider investing because you get some time to make any decision. You can start with the lowest possible amount to understand the market behaviour and build your strategies according to it.
yeah, to be successfull in trading and investing, you need a good skill to analyze the market behaviour... and maybe some luck would help too ~ |
