1 LTC coins out of 1oz silver and sell them for like 20 LTC. I'd probably buy some of those.
I like that idea but not for 1ltc at least for 10ltc/coin with current spot price of silver of 22.5$/oz let's say you got them at 24$ and 3$/ltc = 8ltc for silver + 10 ltc + 3-5ltc I would be ready to pay between 21-26ltc for a 10ltc-1ozSilver coin with current market condition for silver and ltc

I'm not sure what's involved in listing a coin on an exchange, as an exchange operator. In theory I agree. I would certainly hope that the exchange operators aren't saying "I'm not going to list XXX coin because we're too good for that coin! We have a reputation to keep up!" That would be foolish. I'm not too sure about that..let's pretend MtGox accepted almost every altcoin out there. I think that'd discredit them in the eyes of the mainstream, and this is critical if were ever gonna see these types of ideas reach significantly beyond these forums/niche audience. Because after all, the mainstream doesn't share our view of the free market as we know. However I would agree with exchanges setting standards that people should adhere to concerning cryptocurrencies. Of course this would all be voluntary, and if an exchange wanted few or no standards, that's fine too (just think of bter "spreading its legs" and being "slutty" ) There is a tone of crappy compagny with crappy stocks out there, just look at most of the pink sheet.

Yeah right, 10gld for 1btc, good luck with that: Sorry for posting this in the noob section, but I wish to remain anonymous for now. Please move to Alt section.
Block rewards in order: 1 - 200 Block @ 10000 GLD (START Mining – They will go fast) 201 - 2200 Blocks @ 1000 GLD (should last a day) 2201 - 26200 Blocks @ 500 GLD (should last a week) 26201 - 48700 Blocks @ 400 GLD 48700 - 173700 Blocks @ 200 GLD 173701 - 673700 Blocks @ 100 GLD ~100 million total coins
I'm an optimist, I look into the 2nd law of thermodynamics and don't blink, also 5 times as many coins may give 105 mil, so 10 to 1 is okay In the long run, maybe, but we are not there yet, so for now it's 2,000,000 coin already out there in way less than a day of existence lol.

So basically if you start with diff 0 in less than a day 14% of all coin will be already mined ? tha'ts a complete joke

It does seem to be a scam, someone started mining using the old code from github that has not finished being coded yet, for example it does not even have the starting difficulty adjusted yet.
Give the guy time to finish coding his coin and make a real genesis block for it and launch it for real.
-MarkM-
yeah ? then why "the guy" changed the title of is own topic to "[ANN] Elacoin | Released | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine" ?

Personnaly I have decided to not waste any more time/gpupower on this coin. The lunch was terrible at best and if the community think the concept of this coin could be interesting, we should just fork it and relunch it the way it supposed to be done. Have a good day every one.
|
|
|
We should just relunch properly this coin.
No win binary, no config file, pool not working, that's just a joke

The original blockchain does seem to be winning the fight but if anyone can compile a new gamecoin-qt.exe, an addition of some checkpoints to src/checkpoints.cpp should help. Current: static MapCheckpoints mapCheckpoints = boost::assign::map_list_of ( 0, uint256("0x12a765e31ffd4059bada1e25190f6e98c99d9714d334efa41a195a7e7e04bfe2")) ( 15000, uint256("0xdb0386f2b3c77be8406e5f6e0b0f17d116a20e44ab312d81c78cabdb0a25fdfa")) ; Changed to add extra block hashes: static MapCheckpoints mapCheckpoints = boost::assign::map_list_of ( 0, uint256("0x12a765e31ffd4059bada1e25190f6e98c99d9714d334efa41a195a7e7e04bfe2")) ( 15000, uint256("0xdb0386f2b3c77be8406e5f6e0b0f17d116a20e44ab312d81c78cabdb0a25fdfa")) ( 15500, uint256("0x5d056501ff02bf9220fb92f8ef6c5b18f4427216bf0c3e9c0de0ea26a78d6b1c")) ( 16000, uint256("0x1238760df809ed04c7c835f2ccc2230f1a12060c4af4ccf4a5076c43b3ec00f6")) ( 16500, uint256("0xc1aa0164d8262d606a5345e0b329af0833b1931c066e6ae0cd514d7943fc6e49")) ( 17000, uint256("0xa9b9ce5ab12059921ee9fab0e2ede9947181a924e36de5bbb9701e31408c92e3")) ( 17500, uint256("0x7ef8701746335ee4ab4c69173aacba0cf17ddce96cdcc8557962e9bc499e76f7")) ( 18000, uint256("0x500c4a1edf9ca19a3d7abff3338d45a7e76d28b324dbb212dc5d4dee1cb07cc9")) ( 18500, uint256("0x181d8fb8bb94ca4f1147c9d8b3d7ea56d5bcc4145f853e6a4333eb7eb791e812")) ( 19000, uint256("0x285c6caac0624e68279cbd60695dccc0f43a69b1be70776dd694befdcc21cac7")) ( 19100, uint256("0x47373775b7db1213a9027a741b5225e5b96ef1c2932ba04e9ff178b951838ed1")) ( 19200, uint256("0xaebd1cb984fe55090254fbd766275d007863f02a4327a0d655f881e7b8fe5bdd")) ( 19264, uint256("0xa8ea7f271fd5c0430df91c9e62604932624bbac96eb8fc015faf284f6a712c4b")) ; So far, it work's great, thanks. Now we need the dev to push the changes on github. Edit: Or not. same probleme popup again

qmake is just generating a makefile. You need to take the makefile of litecoin(use qmake to generate it) for example, and use is to compile powercoin with : make -j numberOfCore You will end up with litecoin-qt, then : mv litecoin-qt powercoin-qt Personnaly i used the makefile of gamecoin, but it should be the same.
|
|
|
Yeah the makefile doesn't work need to use one from another coin, and it will work just fine

Not sure what's happening, but there is something really wrong with the network of this one, wallet can't synch, and ~40k are gone, but the p2p transaction still show up. Did everything got orphaned for some reason ?
|
|
|
Do you people really think someone who didn't even post a single msg on the "official" website would have made coin confirmed on an exchange before lunch ?

40 reject so far :/ p6oMfH9rqYi83ucfjfzBzsbRbbkJgtT2em lunch a p2p pool someone

Original makefile not working on ubuntu. Just need to use one of another coin.

Check the magic bytes that define which coin-network the client connects to. Someone implied earlier it is on the Feathercoin network; that is, they did not list the network ID aka handshake aka magic bytes or magic number among the tiny number of things that were changed to be different from Feathercoin. It was claimed to even have the same genesis block. Ergo, it is a client running on the Feathercoin network, with Feathercoin's genesis block, attempting to hard-fork the Feathercoin blockchain. -MarkM- Look's like you're right : "gamecoin" : const char* pszTimestamp = "NY Times 05/Oct/2011 Steve Jobs, Apple’s Visionary, Dies at 56"; uint256 hashGenesisBlock("0x12a765e31ffd4059bada1e25190f6e98c99d9714d334efa41a195a7e7e04bfe2"); "feather" : const char* pszTimestamp = "NY Times 05/Oct/2011 Steve Jobs, Apple’s Visionary, Dies at 56"; uint256 hashGenesisBlock("0x12a765e31ffd4059bada1e25190f6e98c99d9714d334efa41a195a7e7e04bfe2");
