81  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-03] Despite Naysayers the Bitcoin Cash Blockchain Chugs Forward on: August 04, 2017, 03:10:48 AM
I did hear from alot of users who have their withdrawals waiting for the past 20 hours now do not having enough miners to complete the blocks yet so having in their transactions to their respective wallets confirmed.
So when you are saying chugging along. You really mean it! Wink
But by the Tommy the choo-choo train and not by the steam engine as we have know the blockchain has been built for the past 9 years on. Grin
82  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-02]Could SegWit2x Lead to Three Different Bitcoins? on: August 03, 2017, 05:42:20 PM
I heard of this.
Someone saying they are looking at another name to call it.
BCN was one of them. Grin
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017-08-01 Coinbase/GDAX Biggest Crypto Fraud in history? on: August 03, 2017, 03:02:45 AM
I heard poloniex is next with being looked and inspected into.
They went offline last night and was off for atleast 4 hours without explaining or notifying their users.

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: ▆ - ▆ - ▆ ZenCash Avatar and Signature Campaign ▆ - ▆ - ▆ [OPEN] on: August 02, 2017, 05:45:28 PM
I have received payment from last week thank you.
And to the one asking about it being low for senior members at 0.005btc, no it is not.
The payrate is 4 zen and it trades currently at 0.001385btc each zencash.
So it works out to 0.0055btc which is not very bad for the price of btc right now. So that is $14.99 at current prices.
So that is over $1 per post. THink about it please. Other campaigns pay less per post because they ask you to post double if not triple this amount in order for you to receive payment at the end of the week for you to receive your payment.

BTW MedaR

I have reached hero member a couple of days ago.
Please up my rank on the spreadsheet please.

Thank you.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: !!!--- [WTS] BCC/BCH BitcoinCash in Exchange for Bitcoin or Monero ---!!! on: August 02, 2017, 04:53:18 PM
That is the thing with buying BCH/BCC right now.

You do not know if you will receive them as you should or not.
Since the blockchain has not fully formed yet.

So it is a 50/50 chance you will receive them if at all right now! Roll Eyes

So you are taking a risk in doing this. Embarrassed
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling 2.6BCC for BTC,ETH,USDT on: August 02, 2017, 04:48:23 PM
I have some interest in buy them.
But I require you to send first the private key (at least for the lowest amount) first.
Then I will pay you the equivalent in bitcoin for it but at the lowest rate on the exchange it is showing on coinmarket

I will not pay your offering price. Since the coin can lose value almost immediately after I buy it before getting it on an exchange to trade with it.

If you can not do this then I withdraw my offer to buy them.

Thanks.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: WTS BitcoinCash for anything liquid, BTC ETH DASH XMR whatever.. on: August 02, 2017, 04:41:52 PM
I give you the market rate that it is trading right now(on the lowest rate on an exchange) but on a condition you send half of it first so to know I will be able to receive it properly.
The wallet is still not as stable as bitcoin core is right now.
So there is some risk involved.

PM me if you agree to do this.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 01, 2017, 10:39:18 PM
Thanks for clarifying everything theymos. As I don't want to do anything with my BCC at all, good to know that I can claim it whenever I wanted.

So in-case their replay protection doesn't work.

We should just send all our BTC to ourselves? So send entire balance from the same BTC address to the same BTC address? Does the Bitcoin network allow that?

If you are using electrum just send it to another wallet where you have new private keys. And use the old wallet where you've got those bitcoins for claiming BCC just for protection.

If you want to send BCH then we need an entire new wallet?

Exactly.

About Electrum Cash
-------------------

The name "Electrum" has been visible on bitcoincash.org and
electrumcash.org, with a modified version of our logo. The use of our
name and logo constitutes a trademark infringement.

We have never enforced our trademark against altcoin versions of
Electrum (such as Litecoin, etc), because we consider that users of
these altcoins are well aware of the distinction between Bitcoin and
their coin, and that they cannot be harmed by that confusion. However,
we do not agree with the use of the Electrum name in the context of a
Bitcoin fork, because it suggests that we endorse that fork, and that
we also endorse that wallet.

We reserve ourselves the right to use the name Electrum for a Bitcoin
Cash wallet, should we decide to publish one in the future.

But if you look at their twitter they are saying it is not just that easy. Undecided

Here is the official announcement on behalf of what Hitbtc is doing with this hard fork and the coins you hold with them:

BCCF on HitBTC

Our statement on BitcoinCash support
Dear traders,

Since the Bitcoin improvement proposal (BIP-91) had been agreed on, it seemed like Bitcoin crisis is averted and the market-shaking fork won’t take place. Bitcoin development community decided to embrace the software upgrade called SegWit2x, which aims to increase network’s transaction capacity.

But it turns out that still there are controversies left to resolve. BitcoinCash (BCC) development team had announced that they will go ahead with a fork on August 1st. The essence of their project is to increase the block size to 8 Mb, providing protection from replay and wipeout attacks. And they do not support SegWit. Hard fork is extremely likely to expect.

Our mission here is to protect your funds and provide you with the most flexible and up-to-date market tools. From now on you are able to purchase BitcoinCash futures (BCCF) right here on HitBTC, even before the hard fork. Trading pairs to BTC, ETH and USD are available. Once hard fork takes place, these futures are going to be transformed into BCC.

Also those of you who store a certain amount of BTC on their accounts, will receive the same amount of BCC. We assure you that all Bitcoin funds, stored on exchange, will be safe before, during and after the fork process.

For further information you are welcomed to contact our support team.

BCC on Bitfinex is BITCOIN CORE
And Bitconnect on coinexchange.io

And your point is? Undecided

This alt coin naming format was rushed out the door and not thought out very well. Roll Eyes

OP is talking about Bitfinex, so GTFO out of here with coinexchange.io
Either way, anything that isn't called BTC is an impostor and should be avoided.
These exchanges are not abiding by the same standard naming convention when it comes to this stupid alt coin. Roll Eyes

So just queue it up to that. Tongue
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty [IXT] InsureX blockchain-secured marketplace for Insurance Bounty Program on: July 31, 2017, 05:32:10 PM
Just a heads up, discussion about the bounty pool has ended and full payout will be allowed. We have calculated payouts according to that and tokenmarket will be heading to shoot payout soon.

This^^ was the main reason about the delay.

Good to hear this.

Now just get Tokenmarket to send out an official announcement by posting a message here on the exact time they release those bounty tokens to the people who have been waiting for them all this time.

Just so not to have a slew of countless messages just like the above post by pingu39. Wink

93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Fun Poll for BTC vs BCC on: July 31, 2017, 05:26:16 PM
I'll probably dump most of my BCC for BTC, but I'm afraid that by the time I can access them the race to the bottom will already have started. So I guess I'll dump some as soon as possible (or on the first bounce), keep some for possible future pumps (because even small alts get pumper love) and a small amount I'll probably hodl long term, just in case. In all cases I'll only sell for BTC, selling for fiat is too risky even with BCC.

May the fastest man to dump win. I'm ready now to dump my BCC as soon as it appears on my. I hope that I can still sold mine while it has a value. This will be a hunger games on dumping it and I can't wait to see it.  Grin
Have more trader like your idea, the panic selling of Bitcoin Cash can't avoid after distribuite. But how much the price dip lowest? This is difficult question and we don't know the time this coin bounce again by whales Smiley
Well it has started already on exchanges as the people who received their coins already have been dumping them.

Last price I saw was at 0.200btc per coin and dropping as the dumping spree has began! Grin
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BCC on Bitfinex on: July 31, 2017, 05:17:18 PM
I see BCC on Bitfinex is already trading and there are trades executed.
How is that possible? I thought BCC is available from tomorrow?

How do people get BCC on Bitfinex to trade them there?

1. Follw these steps to get fee BCC
2. You need to copy of you wallet file or privatekey of your BTC addy
4. BCC will release new wallets
5. If you import your private key into BCC then you will get same amount of BCC
6. before importing you can move your BTC into another addy also
5. If you import your private key into BCC WALLET*** then you will get same amount of BCC
So the entire process is not as automatic that wallet providers are making it look to everyone who holds their btc with them.
Hmm. Sounds too difficult for the normal person who just has an iphone wallet to do their purchases with.
To copy private keys and such things like this will baffle these type of people and I am beginning to think..
that is what the creators of Bitcoincash is counting on! Embarrassed
So to confuse the masses and not having them redeem their so called "Free coins!". Roll Eyes

folks, please calm down. as you can see, they are only managing the campaign and not holding the tokens for the bounty.. dev said that they already paid the bounty since they already handed it with the tokenmarket, which will be the one who will distribute.. this is what i understand about the whole thing. just correct me if im wrong.

yes, i agree with you.. people must be patient and wait a little bit more for the bounties.. besides there is no exchange that has a good price, unless you all want to dump ITX tokens on etherdelta.
Somebody posted a photo of it being on coinmarketcap already so it should be listed on other exchanges soon.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty [IXT] InsureX blockchain-secured marketplace for Insurance Bounty Program on: July 29, 2017, 03:06:49 AM

So what does this mean they gave the proceeds of the bounty tokens to tokenmarket for them to "hold" anyways?
Do we need to register with tokenmarket's website in order to expediate the processing of our tokens so we can obtain them then?
This is all very confusing and so is this person "Eric" who is handling the questions on the telegram channel for this token with the insurex company. As their support person and he has not even heard of them doing this and does not know what we are talking about when questioned about bounty tokens.
He just refers back to talking to the managers of the campaigns and bounty payments.
So this should be handled and dealt with by either Jamal or Avi.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: July 28, 2017, 10:20:29 PM
NEO (ANS) ~ most potential imo. Other coins with big potential imo are STRAT, DASH, LTC. Other good alts to have imo are ETH, XMR, XRP, XLM, IOTA.
All those you have listed are out of reach for some who are small time in investing and just starting out.

I read somewhere if you bought using 1 bitcoin for stratis this time last year you would have 649 bitcoins worth if you sold it today.
This is over $1.8 million usd at todays rate of what bitcoin is. Lips sealed

Seems impossible but it is true. Undecided

You can actually acquire real estate from an ico now?  Huh

How is it you portion out the land title?
This and the other ones related to getting a piece of a title is not possible. Undecided

Where our tokens? hurry up your escrow.
I do think everyone here would agree if they could give everyone the FULL amount of the bounty tokens they said they would before the project started then ALL participants would not mind waiting a little bit longer for their payments in these tokens.

Wouldn't you think? Undecided
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty [IXT] InsureX blockchain-secured marketplace for Insurance Bounty Program on: July 28, 2017, 12:25:01 PM
Its not cool that they reduced the bounty but they make sense. Shorter bounty campaign=smaller rewards.

See I wouldn't have any problem if campaign had gone to its full tenure as we framed it. Anyway it is upon project owners also , so if they allow to pay the full bounty then its cool. I will reach out jamal to talk to project owners about full payment.
Yes. This would be the best thing to do. Even Jamal has said they are in the Tokenmarket escrows hands so if there is enough tokens to be given for payment in full for everyone who was involved from the start (it is an ico for an insurance company after all Undecided ) due to unforseen circumstances which had it ended prematurely. Then I agree with this conference with the owners on this for their reconsideration of the matter. And I don't see them being against it either. Since the tokens from what I heard are lower than expected in value so this would encourage more trading on the market thus boosting their token's value.
