Newb question but where can i buy monreo?  Lips sealed

Curious, are you the "real" isildur1?

Anyway, there are a few exchanges available the let you buy XMR. The biggest (and in my opinion the most reliable) is Poloniex -> https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_xmr. This exchange also has the best liquidity. As "second" exchange I could recommend Bittrex -> https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XMR.

If you haven't bought on exchanges before, here is an explanation of amoebatron on how to do it:

Thank you very much for your time in posting. And no i am not the real isildur1 lol Im not that cool. So there is no way to buy Monreo using Debit card transactions or paypal?
why are you against using paypal for crypto? Sorry again for the newb question but im new to this
I'd generally advise against using Paypal for crypto. Regarding debit card, depends on what part of the world you are in. There is no direct way by the way, but you could buy Bitcoin first and subsequently exchange for XMR.

I'd advise to read this -> https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Buying_Bitcoins_(the_newbie_version)#PayPal
once again thank you

I'm not so entirely sure about paypal itself, but I know that localbitcoins.com is a pretty reliable way to buy bitcoins with.  They have numerous of options that people accept payments for bitcoins (including paypal and other online options), also you might get lucky and find someone close to you that you can pay cash directly.

I was skeptical of localbitcoins at first, but I just got through with my first transaction on there and everything went smoothly... plus everything was escrowed, so there was a bit of a feeling everything was going to go "according to plan" even though I was nervous as hell throughout the whole thing.  Bought some today through cash deposit, and now I'm planning on picking up some cheap moneros Smiley

EDIT: only downfall to buying on local bitcoins is the people on there up the prices than on "normal" exchanges (ESPECIALLY with paypal, they jack up the prices like crazy due to the uncertainty of receiving funds on paypal)... the plus side, is that you don't have to deal with bank transaction times or having to put your bank account through exchange sites.  I find it pretty convenient to say the least.
do you need a seperate wallet for monreo or can you use block chain.info
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: April 11, 2016, 10:43:10 PM
I buy bitcoins now because the moment is good, there is a halving coming and the community is getting bigger everyday.
So the only thing I have to do is waiting and be patient.

Yeah even I have expectations Even you see that in my personal text also. Waiting halving and good price for bitcoin.

I think everyone is waiting for halving , that is why the market reacted and past two days market jumped above $40 and right now it is roaming around $418 coinbase rate. just waiting for $500 price so that i can sell some and make profit.
is there a date for the halving
83  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MOST COMMON MISTAKES OF A NEWBIE on: April 11, 2016, 10:13:14 PM
The most common mistake of a newbie is they think bitcoin is fast way to earn money/profit without real effort.
They tend to try faucet, giveaway, signature campaign, ponzi, HYIP, gambling, altcoin trading, trading, mining, cloud mining or access deepnet.

this was everything i was planning to do lol, guessing it will take time just like everything.

85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Just Too Stupid to Use Bitcoin Right Now on: April 11, 2016, 09:53:27 PM
Stupidity is only one factor... you have to add laziness into that too. The researchers and smart people determined that the average person in most developed countries, have

experienced a shorter attention span. {Some say, 20 minutes at most} This is because of too many external influences and also because people are bombarded by too much

information. {TV / Cellphones / Internet .... } They even adjusted the intervals for advertisements within TV programs to accommodate for that. So people are over stimulated

and this leads to a shorter attention span. If you want to explain Bitcoin to someone, you have to take that into consideration and have short breaks... We are now doing this

in our meetups, with great success. {Beer/smoke Breaks every 20 minutes}  Grin
This is true, this is a generation of people really unwilling to learn anything. But mainly due to the fact that their brain cant handle the stress of all the information it constantly receives.
