.0022498 is the fib that is supporting price. If not, next one is .0017. I think it will hold but is difficult to say for sure

Respect Dotto - you called the dump short term bottom target pretty well.

I wish I had listened and traded it accordingly.

Personally I feel it is the bottom for now, unless of course BTC is where the money is going as Elrippo's scenaro (plausibly) suggests.

But one would hope XMR at least holds up in USD terms even if BTC does pump spectacularly.  And of course that 'where do BTC profits from sales at the top head for?' question is valid; why not into a new Altcoin pump...?

If the market is as playable as it seems to appear, then the big money will not want to sit out of the whole market if it's on a roll.

I like Dotto as much as you  Grin Roll Eyes

This all can be a pretty stunning altcoin bull trap, i hope so, but i stick with my prediction (i have to, else i would be not credible  Wink)

Curious, are you the "real" isildur1?

Anyway, there are a few exchanges available the let you buy XMR. The biggest (and in my opinion the most reliable) is Poloniex -> https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_xmr. This exchange also has the best liquidity. As "second" exchange I could recommend Bittrex -> https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XMR.

If you haven't bought on exchanges before, here is an explanation of amoebatron on how to do it:

If you're looking for an exchange, Poloniex.com has the best liquidity. If you just want to buy some XMR with BTC at close to the market rate, check out shapeshift.io.

I'd generally advise against using Paypal for crypto. Regarding debit card, depends on what part of the world you are in. There is no direct way by the way, but you could buy Bitcoin first and subsequently exchange for XMR.

I'm not so entirely sure about paypal itself, but I know that localbitcoins.com is a pretty reliable way to buy bitcoins with.  They have numerous of options that people accept payments for bitcoins (including paypal and other online options), also you might get lucky and find someone close to you that you can pay cash directly.

I was skeptical of localbitcoins at first, but I just got through with my first transaction on there and everything went smoothly... plus everything was escrowed, so there was a bit of a feeling everything was going to go "according to plan" even though I was nervous as hell throughout the whole thing.  Bought some today through cash deposit, and now I'm planning on picking up some cheap moneros Smiley

EDIT: only downfall to buying on local bitcoins is the people on there up the prices than on "normal" exchanges (ESPECIALLY with paypal, they jack up the prices like crazy due to the uncertainty of receiving funds on paypal)... the plus side, is that you don't have to deal with bank transaction times or having to put your bank account through exchange sites.  I find it pretty convenient to say the least.

Once cannot use a Bitcoin wallet for Monero.  Here are the options for Monero wallets:

https://getmonero.org/getting-started/choose

MyMonero is similar to Blockchain.info.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card

You can do this for Monero only in an experimental mode.

Just curious... I thought there was a way to choose how many pneumonic words you can have on mymonero?  I was going to create a "more secure" wallet with the 25 word pneumonic and I don't see any option for that?  Or is that just for simplewallet?  And if so, how is it possible to make simplewallet compatible with mymonero if there are only 13 words on MM?

Thanks for that link...

In other news... did anyone see someone put up a fake buy wall with like 1100 BTC? Jesus christ!  Shocked  I know people like to "manipulate" some outcomes of alt markets, but that's intense.  Looks like another round of dumping has begun which means cheaper moneros for us  Roll Eyes
