81  Economy / Goods / Re: Juul pods for sale on: September 27, 2019, 03:25:39 PM
1) are these pods legit? (Not black market)

2) are these pods stolen?

3) why the hell is this marked as a potential scam other than if 1 or 2 affirmative?
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sites to Find New Cryptocurrency Launch Announcements? on: September 27, 2019, 03:21:43 PM
This site used to be the front page for these kinds of things and still is for the most part. The issue is wading through all the crap to find the real stuff. My advice would be to sign up for some reputable news sites to get their newsletters. Spend some time on subreddits. If you don't have a personal drive and passion to follow this stuff then coming across a gem in blockchain at this point is going to be tough.

I still miss the days when coinmarketcap had only 6 coins listed....
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the movement for alternative money a response to? on: September 27, 2019, 03:18:15 PM
You pretty much answered your own question. People are finally waking up to central banking policies and the stunts the banking cartels pull. It's still going to take some time for the masses to open their eyes. In the end we dont know how things will come out on the other side.

Just as the fed is in uncharted territory riding on the edge of the seat, as too are cryptocurrencies. The future is yet unknown but exciting.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We need regulation pretty bad on: September 27, 2019, 03:14:55 PM
Regulations will only make progress and adoption more difficult. What we NEED is the free market to shake out all the fakes. This is going to happen asbtime progresses. Yes people will get burned in the process. Crypto is not something to walk in to and throw your life savings at withiut first doing all the research necessary to feel secure in what you're investing it. Don't by brands and charisma. Buy real potential.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are core wallets programmed to freeze??? on: September 27, 2019, 03:03:49 PM
As mentioned above this is probably a hardware based problem on your end. What you're describing is familiar. Used to have the same results when running multiple wallets at once, and I'm talking a lot of different coin wallets.

If you suspect this is somehow coded in to these coins just take a look at the code or have someone else knowledgeable review for you.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remote mining rig through Android phone any suggestion for windows 10? on: September 27, 2019, 02:58:56 PM
Teamviewer is solid and free. Just make sure you aren't using it from an IP other people are because they will suspect you're doing it for commercial use and blacklist your device.

Then you get hit with a time limit on your connections. Other than that it works very well and I've personally used it for years.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - Is there anything better to use? on: September 27, 2019, 12:54:32 PM
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I enjoy mining personally so even if it's at a loss I'll probably continue to do it. The power cost is negligible as opposed to running one of my dormant antminers. They've not been on in months.

Keep on mining  Smiley
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 26, 2019, 10:58:01 PM
There had come many ICOs in 2017 and a good number of STOs in 2018 and many IEOs in 2019 but hardly a few have made it to 'relatively better than others' list.
I wonder why haven't there come potential coins like ether. The only project that looked promising to me this year was bittorrent which was lauched on binance launchpad.
But even that is not going so well these days.

Is the world out of ideas or solutions?

I don't think this is true. You're just not doing the proper research. It's fair to say that 95%+ of current "projects" are vaporware.

If you want to make money on these types of things in a few years then look in to projects with actual viable products. How does this token/coin monetize what it's doing? How can it be adopted? What impact does it have? Is the adoption barrier low or unrealistically high?

Just think, what do you believe real people will actually be using? You can't tokenize every aspect of human life and expect it so succeed. Some things just don't need blockchain.
89  Economy / Goods / Re: I WANT TO BUY 3 PLAYSTATION 4 I WILL PAY WITH BITCOIN on: September 26, 2019, 10:47:45 PM
I have a few used ones I can let go but not going to deal on telegram. Can't you post your price here? I've been looking for a way to get rid of these things  Cheesy
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / NiceHash Miner - Is there anything better to use? on: September 26, 2019, 10:39:20 PM
I've been running the nicehash miner with (2) GTX 970s because that's all I have at this point. Is there a better alternative? The algo switching function is nice. I don't expect to profit much. It's really a trade off of electrical bill vs small amounts of bitcoin daily. Like a really lazy way to spend $0.50 a day investing in BTC.

Running more power efficient algos has been the key to generating anything of value.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a knowledgeable opinion about an ICO project on: April 22, 2019, 09:27:52 PM
My knowledge simply says dont waste your time on this one... just look at it
Really? Hmmmp.

I don't really understand the connection of the app to the coffee flavor. Also upon checking, the design and the choice of words are really something I wouldn't be impressed with.

I have a sort of feelings and emotion with this bounty. If they really wanted to catch people's idea then they must properly choose the right words, the right designs, and the right business name to convince someone like me. I also tried to look at the founders and I can see that they are lack of experiences. Please do not get me wrong but it is my personal opinion.

You make a solid point. If they cant properly convey their message to users they wont end up driving many investors in. It's  about selling it to everyone not just those experienced in the crypto world.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop SCAM in the ICO market on: April 22, 2019, 09:24:04 PM
Theres really no way to stop scams. No matter what people will find a way to steal from others via ICO
if there is a way to eliminate it or it will reduce Scam maybe ICO will be safer and more people want to follow it again.
hopefully in the future there will be a way to stop fraud because in the future there will be increasingly sophisticated technological tools so that fraud no longer exists but may be difficult.
people who are cheated if they are not too enthusiastic maybe they will give up and despair so they don't want to try again.

Transparency is the best option. If you can't verify the people running the ICO are real and not hiding behind stock photos then it's  safe to say don't  invest.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Veil Comparison with renowed Privacy coins on the market! on: April 21, 2019, 09:47:57 PM
This sounds promising. Maybe throw some more resource links in the post for people?

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: deeponion is the best crypto on: April 21, 2019, 09:44:32 PM
Why is this? What makes it the best? Because you essentially get the coins for free?
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW SHOULD A BOUNTY BE........ on: April 21, 2019, 09:43:06 PM
I don't think KYC is necessary unless it's a legal requirement of whatever jurisdiction  the bounty is being run in.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: airdrop problems on: April 21, 2019, 09:42:17 PM
Seems these people may just be after whatever personal data you're willing to submit. Time to use a fake name I guess
