81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] POKERCOIN - POKER-POW/POS-Let's give pokerplayers a coin for the future on: January 23, 2018, 05:58:41 PM
Thank you again all who participated in the voting.
You did an incredible job.
We have reached the required votes within 10 hours!
This is an unbelivable performance.
Thank you for your continued support.

The coin is going to be tradeble within 2-3 weeks.
See you on the moon. Smiley

On the 14th of January you thanked us for a successful vote and said the coin would be listed in two weeks. Why is it still two weeks? It seems like the POK had no issues getting listed right away. What's the problem?

Educate? NASA = Never A Straight Answer. IMO, it's a compartmentalized jobs program. spinoff.nasa.gov? Nice CGI, but a spinoff of what? Nasa is a money pit. Just like all the "cancer foundations" that keep asking for money, but can't seem to find the cure people need. Sure, there are pills that aleve the symptoms, but do they have anything that can fix the DNA after all these years? As for NASA, they "walked" on the moon with 6 perfect manned flights with 1960's and 70's technology, but can't keep the shuttles from blowing up 30+ years later. Even Space X has their problems. Just because it's on TeLIEvision doesn't make it true. NASA even admitted it can't get through the Van Allen Radiation Belt. http://21stcenturywire.com/2015/03/14/video-nasas-orion-engineer-admits-they-cant-get-past-van-allen-radiation-belts/ Yeah, yeah, conspiracy theories. I wonder why the probes they send to "go around the moon" don't have HIGH DEFINITION cameras. Photoshop is cheaper to use, I suppose. Smiley

I see you're a tinfoil hat, conspiracy nutcase now. I thought you were just ignorant before, now I see you're batshit crazy.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 22, 2018, 08:17:01 PM
The problem they had if they just left it in the dollar wallet was when the price fell due to the news, they would have to pay more BCC for the dollars. They probably would have run out of BCC and would have had no incentive to keep the token price up after that. They instead paid everyone at a fixed rate as it was better for the coin's future not to flood the market with too many. Remember these loans weren't meant to be refunded for many months.

After getting $13 million a day in the BitconnectX ICO, I doubt they would have bothered doing something for a couple of million and being easily found out on the blockchain.

This guy is a special kind of idiot.
He can post that they manipulated their market, explains they wouldn't have money to make good on their promise of giving people their USD back and then says they cared about the coin's future (while creating an even more dubious ICO for a 2nd coin - why create a new coin if you care about your old one? Oh that's right, to keep the old scam going longer).

If the guy isn't careful he too may get a subpoena since it seems like he knows a lot about the inner workings of Bitconnect.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: January 22, 2018, 07:10:54 PM
You misunderstand. I'm not talking about Bitconnect. I'm talking about the so called projects govt wastes our hard earned tax dollars on. For example, NASA gets billions of dollars?

While governments do waste a lot of money you made a big mistake picking on NASA as they get a miniscule amount, less than 1% of the US federal budget (currently they receive 0.4% in 2019) and are one of the few agencies which has been found to actually exceed the average in terms of return and efficiency.

What do we get back from all those "space walks"?

Beyond the obvious like weather satellites, GPS, better tools for planning and increasing crop yields there are spinoffs, technology and inventions developed at NASA which had uses outside of it. Since 1976, NASA created 1,400 inventions that later became products or services. These include kidney dialysis machines, CAT scanners and even freeze-dried food.

Educate yourself:

You can start with last year: https://spinoff.nasa.gov/Spinoff2017/pdf/Spinoff2017.pdf
And there are these...
https://spinoff.nasa.gov/Spinoff2016/pdf/Spinoff2016.pdf

https://spinoff.nasa.gov/Spinoff2013/pdf/Spinoff2013.pdf

Spacewalks have been vital to repairing scientific instruments (most notably the Hubble Space Telescope) as well as maintaining the International Space Station.

Beyond that, the purpose of space exploration is to explore. Those spacewalks help us by developing the skills and tools it will take for astronauts to be able to live and repair their living space in a self sufficient way, eventually far from the Earth.

Every dollar spent on NASA adds $10 to the economy. Find me something else the government spends less than 1% on that does that.

For all it does, NASA receives just 0.4 percent of the $4.001 trillion FY 2018 federal budget. Compare that to the Department of Defense. Its budget is $574 billion, or 13 percent of the total. DoD's budget would pay for 30 NASAs.

NASA which only receives $19.1 billion dollars also receives less than these other six departments.

Health and Human Services – $65.3 billion.
    Veterans Administration – $78.8 billion.
    Education – $59 billion.
    Homeland Security – $44.1 billion
Housing and Urban Development – $31.2 billion.
    State Department – $28.2 billion.

So next time, educate yourself before you talk about something you don't know.

Bitconnect was always a scam, a pyramid scheme crossed with a good old-fashioned ponzi. NASA is not a scam.

It seems like that pool takes 26% of the block reward and only pays out 296 (of 400) coins to miners.

I propose for a decentralization of the poker site wherein the coin holders will be given 50% of the poker website income. In this way, there will be buying of the coins.

Coin holders can already stake. Giving any percentage of the site's income would make Pokercoin an unlicensed security which could lead to legal issues.

Damn, the network hashrate is skyrocketing tonight.  I saw it at 54 GH/s a few times.  So much for solo mining.  Guess I should have mined more a few days ago when it was 2 GH/s
It's been going up since the Bit-Z announcement but I guess people are scrambling to mine those last 98,000 blocks.

25 GH/s right now.

Last PoW block: 500,000

We are now less than 100,000 blocks before the end of Proof-of-Work mining. I wonder how that will affect the price when POKER gets added to Bit-Z?

Problem i see right now is the limited number of people hold pokercoin.  Its just not in that many hands yet.  100 wallet addresses hold 95% of all the coins.  How many of those people have more than 1 wallet address.

We need to get it into more exchanges, and maybe improve and promote the poker platform that uses pokercoin.  I wish there would be more blocks available for new comers to mine when they see it in exchanges.  There is like 51-52 days of mining left.  It would be nice to be in 3 or 4 exchanges by now.

I agree wholeheartedly. It looks like Pokercoin is on Coinhouse now so that's a start but getting this coin listed on HitBTC, Cryptopia and other exchanges beyond Bit-Z should become a priority.

People who dumped will regret it when the coin will reach 15 - 20$ in 1 or 2 month Smiley

and why do you suppose that this coin so will fly to the top, fivefold?
are there any prerequisites?
I'm thinking of buying  of them

Scarcity due to lending.

I recommend that the developer trademark the name "Pokercoin" so that there is no confusion in the market.

There is no experience of the game can play it, you need free games to attract more players, the more players the more successful the community

They have freerolls.

Thanks for alerting us.

They clearly are trying to take advantage a successful crypto poker platform. Take it as a form of flatery (like all those coins which try to mimic Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash by having similar names).

It might make sense for you to buy other poker name URLs to prevent this in the future.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The most profitable altcoin to mine on CPU on: January 17, 2018, 11:16:10 AM
Please use the search function, there are literally tons of threads on this topic.

Why not be a peach and do the search for him and post the links to any useful thread discussion here?
I understand you complain about shit post, but you is shitposting anyway with that reply.

Sure. Hey, why don't I do his mining for him as well? It's not like it takes much to do a search, that's what it's there for. Wink

Yes I agree, very easy to search. But very hard to find useful links to old GOOD discussions. Proof = If it were that easy you would have posted the links already. Stop being a machher jhol!

Everyone knows the search on this forum is fish poop. With everyone asking the same questions dozens of times and sig farmers buffing up the posts with rumble mumble shcakttlebut things; its not easy or efficient to go searching for old topics.

And plisss do not compare mining with searching. Searching here is harder than solving mining block. And pays nothing. Oh apart from the insurmountable shit knowledge someone might gain.

Nexus (NXS).

Most people here won't tell you about it but it's very profitable at the moment.

I never understood people like RoboPoke who just troll and FUD good projects. Oh well like the dev said, he seemed to enjoy the freerolls so I'd take that as a sign of support! Grin

was surfing r/Bitconnect to see the shitstorm when suddenly everything gets set to private/invite only.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitconnect/

That is incredibly poor form. By doing that, those moderators could be seen as protecting Bitconnect which might make them complicit in a crime. Reddit probably will have something to say about it too. Hope they have good attorneys.

Do you think DavorCoin are happy about it  Tongue :

Dear Davor community,
You must have heard that Bitconnect is stopping both his lending program and his exchange platform.
This does not change anything for us except that now Davor is the number one lending platform in the world !!
We are now the new standard and we thank you all for having joined us since the beginning or since very recently.
Many people are going to join us in the following days which means the price will increase and all of you already in the game with us will benefit from it.
We will keep offering you the best interest rates in the market and our tech team will keep working hard to make our system safe for you.
We can tell you now that we have faced 2 days ago the same attack on our system as Bitconnect received. They have been shut down almost 2 days and did not really came through it while our tech team did find the solution within 2 hours. This is only to show you that we are strong and prepared to be the new standard in the industry.
We're going to the moon, are you ready ?

 Cheesy

"They have been shut down almost 2 days and did not really came through it while our tech team did find the solution within 2 hours."

All of that money and they can't even afford the free Grammarly account? One thing all these scams have in common is poor grammar or spelling.
