81  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I accumulate bitcoin as a newbie? on: May 13, 2023, 11:01:20 PM

Finally, should I do it now that the price is not stable or I should wait a little in case it goes down again?  We are all here to learn.

We all wish we have a crystal ball so we'll know when is the floor price, but even experts are caught by surprise on the right time to buy and the floor price, it's something within our grasp, and we can only speculate.
In my case, I just buy when the price is dipping, and if it dips further and I have available funds I still buy I don't worry about when the price still drops after I made my purchase knowing that I will eventually make a profit when the market shifts to a bull.
82  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: --WARNING--BlaBla Game (BLA) is a scam ICO! on: May 13, 2023, 12:51:09 PM
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, there are still those who are attracted to airdrops and bounties without paying attention to warnings and red flags.
I'll be always wary to join on such thing especially for red flags, it might be an obvious free money bur your security and privacy should be prioritized. So using only an special email, browser for this, but i knew kyc is sometimes required to be able to withdraw some coins from airdrop which is BS for me.

Glad to see your message here. Our job is to tell the facts fairly about ICOs and projects. Stay tuned with us for new reviews

Who will trust your reviews if there are reports that you are extorting projects who rejected your $1000 offer to get on your list, until now you have not addressed the accusation on your platform and you choose to ignore it
AntiDolos extortion/scam.

Until you address this issue I don't think your reviews are worth trusting, we don't know if the project you're accusing is a real scam or because they rejected your offer.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another betting fraud in Brazil - part 2 on: May 12, 2023, 03:05:43 PM

It will be very difficult to fight the "cartels" involved in match fixing. Unfortunately, this is not just a Brazilian problem, it is a global problem from Asia to Europe to South America it is rampant. There may even be international rings involved in this. For example despite gambling being illegal in India, there are still reported cases of match fixing that occurs in cricket. A great solution to this is that sports budget should be increased so that players in smaller leagues would get better renumeration.

I agree every country has its own gambling lords and organized mafias to control gambling betting through game fixing, these mafias have contacts and money to lure top players and even officials to connive and fix the matches, this betting fraud in Brazil game fixing has their version in many countries, they are not yet exposed but it really is happening, many sports commissions are aware of game fixing but the mafias have control on some media for it not to leak.
Every country has its own watchdog but sometimes the watchdogs are on the payroll of these mafias.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sending bank statement for verification on: May 11, 2023, 11:51:43 PM
i registered at an online casino and my deposit was not arrived(in casiono) and i contact to their support and they said you need to wait for 10 business days for your refund.

10days are completed and i still didn't received my refund, and they told that "if you don't receive your refund in 10 days then you can contact us with your bank statement"

my question is, is it safe to share bank account statement for verification purposes?  the site is reputable, but in bank statement all my information are available. is it safe to share?

When you say reputable then you can trust them, but a bank statement is something that is very personal in fact you need a court order if anyone wants to have a peek at your bank statement, you may want to ask them for other options that can prove your identity like a passport, and if it's a Cryptocurrency transaction we can all see the transaction and its very visible on the block explorer unless you deposit with fiat,
You have to clarify this.
85  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Chipmixer, blender.io fake mixer is still active on the internet. Avoid google🔎 on: May 10, 2023, 10:54:49 PM
I saw Sinbad mixer getting many fake website recently but I dont get it why scammers are wasting time creating cloned versions of dead websites.
Everyone who is active in crypto space surely must know that chipmixer is shut down and seized by authorities, but maybe some people are still falling for scams like this.

These clones sites from mixers that are out of business are still profitable for scammers they are targetting not only new users but those who are not aware of the status of the real mixing sites or who thought that they are back in business, if they can make their site end on a top of search engine they can victimize people, many people still trust the search engine results to give them the best sites to use.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: May 07, 2023, 11:07:01 PM
Crypto is a digital currency that comprises different coins. It's important that we understand how this coin works and which to invest in. How do we identify the best coin and the period to invest in these types of coins?
We have a market aggregator to see how particular coins perform in the market, you can check the platform if it has usage or utility, so far Bitcoin is the only parameter if a coin or token is worth investing in or not, if we are asking how to identify coins worth investing we should also educate ourselves on what coins to avoid and these are coins coming from shills and hype.

Identifying good and bad coins to invest in is very important you should have these two pieces of knowledge if you don't want to get tied up to a bad portfolio.
87  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the do's and dont's of signature on: May 07, 2023, 10:37:49 PM
Good day honorable members of this prestigious forum, please I need enlightenment on the use of signature, the do's and don't. This is to avoid going against the rule. And I also want you to share any experience and encounters you have witnessed while using signature. I will appreciate your calm response.  🙏

The most important is to check the rules laid out by the campaign managers, the campaign manager is the one picking where you should post and what to avoid and what's the limit of posts daily, but on top of this if you're going to participate in a signature campaign you must protect yourself from getting negative feedbacks coming from DT's, this will restrict or stopped you from participating on signature campaigns because the majority of campaign managers do not accept negative feedbacks coming from DTs.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm getting tired of the high fees for gwei on: May 07, 2023, 09:38:05 PM
The high fees of gwei in Ethereum transactions are due to the supply and demand dynamics of the network. When the network is congested, users need to pay higher fees to prioritize their transactions. The popularity of DeFi and NFTs has increased demand for Ethereum transactions, leading to higher fees.

If possible and there's another alternative I don't want to use Ethereum right now, the fee is quite high if you need to transact right away you will be disappointed that you did transact, you could wait but sometimes waiting could take 48 hours before you see gas fees going down and sometimes it might even go up, right now not only Ethereum, there's also congestion on Bitcoin my friend's transaction took 5 hours for one confirmation.

People should have an alternative whenever there's a surge of transactions or they will stick with the choice of proceeding with the transaction even if they are going to lose a lot.
89  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is it scam or not.. Roobet transaction on: May 07, 2023, 09:13:36 PM
It's not even exist on block chain.

I never heard of sochain
I also never heard of it but its also a Bitcoin block explorer, it's surprising that it's not showing on mempool and blockchain.

I can confirm that there's network congestion right now one of my friends took 7 hours before his transaction got one confirmation.

Also its my deposit amount and made WITHDRAWAL

Ididnt win any there
What do you mean it's your deposit and you made a withdrawal do you mean that you did not wage or play on Roobet this is a violation of the casino's wagering requirement, when you deposit you have to play and wage and you can only withdraw based on their wagering requirement.

90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: May 07, 2023, 03:21:02 PM
Sometimes cherry-picked fighters turn out to be tougher than top fighters and Ryder is one example of this fighter, Canelo has been knocking out champions and top contenders but he cannot knock Ryder out even in front of his fellowman.
He puts out a big fight better than Plant or Smith,  Canelo is still good but Ryder has a tough stance and Canelo doesn't want to be a victim of upset in front of his home crowd so he is also cautious on his offense.
91  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it time for Old Signature campaigns to redesign? on: May 07, 2023, 02:57:37 PM
This is a case-to-case basis not because other campaigns are changing their signature they will change their signature banner, a lot of campaigns never change their signature design every year because it takes time to establish the brand of the project through a signature campaign unless there's a new management or they will be adding more features that they want to be promoted on their signature.
So far all the longest-running campaigns here only a few change their design because they have compelling reasons to change the design.

92  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there boards or threads that a newbie is not supposed to post in? on: May 07, 2023, 02:37:12 PM
Hello everyone.... I've seen handful of boards and threads that I can make reasonable contributions to by sharing my knowledge about some of the topics that are being discussed in these boards and threads but as a newbie, I don't wanna make unnecessary mistakes and that brings me to the question of "Are there boards and threads I'm not supposed to post in as a newbie"?

Don't post on the lending section and ask for loans so many newbies are doing this and getting bad feedback so avoid this section only do so when you reach a higher rank and you establish a good reputation here in Bitocintalk, and another is boards or sections that you have no knowledge of, many newbies are busted because they are posting topics that are out of range.
93  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: May 06, 2023, 03:24:31 PM

I only noticed this quirk rules starting to enforce by some campaign manager.

Some members are not aware of this rule and some are taken by surprise when they are removed without warning although managers do not have to issue warnings because when you joined you know the rules when you joined the campaign, but is still better to have a comment on the spreadsheet so you can gauge yourself on your standing on the campaign.
I know one manager who does this, he may be strict but he is fair when he imposes his rules
94  Economy / Reputation / Re: Warning about the Novus Chain project/bounties on: May 06, 2023, 12:45:07 PM
I advise bounty hunters to stop working until they get guarantees first because I don't see that things will be okay in the end.
I don't think any bounty hunter would obey such instructions.  Bounty hunters have grown so much that now anyone who sets up a boundary thread has no shortage of campaign participants. But no bounty hunter notices the fact that they are working on a manager's project and what kind of directions are given on the project's website, but these things should be known before working. When they work without knowing all these things but when they don't get payment after work they abuse in Telegram group of different projects.  But it will be good for them if they know the project well before working on any bounty project without giving bad comments.

We can compare bounty hunting to gambling there is no guarantee anymore even if the project looks legit there's a possibility of the bounty manager or the project developers denying payment to bounty hunters, and if the project failed to reach the soft-cap and stopped the development of the project they will not pay bounty hunters.\

Bounty hunters do not know what a legit or real project is anymore they just join and submit reports and hope that the project will turn out to be be good and profitable and they will receive their share of the bounty.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There are many advantages to the relationship between gambling and Bitcoin. on: May 04, 2023, 11:04:28 PM

Can you tell us another advantage of opening an account in a Bitcoin Sportsbook?

I think the biggest reason is the community and the huge numbers of investors who are also sports bettors, these people already discarded fiat and made Bitcoin their main currency of usage online, so you create a platform that accepts Cryptocurrency and you have targeted a big community.
All platforms are created to target specific communities and the Bitcoin community is so huge that it guarantees success, especially in gambling platforms.

97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: May 04, 2023, 02:45:02 PM
Nothing can beat gambling as an industry, in fact, gambling can sustain one's country's needs and is the biggest draw for tourists some examples of this are Macao and the state of Las Vegas which is only for offline casinos, Online casinos can triple the profit of what the offline casinos are making because their clients are not just tourist but people where they have access on their platform and where their providers allow them to play.
For an industry to still kick profit even in times of pandemic could only mean that it will and can survive in every situation of course with the exception of World War.
98  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AntiDolos extortion/scam on: May 03, 2023, 11:13:39 PM
Well you can see the screenshot from Telegram, in which he asks for money to provide an 8+ review instead of 6.4 or whatever.
Yeah I see it, but that doesn't look like a threat or extortion scam to me.
We all know how most rating websites work, you pay more and you get higher rankings, nothing new about that.

Yes, but when OP declined or ignore the offer they published negative reviews of the project, will they publish that review if the project did get their service, they have a lot of projects that they've reviewed did they do the same, offering their service and when they declined they publish bad feedbacks.
They have a lot of explaining to do, or people will doubt their reviews if it's coming from extortion or if these projects really believe in their service.
99  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What will a mixer do under the mentioned situation? on: May 02, 2023, 11:43:10 AM

1. Do mixers know where they're getting a deposit from?
2. If yes, will they co-operate here with the officials and let them know about the deposit?
3. If they do, how will they stop the scammer from moving his funds out of their mixer?

There is a lot of mixing companies now but I doubt they will have the same answers to these questions, soI will just speculate because all the answers given here are not officially coming from the mixers team

Quote
1. Do mixers know where they're getting a deposit from?
There are mixers where the mixing is all automated and there are mixers where they can trace the addresses before they get into the pool

Quote
2. If yes, will they co-operate here with the officials and let them know about the deposit?
They serve their clients and they are not regulated to have an obligation to any entities or authorities because there is none on their TOS that says what kind of funds or clients will their mixers accept, this is not an exchange where clients are subject for verification

Quote
3. If they do, how will they stop the scammer from moving his funds out of their mixer?
They may or they may not it will depend on how they will address this issue when they are called up and prosecuted.
