Seems like ROI is about the same as a GPU, but the savings in power after ROI make up for it. But then you are locked into the algorithms they release unlike GPUs.
It's a tough sell to me without a higher returning algorithm at the start.

Because there's no such thing as cryptonight v7! It's cryptonight v1 on monero v7. Let's get the community corrected on that point. Anyone can release algorithms for these boards, not just us. There are several people doing it, and some have already posted public code. In the discord there's a dozen or so devs who are making bitstreams  It's not too scandaleous to name it Cryptonight v7 You just named cryptonight v1 where it should be Cryptonight Cupid Shuffle  This like people saying it's not a hoover, it's a vacuum cleaner. As long as we know what we are talking about I dont think it's an issue Whattomine calls it Cryptonight v7. Can you just confirm this FPGA will mine monero now at around 14k hashes a second with the needed Bitstream provided on delivery? I dont want an algo that a x3 does at 220k+ |

Do you know where i can find firmware for Innosilicon a8+ to make him dual mining for cryptonight-light also? Who know about diffenses INNO a8+ and that Baikal? I think inside they are same... May be somebody try to update a8+ with baikal frimware? I want cryptonight-light double speed for my pumkin))
A8+ is just another asic, it cant be updated to a new algo like cryptonight-light, only baikals can do cryptonight-light |

After the baikal n pricing and release fiasco ( n, n+, n70 n240 etc) and their algo's being taken over by other manufacturers with far more powerful miners (blakes) , and the threat of fgpa on the horizon and even currently taking over baikals algos and future ones, baikal has really lost its appeal.

I was thinking about ordering some miners from Baikal. Since I have a company I want to order by bank transfer with USD since it seem little less risky than playing with crypto but every mail that they send me is getting worse and worse. these are the terms they send me
Kindly note:
1.we will have to receive exact amount with contract on our bank account, please bear all bank transaction fee by your side.
2. From now on, Within 2 business days you have to send payment proof back to us. Or order will be automatically cancelled.
3. From now on, Within 5 business days we have to receive your payment in our Bank account, or order will be automatically cancelled.

If I understand them correctly if I send them the money and they don't receive it in 5 days I will lose the money and get nothing in return. All seems too risky to me.

Can someone who has been there, done that, please tell me; What's the best way to expedite a shipment from Bitmain (etc) through Australian customs. Specifically, which customs brokers have you found to be the quickest with reasonable fees? I have selected Fedex as the courier. Fees are basically the same for each, 10% tax on rrp, + admin / handling, ridiculous.. |

That was very painful to watch others gathering 2000+ bytoms just in one week when i just can't get 200 bytoms for 2 weeks now. Hope you best guys who has B3 and are in same position as i am. What a scam was that from Bitmain. Hate that kind of treatment the batch 2 was realesed very soon and my antminer was delivered way too late, even batch 2 was delivered sooner than my antminer from Batch 1.
If i remember right you have been the one having shipping problems/custom problems, so why blame Bitmain as a scam? They shipped it in time, that it couldn't get delivered to you for who knows what problems on your end doesn't make Bitmain a scam.... I'am sorry for you that it you get the miner last, me too by the way, but that's the risk we take.... Yes it was me but besides my shipping/custom problems bitmain has shipped my miner way too late. The scam was the batch 2, they just released batch 2 for about 800$ cheaper so doesn't this action make them scam? The risk would had been justified if they wouldn't have released the second batch so soon. It makes 13 BTM today 13 whilst in first two weeks it was mining about 300 Bytoms per day so calculate the loss you and i faced and this is not the risk that we took, this is bullshitting (sorry for that). We've been robbed. And anyway it was my opinion so you can say whatever you want i respect others opinions too, but for me it was disrespectful from bitmain because of the shipping delay (if it was sent on time it would be delivered way too earlier than actual delivery) and BATCH 2 )) Bitmain has offered a refund of 586 to first batch buyers, they will pay this in bch within 6 weeks |

Maybe??? It should, it resets it to factory original settings, the new firmware is awesome, just tune it to performance. This miner will be obsolete before the chips start to fail, unless your mining room is ridiculously consistently hot. Anything below 80 is fine. |

True, but on the plus side I am approaching 2.4 TH/s average reported by the pool, over 20 odd hrs run time.
I got this hashrate before updating the firmware too. But now I have heavily fluctuating hashrates with higher power consume, more heat with shorten the lifetime of the hashboard. THIS IS A BAD FIRMWARE UPDATE. HOW CAN I ROLL-BACK THIS ONE:  Maybe the reset button reverts back to original firmware |

Ok, so who else is a little pissed off at Bitevil for offering now Batch 3... all 3 batches with the exact same ship date as Batch 1? What kind of nonsense is this out of Bitmain?
They even going to try and pretend they are looking out for customers? You know, like offer a batch, there is a delay in time, before the next batch is supposed to be shipped... and so forth... What a CROCK!
Any anyone who is buying these just keep that in mind, they are dog piling more and more miners out the door after yours is paid at a higher price with the exact same ship dates... You paid a premium for your batch and each subsequent batches the price decreases.... but we are all are going to get them the same time you will get yours.... Let that soak in for a few... You might as well wait for Batch 77, the price will be $200 and it will still ship the same date...
Except this is NOT what happened with the E3 First batch was - $800 Second bath was $2150 or was it $2050 from memory Batch 3 - $1876 Yes same shipping date so thats a bit shit. Its all the same batch prob, it never sold out, they just change the price, each "batch" is just a small part of the physical batch they intended to sell. Wrong! Do a little research, (this thread) there will be several coins to mine when and IF etn forks. No more of the $200+ a day coins, but coins none the less, and More than the GPU's can earn. Sorry, but Marvell2 is most likely going to be proven right. Ignoring the tiniest of altcoins, those that still run stock CN or CN-Lite and their current network hashrate are: Electroneum ETN 1900MH/s Dero DERO 500MH/s ByteCoin BCN 170MH/s Aeon AEON 112MH/s Karbo KRB 62MH/s Bitsum BSM 16.4MH/s LeviarCoin XLC 7.5MH/s DinastyCoin DCY 6.5MH/s Ultranote XUN 2.7MH/s BalkanCoin BKC 2.3MH/s BitCoal COAL 1.4MH/s CrepCoin CREP 0.1MH/s If all the hashrate for ETN gets divided among the remaining coins in the same ratio then 56.7% of the 1900MH/s will go to DERO, 19.3% will go to BCN, 12.7% will go to AEON, etc... That's around 1100MH/s going to DERO, which will basically triple its network hashrate and cause profitability to fall by the same ratio; instead of earning ~8.5 DERO per day (worth $22US) that will drop to around 2.8 DERO/day (worth about $7.35US). Just for comparison, my 1.9kH/s rig used to bring in 6 DERO/day just before ASICs started showing up in force and it cost me all of $775 to build. It currently earns about $2.4US/day mining XMR, or about what the X3 will do on DERO once ETN forks. Oh, and DERO is going to be forking in a couple of weeks, too, when the Atlantis update rolls out. Good times. Wrong, neither you nor the masked marvel have a clue where miners will be going, when and if their coins fork. Most FUD and disgruntled GPU suckers posting it. Aeon forks on 3rd june, that will push baikals onto cn from cnlite. I wanted to pick up a cn miner at bargain prices, but i dont think it will be worth it 2 weeks from now. Its not just the coins it will be the lack of trading volume in those coins. |

I flashed my D9 today with the new firmware and one hash board seems to have stopped working. And I cannot flash back to the old firmware either. Please help
Unplug power then try booting again. If board does not still work Press reset on front of machine until red light or beep sounds |
