I get about 330mh/s. What pool should I join? Or should I just solo mine.

Idk about reaper, but I can get 350k/h with my 7850 with cgminer. Maybe you should try using that.

OS really doesn't matter that much for mining. Just use whatever you are most familiar with. I would recommend windows or a Linux distro because those have most of the mining software first.
Many Linux distros are considered to be more stable, but I would think that the gpu drivers are way more likely to crash than the OS when mining.

I'm onboard, at least until p2pool is working.

I ended up selling it, the price is pretty high now and with the instability I don't see how it will last. I will just keep BTC right now and maybe consider getting back into TRC once all these problems go away.
Ah, but the speculative profit potential is linked to the inherent risk, no? Too much risk for me.

Sounds like a good idea, but honestly I would rather just have p2pool.

with current net hashrate, it will take quite some time to get to next big diff adjustment & get a usable coin back (18 blocks remaining?) It took about 12hrs for my transaction to go through, but it did go through. Same for me, tried to get them to BTC-E and after 12 hours finally it's confirmed. And after the price drops about 25% . Still made a handsome profit though.

I've been stuck on 1 confirmation for hours.

18000 shares? Are you sure?
I only get a share about ever 1.5 hours. The share count in your miner isn't accurate, you have to look at the p2pool window.

I want to add another gpu in with my 7850, but unfortunately I only have one PCI x16 slot. I want to stick it on one of my many open PCI 1x slots, but after a lot of surfing around I'm still not 100% on how to do it. I understand that I may have to short pins but actually fitting it in the PCI 1x slot is confusing me. Can I just stick it in there if the card will fit? Do I need a powered riser? Unpowered? Can someone with some more experience explain what I NEED and what is just extra stuff.

Anyone having any luck solo mining with about 300mhash? I'm mining in a pool now but kinda want to switch.
At that speed you will see some coins faster in a pool than in solo, i recommend this one: http://pool.bytecoin.in/Good luck! I've been using that one. Thanks!

Just worked through this exact same issue, but with reaper. What got me mining at ~350 KH/s was changing the gpu_thread_concurrency to 15000. More or less copied settings for the 7870, and it worked. There is no where I could find that had the 7860 settings filled in in a guide. You can probably get more KH/s by working with the concurrency. Solution was found in tacotime's post at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117221.msg1256502#msg1256502. Can you post the rest of your settings? I'm only getting around 280 KH/s on my 7850.

Bitcoins, I'm still not sold on ASIC.

I've used coinotron and it's good, but I prefer p2pool.
