Was wondering what you guys thought about some of the litecoin pools and what you recommend as the best.

I used to use http://ltc.kattare.com/ but they were getting DDoS'd, or that's what I assume it was when they went down and I couldn't mine, and now I use https://lc.ozcoin.net/ OzCoin pays like PPLNS but a slightly different formula that I don't totally understand but seems to pay pretty well so far.

I would like a LiteCoin pool I can just load up an run on any computer including ones with firewall and stuff.

I used ltc.kattare.com too. But they got DDOS, and now I cant connect anymore for some reason. I guess I'll just try another pool. p2pool maybe.

I'm on coinotron, which I can connect to quite easily, but I haven't been able to withdraw my LTC from there today , which worries me a bit..

I use litecoinpool.org and coinotron.com as a backup.
Research p2pool. That is a very good solution also as majority of pools are under constant DDoS attacks.

notroll.in is the best, low free and low limit to withdraw.

I've used coinotron and it's good, but I prefer p2pool.

litecoinpool.org is pretty cool. ddos is just been done on all of them, nothing you can really do IMO.

The failover option of cgminer is nice, add a few pools with your preferred payout scheme in case of downtime.
I have been using give-me-ltc and notroll.in as preferred pools.

p2pool. Switched two days ago and seeing mining rewards flow in with no disconnects/failovers is fantastic. Now all I have to worry about is my fiber connection.

I'll throw in another vote for p2pool, it works like a charm. I just set up my own p2pool, feel free to give it a spin if you want to get a feel for how it works (or keep using it for that matter). Keep in mind that you'll have to keep mining for 24-36 hours to get your fair share, so don't get discouraged by low payouts at first.

Confirmation of the initial low-payout worries. If you've never mined on PPLNS pools, it can be a bit nerve-wracking at first (as little to no payments are received).

Been using coinotron, no big issues. The site itself yesterday wasn't accessible for a little bit but nothing bad since.

notroll.in has a very good DDoS protection, so it stays up most of the time.
personally, I like litecoinpool.org
