What on Earth should happen to get merits? This new system... ah! Well may be not really new, but still. I would even buy if it were legal  Sad
P.S. yeah, I know - smart useful posts, but there should be better/quicker way.
It is hard to get merits especially now that is being used as a determinant for quality posts. It is very important you started posts those comments that help people and in return, you will get merits from those that see your comments helpful.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who Else is Expecting the Ultimate Rise of Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2019, 07:25:56 PM
For now, you can buy Bitcoin at any price and the only way to becoming wealthy is to hold for the long term. Time is coming maybe the next two to three years when you will see Bitcoin above $100,000. We have seen much discussion about Bitcoin now all over the Internet and media's houses are running documentary about bitcoin now than before and all this is going to be transmitted into good price some years from now.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Would you Like to See in a New Casino Site on: August 24, 2019, 06:38:41 PM

Deposits, Bets and Withdrawals: I like instant deposit, doesn't matter if withdrawal is automatic as long as it is honored in a timely manner.

Instant withdrawal also matter to some gamblers because when someone who huge rewards they would like to cashout and enjoy it but if there is a waiting time for the withdrawal to get processed then it will piss me off who don't have any patience at these kind of situation.
I am most concerned about withdrawal with limited terms and conditions. I play gambling sometime ago and when i wanted to withdraw i was told that i have to provide address verifications and i have to send my bank statement as that is the only way i can get my money.
84  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Real Blockchain Voting / Real Universal Basic Income on: August 24, 2019, 03:54:22 PM
Don`t you think it is about time we all vote, instead of voting people to vote for us?

https://twitter.com/BitswiftC/status/1163451536216920064
The rewards is bigger than the fee, for being a active voter.

Get rewarded for your voice and actually have a say on matters.

Soon this tech will be used in elections to insure that no false bodies are voting.

Blockchain will absolutely help in reduce fraud and manipulation we do experience across the world. The Almighty USA was rubb with the dirty images of accusations of the electoral manipulation and all over the world we are having the story of rigging and changing elections result because the current system we are using is not transparent.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: August 24, 2019, 02:48:32 PM
Only once, it was few years ago when Obama was still the president I remember Trump and Hillary are the only ones who had the most favored odds. I chose trump over Hillary because of some youtube videos about which of them are the lesser evil.

I never bet on Politics. Voting for these politicians alone is already a gamble so I do not see the reason why I should still put some money on them. There are already many things to gamble on and adding Politics is just silly.
It depends on the event, sometimes they are predictable if you follow politics. When directbet was still up wetsuit had a huge bet on trump to be the next president.

I agree with you @Alle14, politic or political events are highly predictable though i have never gamble on any political event. With campaign leading to an election we can easily predict who is going to win unlike dice, binary option and lottery that are highly unpredictable.
86  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or LTC ? on: August 24, 2019, 11:21:43 AM
I will still choose Litecoin. But a better strategy is to buy Bitcoin now, wait for it to raise prices and alts to lower prices, then trade to earn more LTC.
Because alts' seasons will come soon, we need to be more patient. When the hype has reached its limit, it will explode and spread to the surrounding coins. Wink

I would really choose Bitcoin over Litecoin right now.

Bitcoin is making good movements in the past months and I don't think that it would be spoiled this month, maybe it will continue on making a good rise in the upcoming months. Litecoin in the other hand is still on that side where it is not making good movements but having a quite stable price change. If you want to risk your money, I will go with Bitcoin.
Op heading mislead some response that many has given here! I think he is asked of bitcoin cash, litecoin and ethereum, the best one to hedge against usdt. He is thinking according to my on judgment that "bitcoin has gone to far and as such there is no much profits in hedging or trading it against usdt but you can still trade bitcoin cash or litecoin against and makes good profits". I will prefer to trading litecoin/usdt than with bitcoin cash!...
87  Economy / Marketplace / Re: According to CMC, in 2019 crypto cap has tripled, and daily volumes passed $70B. on: August 24, 2019, 08:54:13 AM
I think I've heard people mention it here on the forums before, that the volume has been on some exchanges, greatly exaggerated, one of the many reasons why I believe there hasn't been an official Bitcoincoin ETF yet, due to the market manipulation. It seems like things are slowly improving over time, it's going to be slow but if you look at how far the scene has come up to this point, I'd say it's we're making some progress.
The market manipulation is real and that is the reason why online and offline businesses cannot use it as a mode of payment for their goods and services for now but that did not mean we are not using it as a store of value.  However, I strongly recommend that the manipulation should continue for sometimes because bitcoin is popular now because of how the volume keeps increasing daily.

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB Inches Away From a Weekly Break-Out on: August 23, 2019, 08:48:31 PM
I cannot understand why Binance should break through without any news that would support your technical analysis. As far as I know, crypto currencies can be hard manipulated by large volumes and mostly news are effecting the price.
Manipulation is very common in the crypto currency market and we hardly see any serious breakout without something like news happen. It is hard to make predict some coins through technical indicators because of how this market behaved. Sometimes the whales take advantage of the technical setting and create one fud or another in other to create a reason for the breakout.
90  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why aren't there many women in the crypto space? on: August 23, 2019, 06:31:14 PM
Woman like to spend their money on things that are less risky and very few take risk on a system that is not approved by governments. They always see anything that is not from government or that governments speak ill-of as bad and few has ever tried to see good in blockchain or bitcoin in particular. I discuss investment in crypto currency with a lady in my office and she said "she can not invest into something she cannot touch except education"!
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Projects Paying Out in Bitcoin or Ethereum Instead of Bounty Native Token on: August 23, 2019, 10:08:26 AM
You can participate in these campaigns, but these campaigns are for reputable and skilled users. Like DT members, moderators and people that are respected in the community, they deceive to be paid in real cryptocurrencies.
No, such bounty are not for deceiving or mainly for reputable members of the forum. The last time I checked anyone who's a good posted can participate in the bounty that pay in Ethereum or bitcoin and I think the reason behind this switch of payment was because some project owner believe bounty hunters are behind the down in price of most new project.
I do agree with you and bounties are sometime seems as the reason why some tokens get dumped after listed. I have seen tokens like ENK and four pillar get dumped just by the bounty hunters and uptill now those projects could not recovered.
Paying bounty in ethereum or bitcoin will reduce dumping of those new projects that cannot withstand the pressure from dumpers.
92  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️ SportBet.one - decentralized sports-betting platform ⚽️ on: August 23, 2019, 08:28:46 AM
A decentralized e-sport betting is a good one and I don't know how it will work as it seems from the site that you are still in control. I will like to ask the plan you have concerning marketing because it is new ideas and many people did not know about your decentralized betting platform!
93  Other / Off-topic / Re: After failure, what should we do? on: August 23, 2019, 07:14:27 AM
Although my business failed, it was a big loss for me and moreover my family.
Finally, I decided to stay home for a year to keep my mind relaxed and then I started my business again, while I was at home I would learn about the potential of the electronic money market. This is also my concern since I started business.
AND
The most important thing for me is that my wife did not leave me while I failed, while my wife always had advice and encouragement for me to pass and redo.
I feel very lucky for that.

You wife should be a very good woman and it is a great gift from God to you. Any woman that remains with you during difficult time is an angel and blessings to you.
I will like to say that we are having great time in cryptocurrencies market and you can bounce back and make good life and success in your life again. Don't think it is the end and you should look at the failure as a learning process and the last step to your success.
94  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WW3 About to start HK/China/U.N on: August 23, 2019, 06:46:24 AM
So this Hong Kong protest is getting nuts

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INxOnPCTYJg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikje2lPM5Tg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQfj1Sr1e_8 China warns Hong Kong protesters not to 'play with fire' - BBC News

China is going to put a end to it real quick.

Will the U.N interfere? as some "humanitarian thing"

If they do, expect WW3.
If china decide to treat protesters as a common criminal then un will not fold her hands for china to have her ways. Definitely,  un and America government will intervene and at that it might lead to war. Something is in the air and that thing may happen soon because of the hate that is been propagate daily on the internet and other means of communication.

Anymore haters i have to deal here with? Come now cos later iam in full gear and taking care of my real followers.
Haters? People may only be careful because of dealing with people you are not seen. I think you are genuine because it is hard to remain relevant for long term like this with stipter. Did you have any other means of communication outside bitcointalk here especially telegram.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Humans Gamble since 3000BC, and Governments still try to ban on: August 23, 2019, 05:46:08 AM
I don't understand exactly why some governments ban gambling. Is it like a babysitter government, trying to protect citizens from themselves? Or are they worried about something else?
As gambling is highly profitable, government could make a lot of money by taxing those companies.

Here is a list I found with 10 countries where gambling is completely illegal.

United Arab Emirates
Brunei
Cambodia
North Korea
Japan
Singapura
Cyprus
Qatar
Lebanon
Poland
source:https://www.lawyer-monthly.com/2018/02/10-countries-where-gambling-is-completely-illegal/

The problem I see is that gambling is something humans always did. It is something in the human nature. We always ignore probability and think "I will be luck now, just once, and I will make money here" or something like that.

I looked at wikipedia, people gamble since 3000BC!

Quote
Gambling dates back to the Paleolithic period, before written history. In Mesopotamia the earliest six-sided dice date to about 3000 BC. However, they were based on astragali dating back thousands of years earlier. In China, gambling houses were widespread in the first millennium BC, and betting on fighting animals was common. Lotto games and dominoes (precursors of Pai Gow) appeared in China as early as the 10th century.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling

If government ban gambling, people will gamble illegally. Just like prohibiting drugs, people will still use drugs illegally,
The list of the countries you have provided and playing of gambling is illegal in those countries is a surprise to me and I thought Japan and Cyprus are safe for gambling! The government is not safing the citizens from taking risk but because there is no flamework in the tax’s laws on gambling and they have to tag gambling as evil in other to be able to make it illegal !

98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two Thieves Caught on Tape Stealing Bitcoin ATM in the US on: August 22, 2019, 07:31:18 PM
This is not new and we have having thieves stealing ATM machine all over the world including the ATM that contains dollars and other currencies. If you checked online you will find many story like : https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/atm-thieves-make-off-with-machine-in-brazen-theft-caught-on-video-513173631.html%3famp=y and this is all about ATM stealing. 99  Other / Off-topic / Re: "Are you happy"? on: August 22, 2019, 06:43:50 PM
If you aren't happy, make a change.  You might be surprised how chasing happiness can lead you to all sorts of accomplishments that to you were not work at all.
I have decided to be happy because whatever happens around me should not be a determining factor of my happiness. For more than a year now I have decided to look at life in a new way and that has made me more successful in everything I am doing than before. I went into trading and for 4 years I couldn't make any money because all around me is about sadness until I changed my thinking and decided to pursue happiness. Since then I am happy and successful too.

That was a great read about something as an european didn't know anything about. Thank you for educating us.
Of a truth I was well informed and some of us that are new in gambling will definitely see this as one of the ways to make gambling decisions without directly involved in it. The brokers will use your funds on your behalf and getting the best odd and reduce risk through negotiations.
