I'm in MO USA with 8 cent electric. Have access to a warehouse, and thinking of starting a host site. To make it worth it we would need a few miners. I'm supposed to hear back from some people in the next week. I will keep you all updated if we get something going. If you were serious and wanted to meet and great that could be arranged. Mine on

I could be interested in this. I'm in NWA, what part of MO you in, or should I say, is the warehouse in?

Just checked the fans in my two S9´s and both exhaust fans are connected to the FAN5 connector. No problems at the moment with the fans ramping up and down.

Thanks man, gotta check a couple of S9's that coincidentally I was cleaning yesterday and didn't check how the fans were connected.

By the way, one of these fans is reporting >30.000RPM  Huh   http://tinypic.com/r/4g6f5e/9

That is one HARD WORKING fan!

Hmm .... seem to have had a failover to my 2nd backup pool (Slush) about an hour and a half back - any issues with the nodes? I have jp and nl configured as primary and backup.
Yeah the JP node had a brief failover but an immediate failback at 20:23 UTC
The network disconnect was only a few seconds, but bmminer and others wait 5 minutes to reconnect.

NL hasn't had a disconnect for quite a while - so it should have failed over to NL without issue.

I guess it's just the behavior of S9's bmminer then - failed over to NL, after 4.5 minutes went to Slush long enough to make me 0.00004 BTC and then bounced back to JP Smiley

so not sure if something changed but I got a .001 BTC payout, maybe with the lower fees, the pool payed below the .01 which everyone had said was the threshold?

.01 is the threshold for slush...you sure you're on the right page?

Ha, it's even more funny that that... I was wondering  if a .001 would get paid from Kano, *BUT* I posted the question on the slush thread... duh, didn't even notice it until now.

So keep on mining and ignore my idiocy... Smiley

yeah was nice to see the .001 paid - from KANO - my first and only at about 20% ramp

Welcome aboard. Keep it here and keep getting paid! Full ramp is where it's at and we're all headed there! (except those cool cats that are already there. To you I say, make way for bigolin!)

Cry Cry I lost power to my router yesterday and I was on site so I didn't know until this morning  Cry

Now I have to ramp up again   Undecided

What do you guys use to get notifications on your miners?

Hi,

https://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com/index.php

and

CKPool app for my android

I use awesome miner because I have a small set up. The amount of notifications you can set and rules you can establish are amazing to me. Overheat protection at a custom temp, warnings at certain temps, reboot commands when certain criteria are met, etc. The list goes on and on. I love it.

Ok I’ve read the payout section on the pools website and I know ramp up has been talked about here these last few pages. I’m still having trouble understanding. How do I know when I’m fully ramped up? Is it after 15 days or is there a percentage or something I can look at under my worker? Also if I’m fully ramped up and I add more workers to increase my hash rate. Will they all be ramped up or does each worker I add need to ramp up on there own?

Each worker ramps individually.

Also check the red line in the Shift graph which I believe reflects a close but not exact representation of your ramp.

Also on every block solve your reward will show the ramp level at the time of the block.

Guys, I have a 13.5 Th/s S9. But since I changed settings to sg.kano and shut the window of the balcony a little bit it's now always over 14 Th/s. Temps are 67, 60, 60 and GH/s avg is 14,008.

Is my miner doing too much and killing its longevity or it's completely normal..? I used to keep the balcony window wide open and temps were like 60, 50, 50 or something like that and it always hashed around 13.5 Th/s. Kano.is website is registering my miner's hash rate at around 14 to 15k.

Thanks guys.

Nothing to worry about.. you're fine.

I agree, you have nothing to be concerned about with what you have described.

MINE ON!

Quick question:

Has anyone noticed the statistics for January 13th from 01:54:04 UTC through 06:57:26 UTC? The PPS% is different than the rest of the shifts that are in that particular group. It's hard to explain but basically the other shifts in line with it were rewarded the same number of times, but it appears that there might be a statistic issue or those shifts missed a reward somehow. I'm not sure if this is the same timeframe where the server, stratum, whatever went down for a few of us or not.

Just wanted to mention it.

Well as I say, "usually wont be confirmed until we find our next block", but our last payout was just confirmed Smiley
Blocks must be pretty empty at the moment Tongue

I got all excited thinking we had finally unwrapped this sweet block, only to find a whole new level of "Mine On"

I was able to fix the S7 that had burned up power connections...

So +5ths to the chain...

Its totally gong to be the straw that breaks the block... i can feel it.

Did you just desolder the old pcie connectors and put new on?

Yes, after suggestion from someone here...

Working great !

I had used a crappy power supply on my first ever S7, and paid for it... melted the cable sheathing and made a mess of the power connectors.
Only antminer power supplies from now on...

I've got a T9 that I am about to undertake the same task on. Any issues you ran into?

My mining room doubles as a drying closet, don't need to buy a dryer anymore ...

C'mon, 1 in 7.4!

Only problem here is that all that moisture is then being sucked through your miners since its airborne.

Lol humidity is a biatch.

In other news today is a sad day for me. Running your miners on your dryer's 220v connection temporarily is awesome, until it's laundry day. I swear next time I'm taking the laundry to a laundromat.

All 4 miners are taking a breather while the undies get 90% dry.

I've never tried slush!
I'll give kano a go then slush... maybe 5 days for each pool!
we'll see, thanks for the charts!

Go back and read a few pages.  Wink

I agree...if you are going to mine for 5 days and use that as your test, then save yourself the trouble and just mine at Slush because you will be happier. However, if you are looking for the pool that pays you the most over time, then this is far superior to Slush.

I have been a part of this pool since January 12th and I already see why people get aggravated answering the same exact questions again and again. Please read a bit so you understand that mining for 5 days will not make you happy here, it wont leave you with a realistic outlook on your potential here, and will only leave you bitter at this pool.

All of the info is here, you just neee to read it and see how it applies.

Let’s hope to hit that today! 70% and Growing

I'm ready. I brought two more S9's over to BitMinter to try and speed it up. Plus anytime it starts looking like it might be a super long block, I try to start ramping up some extra hash power.

That's also my intention with other 2 S9 that I'll receive in March. I just hope they will able to repay themselves because of the difficulty that is increasing so badly.

As long as they are profitable you should be good to go as they will eventually pay themselves off. Of course, the higher the BTC value is, the quicker it's paid off. You can always sell off one of your S9's which then covers the cost of the first one (by eBay prices) and you are in the green on the one. That's always an option and one I considered as well.

In regards to miner temperature and hashrate variability, here are my findings with my AntMiner S9 after a couple of days:

My miner has stayed within the temperature range of 74 degrees to 78 degrees for the hottest Chip.  When it gets to 78 the fans kick into overdrive and put it down to 74.  If I keep the Antminer S9 in a cooler place, the temps drop a couple of degrees and the fans do not run in overdrive and make much less noise.   I have not seen a difference in hashrate on the S9 Status Screen based on room temperature so far.

The hashrate on the Status screen has been consistently around 13.50 TH/s (Ideal) and 13.68 TH/s (RT).   Not sure what RT means.

Here is my AntMiner S9 Status Screen: https://imgur.com/a/UdaSg

Now, on the pool website, for worker shifts, my hashrate has varied wildly and randomly between 11.15 TH/s and 14.81 TH/s, but the average is around 13.68 TH/s.

I've always understood RT to mean "Real Time" as in what it is currently hashing at that moment, while the other is your average Hashrate over time.
I can't wait to have my shed up with an exhaust fan and some A/C cooling the shed in the summers. These temps in my garage are killing me since it's Arkansas and decided to go from 0 degrees outside last week to mid to upper 50's this weekend and upcoming week. Now I have the garage door cracked outside, and I have the interior garage door opened fully to try and exhaust the heat into the house and it's STILL a little warm for me. As it is it's hitting around 77 and then cooling down and heating back up within 3 - 5 minutes. Rinse, repeat.

Thanks!  RT meaning Real Time makes sense.

As for keeping it cool in your garage, why can you use a fan to help move the air out?

Until recently the cold air was handling the cooling. I have the door cracked so slightly that putting a fan in there I feel would just recirculate the same hot air because it would just bounce off the garage door. Since It's only temporary I'm trying to make it work until the shed is up

gl man. Yeah I have mine in a shop, separate building than my home. Its small, only 120 sf with a 9' ceiling on a 4/12 pitch for a total volume of around 1000 cubic ft. I started leaving the window open a little but noticed that if it got too cold they lag.  Roll Eyes Huh Huh let me know if you want any other infoz

When you say shop, do you have central air out there or are you running a portable A/C or no A/C at all in the summer? I am building a shed to house my miners, currently only 4 S9's but plan to add on as profits allow. I am planning on running an exhaust fan to the shed and boxing in the hot side , while running a portable AC unit with 10000 BTU cooling. This should allow me to keep the shed cool even on the hottest summer days. Not sure what your setup is looking like but I am all about any input other users have on mistakes they may have made in the past or things they wish they had done differently.

I built this shop especially for mining though it has more purpose than just mining including storage and a work bench, etc, with the consideration of a great deal of heat being generated. It is an "open building" in that I constructed it, and when I build the roof system I opted to ommit the 2x6 rafter blocks and went with 2x4 so there is an open air gap at the top of the roof pitch. This is a flat roof, btw.  so considering the rise of heated thermal air, a constant cycle of air is produced. I have no HVAC quipment, just a 3d printer on the desk running sometimes. my miners are on shelving that built at about 6'.

So far, I am very pleased with the design. It doesn't get too hot (yet), though if it does its resolved simply by cracking the window.

If I'm not mistaken, I read that anything sub-100 deg. C is A. O. K.

Mine are thriving in their custom lava submersion tank.

lol kk

alright, first of all I'm sorry. I'm not sure wtf I was thinking. Those temperature numbers I talked about are crazy. Nevermind that, I wasn't looking at my terminal. I am now. My temps average around 38 deg Celsius, though at times it may spike to 42.

smh sorry about that!

So I'm lost now...which temps post were you being crazy in? Was it this post you were messed up on?

"My best hash rate is right around 80-83 degrees.

Anything less than 75 and  they're losing 20% of the hashrate. They seem happy to chill around 80-82 degrees with fans around 4500 to 5400 rpm"

I hate it if this is incorrect because these numbers match up with what I have on my hands over here (minus the losing hashrate below 75 C).
