81  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin Over? on: October 17, 2019, 08:21:24 PM
Of course, the reputation of Bitcoin was very much affected by a significant decrease in bitcoin capitalization.  But we all know what causes such problems.  I believe that if the scaling of Bitcoin, including transaction costs, changes, it will improve the investment climate for investors.  Several times there has been news in the media that large companies are interested in Bitcoin transactions, but it is precisely the possible shortage of transactions that scares them from real cooperation with Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a decentralized currency and major companies around the world show interest in joining hands with this currency so that they can have good control over their money. But as you have mentioned, they are simply scared of these high transaction fees and other prominent issues related to transactions. If these get resolved, bitcoin will be again in high demand.
82  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: October 17, 2019, 06:57:40 PM
between savings and investment In my opinion there are advantages and disadvantages of each. when someone has a lot of money and without any urgency in themselves, in my opinion investment is very suitable for someone as long as investing on the basis of investment knowledge and carried out in the right way. but in my opinion, savings also have advantages. when at any time someone has an urgent need, they can immediately take their money without waiting for the specified time. investment is very good for profit, but it will not be as expected if the investment was made because of FOMO.
I think investing because FOMO will make someone regret if the price is not as they expected.
As long as talking about the NEED of money, I would say that if a person has a large amount of money then it is very important that he should keep half of his money for any urgency because nobody knows the time of emergency, while for earning profit a person need to invest his remaining money in any legit site. So I think everybody should keep BALANCE in saving and investment.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: October 17, 2019, 05:51:06 PM
How many times have you gone against the crowd and smiled to the bank

I have gone against the crowd so many times but I seldom smiled to the bank for doing so, there is a high risk if you continue doing this, you'll  going to do this only if you have a lot of funds to spare, if you don't have, you are going to lose a lot.
the temptation is always there and if it is well calculated and you are sure, then try your luck it could be your lucky day.

Going against the crowd or, in other words, betting on something that is very unlikely to happen, has nothing to do with the amount of money someone can afford to lose. In many cases people lose more when they go with the crowd, because the payout of such bets is small, and in order to win $10 you have to wager over $50, and in the case of bad luck you lose your $50. While if someone aiming to win $10 going against the majority, he/she can risk something around $2, and either lose it or win $10 in case of good luck.
I think going against crowd is not a big deal if you have a good observation of the scenario on which you are going to put a bet. But if the case is opposite and you don’t know anything about the case and just by believing on your luck, you make a bet, I think that would be a big mistake from your side because sometimes there are things that are cocksure that they will happen and without thinking and putting bet can never change those things.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: October 17, 2019, 05:10:49 PM
I believe every gambler have a moment where they won a huge amount of money on gambling included me. I think the biggest amount i ever got on gambling is around $4k-$5k in a single slip bet on sports betting. I forgot which match was that but i won big with that slip and i remember i withdraw the half of it.
Yeah, it’s true that there comes a time in a life of every single gambler when he or she wins a huge amount of money and that becomes the primary reason for which these gamblers start loving gambling. Maybe the amount that he or she won was not big enough in the eyes of other gamblers but still profit is profit and it doesn’t have any importance that was it of one percent or of one hundred percent.
85  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: October 17, 2019, 03:56:15 PM
I think the best method would be for one to predetermine one's entry and exit points while maintaining MM - Money Management. With that in mind, one should be satisfied taking whatever profit or lose his entries have and should not soak oneself in regret if price continues in ones direction after the exit. After all, the market will always be there for another entry.

This would help a lot. Before making an order, one should already have a definite set of numbers for stop loss and take profit. If the prices and their movements change along the way, different from what are being expected and predicted by the technical analysis, one could always withdraw or cancel the orders and create another one based on the trend. Objective analysis of what is happening is the key.
It’s good indeed we can have such amazing profitable trading but have to be good in planning for it. At first step never invest such huge amount that you can’t manage to lose. Just take start with well known and trust worthy sites and buy at low price so holding it will give you profit. Cut lose or suddenly panic it’s full of lose.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: October 16, 2019, 08:41:22 PM
Luck will always be on the side of those who work or make a living from gambling income, because they will try to master the game and will continue to play to earn income for their needs, and this happens to my close friends and even he has more income than me who has permanent work.
and as long as he enjoys and always earns income from gambling he will continue to play, and only God will change it because it has become his way and plan and there will be a good time to change it at the right time.

Are you serious about this?

Luck is invisible, you can't predict whether this person will get lucky or not because it's very random. Even you're full of hard work and put so much effort into your passion, if there's no luck then you will still strive more to get another luck. Winning and being successful in gambling is pure luck, no one can get a winning streak in the whole year unless the person is cheating or controlling the house.

You didn't consider the other factors your friend has so he/she keeps winning. It's not about luck, it's your idea and strategy also but luck has the huge factor of winning.

Luck is a natural phenomenon that could happen to all of us and yes, it is indeed random. It is not luck anymore if you master gambling or became a professional gambler, it is what we called "skill" that could bring us fortune in playing gambling, but winning and being successful is not pure luck, maybe sometimes, but it's not always, because every time we play and lose, we learn, and we use those every lessons we learned in gambling to win profits.
Not only gambling but all games that we play are controlled by two important factors i.e. luck and skills about that game. The history of sports is full of incidences when luck came into action and made people victorious and vice versa. There are also numerous cases where people won because of their skills. So in short, we shall master the game and then rely on luck.

Agree with you say. Actually in gambling we can't just rely on luck alone, without any skill and strategy when playing. The luck factor also cannot always be expected when gambling, because it really doesn't always come. It's always better to add skills to each game than to expect to play with luck.
I think gambling is a matter of pure luck and strategies do play roll in gambling but only at the time when one’s luck is not working properly. Even if one’s strategy is good enough, even then he would need a good luck to win the game. For me, luck plays a keen role in each and every single game of gambling but I don’t know why you are not agreeing with luck involved in gambling.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the Faith of Casino business owners? on: October 16, 2019, 07:41:34 PM
snip...
This article does not cover the overall casino gambling business worldwide and it is only related to the Muslim country Bangladesh. Gambling is already prohibited in that area and government wants to shut down the illegal running casinos.
I think the OP intends to offend this on a broad scale, and the article which offends Bangladesh is just an example.

Maybe in that country, people will not see a casino again because gambling will be prohibited in that country.
People will use a VPN to hide their real IP because, at that time, people can not go to the real casino.
But I don't think that the government can prohibit gambling easily because some gambling owners will use different approaches to running their business.
online gambling cannot be stopped.. my country strictly prohibits all forms of gambling (online/offline) but still cannot be stopped, even according to statistics the growth rate of online gambling players in my country is increasing.

Gambling is good for a country if people do play it in limit and don’t let their official and personal life get effected with gambling. In my country it is not ban people can gambling but still society does not see a gambler in a good way so problems are there in every country but people only do what they actually want to do, people who want to gamble will find anyway for it..
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: October 16, 2019, 06:53:14 PM
I have a friend who wins 15,000 pesos or $300 the first time keno games in an offline betting outlet, he is so happy and very ecstatic about his winnings, I congratulate him and ask him how long before he hit the jackpot, he told me that it took him 7 months and he is betting daily at 100  pesos or $3 so his losses are bigger than winnings.

But surprisingly he did not calculate his losses all he cares about is he finally wins, how about you do you remember your losses when you win a big amount and do you calculate your losses and ask if the winning is worth it?

This is why there are lots of gambling businesses. It's seems like a solid business model because it looks easy to profit from human nature. Personally, i like to calculate so when i win "big" i know it is never really big enough to cover the previous losses.

But i found that it's best to savor the wins, big or small, because in the end, i gamble just for fun.
I never believe the statement we gamble for fun. Just think of a gambling website that don't pay you, and you can play without spending as well. Will people use this gambling website for fun, almost 99% of the users are into gambling just to try their luck and for the easy money. Winning big needs a bigger wager, this isn't possible with every gamblers. Only the large volume holders of cryptocurrency can wager big and big win.
But I would say that there are still a lot of people who really gamble for fun as there are many websites who offer gambling only for fun and that’s like playing an ordinary game, while the rest of the people gamble for making money as they decide to consider gambling as their source of income and most of them are the large volume holders of crypto currency but there are few who don’t have enough money still they gamble in the hope of winning big.
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Savings Vs Investment? on: October 15, 2019, 07:37:58 PM
I would prefer investment rather than saving because in saving your money won't grow but if you invest it especially in crypto you can assure that you can be able to earn a big profit on it. I think it's just like saving because investing in crypto is good for the long term so I think it's just like a time deposit on saving on the bank.
Investment is the thing that attracts majority of the people in the world because everyone wants to grow their savings. Investing into coins that double your money simply by keeping them in wallets is something that everybody wants. You are doing nothing, you are totally a passive player in this game and people love this thing of crypto.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 15, 2019, 06:19:57 PM
A lot of us here love sports and we are betting at the same time.
I am not successful in this kind of venture but I would love to know from people here on what they do in order to win.
They say that sports betting has no house edge, but why is it it's still hard to win here?
I think analyze really  affect on this, but in other side rely on luck too. Well, it is strategy gambling that actually allow you to analyze both of team/person who play in the match. But in game, anything can be happen. Sometime side that under estimated can win or anything like that. Or maybe small percentage of match being fixed.
Corruption was there always and we all have to admit this. Right from the beginning of human race, corruption was done by them. If we talk about games particularly like cricket back then there were not any cameras with high quality thing and there was no concept of third umpire. This is why umpires were the gods of cricket.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: October 15, 2019, 05:48:04 PM
I am not aware of these kind of betting were available on gambling sites, only had these kind of bets with my friends and that's only just for fun. This kind of gambling can be highly predictable then how those sites were surviving while having this?
There are bettors so it's up to them on how they survive. They are not focusing on this kind of betting but it's just an additional option for their customers to bet on.
I think it's sustainable on their side providing some other interesting events that they can bet on like politics.

On the contrary, betting on politics is the most unpredictable kind of game. I am sure you have no idea what betting on politics could be like, if you did, you would understand better. I hate to bet on politics because I know the nature of the game, it can be deceitful and as well confusing and coupled with the fact it doesn't come very often like other games makes it even more discouraging.
IMO it's easier to bet on politics than an NBA game.
Especially if that is president election. We know who is win in president election when a lot of people talk to him. From your username i know maybe we're from same country and last president election really can be predictable.
If this is right then that gambling site will go bankrupt soon or the rewards from these special events might be very less since the result is kind of predictable.
People definitely always get the idea before elections that which party is going to win the game. But there is a huge lot of people who still are not aware of the games played by political party and if they bet on politics, may be they can give gambling some profit. But as you said, people do not find betting on politics interesting.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best advice you ever heard in case of investments and all on: October 14, 2019, 06:26:45 PM
Best advise I've ever come across in crypto is the necessity to perform a thorough research on a project before joining its investment. Since not all cryptocurrency projects can be trusted or not all can survive, it is good to research and identify the authenticity and capabilities of the project before investing in them.
Indeed and never enter in any kind of investment without knowledge about it. Educate yourself first, take time studying the nature of the investment you want to invest in.

Dont rush things because there's a perfect time for everything.
But I always heard that we should invest in crypto Currencies always for long term it gives benefit also we feel safe for not trading on wrong time. We should just try to buy at low price so holding will be profitable. When I got in crypto I only learnt to buy low, hold with patience and never panic after this try to sell at high price.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: October 14, 2019, 03:22:08 PM
Due to the economic status of most African countries, the people of Africa embraces anything that brings profit and employment to them. Cryptocurrency projects that targets Africa always win the market in Africa although some places still have difficulties in accessing quality internet connections.
Yeah Africa is good place where so many cities are now adopting new technologies and also bitcoin because they got to know how the rest of world is getting benefit from crypto currencies. Africa was under development ten years ago from now but the now it’s most developed nations and after arrival of bitcoin it has become among top 10 well developing countries.
94  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Trader on: October 14, 2019, 01:07:07 PM
You just need to keep trying to learn by self-taught, because when more you try then will more you become accustomed to failure so that it will make you a valuable lesson at later time. Failure is a lesson to be better in the future.
Often new traders are in search of mentors who can guide them all tricks of trading and they end up often paying huge fees to trading experts and still are not able to enjoy desired results. As you have mentioned about self learning, that is the only key to success in trading because everyone has different trading style and preferences, so just take guidance not depend on others totally.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling risk is higher when we are on Bear Market? on: October 13, 2019, 08:12:02 PM
What's your thought about this?

I have a scenario for this topic:

John bought Bitcoins when at the price of $18,000 and decided it to HODL.
But after he bought some Bitcoin, the price is starting to decrease, from $18,000 to $10,000 and to $4,000.
So,he already lost his money for almost 50% and he decided to gamble his Bitcoins;

Here's the thing, if you are John and start to gamble, would you bet with high risk (betting with huge amount, betting in low chance of winning, etc)?

Since if it was me, I already lost a lot when I even bought those Bitcoins at $18,000 so the best thing I can do is to gamble it and earn more bitcoins to decrease my loss or breakeven it.

What can you say about this? Or maybe you already experienced this.

This is gambling it's hard to break even here or decrease your lost, you are literally giving up your hope to recover all your investment and the worst part is yet to come, you will be in sorry for the rest of your life if you lose all those Bitcoin in gambling and Bitcoin another all-time high, you will carry that for the rest of your life.
If the person is losing great deal of mighty bitcoin in gambling, he shall either pause gambling for sometime or shall quit it forever because bitcoin is the asset of crypto market. It is you can say in simple words the diamond of crypto market. Only a fool can think about gambling with bitcoin and keep doing it even when you are going in clear loss.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's most important to you in a crypto betting platform? on: October 13, 2019, 07:36:14 PM
The most important of course is your security on the gambling site and how reputable they are, without any serious complaint against them.
You should always consider that you are far away from any scam sentiments that make your all fund lose. And the second one is about deposit and withdrawal, it should not take a longer time to process any transactions whether in or out of the gambling site transactions.
Choosing at our own risk in gambling, we should avoid or ignore those gambling sites that has a shady activity.
These all aspects shall be seriously considered by those who want to make some seriously good money with gambling on online sites. Most of the gambling sites these days are scams and this is why new gamblers are always in loss. Legit gambling sites don’t hide things and they never have obscure policies. Always check public review before choosing a website.
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting too emotional while trading crypto on: October 13, 2019, 06:39:50 PM
Getting emotional while trading will not help you to stay patient, at the beginning of my trading I have experienced such type of emotion we see a downturn. Before entering into trading we have to prepare ourselves by not getting panic because panic is the most dangerous factor in trading.
There are numerous examples of people losing great money in trading just because they panicked or there are those cases also where they were about to win some good money but because of too much rush of emotions, they took decision of quitting trading at that very moment leaving huge profit. So do trading without emotions or instincts.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: October 11, 2019, 08:15:10 PM
Very interesting topic. Tell me im too old school however I still believe that gambling is still a win of luck.
Similar with trading its not always a winning trade even though you are a professional trader. Smiley
No doubt that gambling is still a case of luck. From luck I meant to say about good luck only because bad luck has no role to play in case of gambling. If someone tries to carry on with bad luck despite his or her bad luck, then I think it’s totally something that wouldn’t last long. So gambling is only the matter of luck and if even the whole world starts saying that this is wrong, it can never change.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Poker vs Live Casino Poker on: October 11, 2019, 07:50:13 PM
if you are a true gambler, of course, it is more felt if you are directly at the table and see the face of the enemy, we can guess whether he is in a good card or not and feel a satisfied atmosphere.
If we want to have a good play in poker, you'll probably right. Not just only to see the real face of our enemy but to see also how'd they feel when he loses or how'd they actually play. This is to think that bots are smarter than us and as we engage more into actual games, we might consider this as a great training ground before we will go into online poker games.

The actual game facing your opponents ads a lot of skills knowing that the facial expressions have connections with each types of strategy that your opponents are using against you. if you already master this kind of strategy you have advantages but it is not the case when you play online there's
bot which don't have any emotions you need to figure out how to beat them and have some good chances to win.
I wouldn’t agree with you in this regard my friend because I think that face expression only help you to judge about the scenario which is going on and if there is some new trick invented which helps you to tell about the strategy that is circling in your opponent’s mind, I don’t know a trick like that and I think people like me would also agree with me that  expressions are only used to judge scenarios.
100  Economy / Economics / Re: Know Your Customer on: October 11, 2019, 07:16:35 PM
I can't count how many time I submit KYC for trading exchange market and many airdrop, bounty and ICO investment. I don't know about my KYC data is safe or not because I have submit with thousand kind of project real or not for keep our identity and never give our ID for something else to other people and other company.
It is your responsibility to double check all the information of a project or an exchange before your submit any of your documentation about your identity. Submitting a KYC documents is easy and fast but you should also consider the risk of submitting your identity information to someone so I hope that this will served as a lesson for you to double check all the background information before trusting them with your personal information.
Yes I agree with you my friend that one should double check his or her information before submitting his or her information to some authorities because when you will once submit your KYC, then those authorities will be using your information in the way they want and if they are not having any good mindset, then no one can give you any surety that you are on a safe side.
