174 is a small target for the remaining batsmen though England could still win if they triggered a collapse.

Exciting first match which implies that this edition of Ashes will most probably be far better than the previous edition where Australia decimated England. Rain interference should stay minimal throughout this series hopefully.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: June 19, 2023, 01:00:35 PM
I think if the wager requirements are below 5x-1x then it ok and gamblers can easily pass through and make a withdrawal.
I disagree. The wagering requirements for deposits should be 1x and nothing higher since this is basically the industry standard these days and any site asking for more are just greedy as hell.

You represent a minority of gamblers who are fine with 1x - 5x wagering requirements for deposits frankly speaking.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 19, 2023, 04:35:15 AM
I guess the article has completely favoured the men with respect to the women. I haven’t seen or come across in such a situation done by the women, as mentioned in the OP. Regarding the slots games, then the women choose it, because they find it easier to win, or they connect more properly with the rules of games. This doesn’t mean the women only runs after the odds. At last a man or woman only gambles, when he/she needs to earn some extra money. So if we gender discriminate here also, then it will be completely unfair for the women.
Some stuff in the article are facts to be fair while some stuff is total nonsense in my opinion. The number of male and female gamblers are rising across the world thanks to online gambling sites, crypto etc.

However, the number of male gamblers will always be higher when compared to the number of female gamblers no matter how much times passes for various reasons.

These numbers vary wildly depending on the country based on my research.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: June 18, 2023, 11:16:04 AM
Your odds are better going all in at once and being done with it. Over many repeated attempts, ie gambling for a living, the law of averages would have you at a guaranteed loss over time given you flat bet on a game with a negative RTP (which is to say, any game you play outside of counting cards on BJ).
Agreed. What you described is yolo gambling which is the best way to gamble in my opinion. It's scary to invest everything at once, but it's the best way to beat the house edge in the short-term and save time too.

I won decent profits so far thanks to this particular gambling strategy. This high risk, high reward strategy is not for the weak-hearted.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 18, 2023, 05:49:33 AM
India not willing to play with Pakistan in Pakistan must be hurting for the ICC (if ICC were the independent body and not take directions from BCCI)
I doubt that. The Asia Cup isn't the World Cup or something which is why the ICC won't suffer any big losses due to these changes. Safety of the players supercedes anything else if you ask me which is why these changes are justified.

Had it been Ramiz Raja, the chairperson for PCB, and Imran Khan the prime minister of Pakistan, things would have been entirely different.
Dream on. They are all just corrupt fools who value money over everything else.
806  Economy / Gambling / Re: We NEED Bitcointalk Members Feedback on Casino Challenges! on: June 17, 2023, 12:14:16 PM
There's no fair challenge if you will involved whales and small time gamblers when wagering requirements is involved because of the bankroll difference.
Good point. Didn't really think much about it, but it's actually possible to provide a fair challenge to all players regardless of their bankroll size by restricting the amounts that they can wager every roll/bet.

Are these casino challenges free to participate in or is there some sort of entry requirements, like fees, minimum bets or only veteran accounts?
You can usually sort them depending on your account ranking etc in most gambling sites.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is legalized, a dream of mine would come true on: June 17, 2023, 04:35:32 AM
Cool dream op, but it will most probably remain a dream only. World governments(Especially Asian governments) fear BTC and other popular cryptocurrencies since they are capable of taking away some of their power and transferring it to the masses.

Many world governments are trying to regulate cryptocurrencies instead of banning them these days which is a positive step forward.
808  Economy / Gambling / Re: We NEED Bitcointalk Members Feedback on Casino Challenges! on: June 16, 2023, 01:36:56 PM
Interesting! Personally, I prefer P2P challenges in casino games with low house edge like dice, baccarat, blackjack etc though I am aware of the fact that most popular casino challenges focus on games with higher house edge like slots etc.

Also, my preferred challenges should require optimal wagering requirements in order to make it fair for all players(Not just whales).
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 16, 2023, 04:47:49 AM
My prediction is that the following teams would advance to the super-6 stage:
Group A: Zimbabwe, Nepal and West Indies
Group B: Ireland, Scotland and Sri Lanka
It's really tough to predict who will qualify for the super-6 stage apart from West Indies and Sri Lanka. I think that Netherlands, USA, Ireland and Scotland will join them in the next stage.

I would be stunned if West Indies or Sri Lanka or both would get knocked out in the super-6 stage.
810  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling addiction causes ear deafness? on: June 15, 2023, 06:19:45 PM
That title confused me to be honest with you op. I thought you meant ear deafness in the literal sense here. Anyway, I don't have any friends who cannot control their gambling addictions since they don't really wager much.

However, I know how difficult it is to control your gambling addiction based on my personal experience. It can get really, really scary sometimes.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 15, 2023, 04:28:59 PM
The Ashes is going to start soon this year and I am very excited for it. England resurrected themselves in recent times thanks to their Bazball approach under the leadership of Stokes and McCullum.

On the other hand, Australia won the WTC recently after consistently great performances due to which they are on top of the rankings. Am favouring England slightly more than Australia due to their Bazball approach.

Am hoping for an exciting series between both these teams. Also, no rain issues hopefully.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please give some light on XRP on: February 16, 2019, 05:47:10 AM
I bought the XRP when the price was 3.65 USD per Ripple. I thought the price will hit 5 USD. But after hitting 3.85 USD, XRP price started falling down incredibly. But I had hope that very soon the price will increase again. From then to now, I holding XRP coins and I will be holding until it hit 3 USD plus again! XRP is a centralized coin and they are making crypto popular among the banks and other centralized sectors. So, this is not a Ponzi scheme to me, look at the rank and volume of XRP! Even it beat ETH's rank several times. So, You are very well to hodl XRP coins until you get a good profit from it. Good Luck.
Damn. Quite optimistic. Seeing your investment fall in value over time and praying for a recovery has been the situation for many investors for the last year.

I think it will rise back up in value, but it might take another year or so possibly due to the next Bitcoin halvening which could trigger another bull market. Patience is the name of the game here.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The growth of the crypto market. on: February 14, 2019, 06:06:30 AM
Do you think that so far the crypto market has experienced significant growth? Where do you see it? Are you going to invest this month by buying some cheap altcoins? Thank you. Goodluck!

Slight growth is a more adequate word to use instead of significant growth based on coin market cap. I have been buying bit by bit when the market is down whenever i have the means to. I will just continue to my DCA strategy instead of going big this month even a big bull run.
I agree with you. Every small surge or drop in the price of Bitcoin leads to people going crazy here in this forum and they open up multiple threads asking whether Bitcoin is going to the moon or if it is going to die.

yes, I observe that at the moment the market conditions have begun to slowly improve and I think if we want to invest we have to start from now so that we will not regret it in the future because it's late.
Lol. Are you someone who looks at a crystal ball and makes these predictions? This is a dangerous market and no one can accurately predict what will happen in the future. Also, you need to improve your grammar buddy.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the cheater? on: February 11, 2019, 07:05:50 AM
Business is a dirty thing. As the saying goes, "dog eat dog." Everyone is trying to get more favorable conditions for themselves. As a result, we have what we have: bounty hunters try to get more tokens using multi-accounts; the team delays the distribution of tokens as much as possible for fear of a sharp price drop.
So no one cheater. It is just a business.
This is true. Everyone are aware of how volatile this market truly is and how any coin can rise or fall in value suddenly with or without any specific reason making this market one of the riskiest markets to invest into. However, high risk leads to high rewards sometimes which is why it is best to invest only what you are willing to lose no matter how the market conditions are(bullish or bearish).
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short-term or long-term investment? on: February 05, 2019, 05:25:22 AM
I want to invest with $ 2000, and I will choose 5 altcoins. Maybe one of them is Cardano. Is the short term more likely to gain profit or vice versa with the long term? Thank you.

It doesn't matter if it is short term or long term investment as long as you gain profits on your investment. And also include Ethereum (if it is not included) on your 5 altcoins that you're going to invest in. There's no need for long explanations but it will surely rise again at the near future as there are many projects that are using its platform.

What are you talking about? Do you even know how trading works buddy? Short term and Long term investing are different and you need to decide which is better for you based on your personal preferences.

Most people prefer short term trading in order to earn quick profits, but I personally don't prefer this and instead prefer long term trading since I can stay patient for a long period of time.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any good Fantasy Sports Site on: February 03, 2019, 06:23:11 AM
I guess these new "fantasy sports" websites will not take off because the crypto is more global and fantasy is more American than not and considering USA players have hard time gambling no matter even if its crypto casinos makes them stay away from crypto gambling which sets the fantasy world a bit behind all the other gambling.

Moreover, if a big sportsbook like nitrogen will decide to start something like that they will probably have a bigger user base which will make it fun for sure. Getting people to sign up and play for crypto on your brand new website is difficult and requires a lot of money to be spent on marketing however if you are already established it would be easy to gather people to gamble on fantasy sports and it would be like a brand new experience for them which would yield a lot of profit for the sportsbooks.

Makes sense, but the risk factor is also pretty big here which you need to consider. What if a very small portion of investors show interest in fantasy sports than expected? It could backfire and Nitrogen would end up losing more money than expected hitting them hard which is perhaps the reason they never did this considering the risk factor. At the moment, I don't know any legitimate casino that provides what op wants which is why it is best to simply focus on traditional gambling at the moment.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 30, 2019, 06:08:30 AM
There is definitely a lot of politics in almost all South Asian cricket boards, including PCB; however, I must hereby mention that Sarfaraz has never used any sort of unfair advantage(s) of this system. In fact, until 2015, he was badly victimized by this system. The pair of Shahid Afridi (as the captain) and Waqar Younus (as the coach) did their best to destroy Sarfaraz's career, but fortunately, Sarfaraz's extraordinary performance in domestic matches saved his career.
Among all South Asian teams, PCB is the most colluded and that is why Pakistan is in this situation. Otherwise, they could have a great team. Sarfaraz is a good player, no doubt. But as a captain for the world cup, I think Malik is better. Malik should be the captain.

I agree. The current Pakistan and Sri Lankan teams have literally no hope of lifting the world cup this year and almost anyone would agree with me due to bad team dynamics, bad captains etc.

India, Australia and England seem to be the best choices to lift the world cup later this year in my opinion.

Shoaib Malik would make a great captain, but the Pakistan team still needs many great players in order to stand a chance at lifting the world cup.
818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 29, 2019, 06:04:58 AM
I don't really mind Shoaib leading the team, after all, he's the most senior player in the team and more importantly very calm person during the pressure. having said that I still believe that Sarfaraz should lead the team in the World. Sarfaraz must talk with former players such as Wasim, Ramiz, Javed etc and ask for guidance.

Waseem Akram thinks that Sarfaraz should remain the captain till 2019 World Cup:

Sarfraz should remain captain till 2019 World Cup, says Wasim Akram

https://www.thenews.com.pk/latest/424799-sarfraz-should-remain-captain-till-2019-world-cup-says-wasim-akram

Quote
The former captain said: "Shoaib Malik won't be in the team after World Cup. Sarfaraz should remain captain. The PCB must appoint a vice-captain soon," he said.

Lol. I have lost all respect for Sarfaraz due to his recent remarks and I never did like him much to begin with. Shoaib Malik is a way better player in all regards in my opinion.

Not many recognize Sarfaraz when compared to Shoaib Malik which is obvious considering their contributions towards world cricket.

Pakistan are not doing well under Sarfaraz anyway which is why they need to replace him with Shoaib as captain as soon as possible.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 26, 2019, 05:56:15 AM
The Australia/Sri Lanka match could be all over today as Sri Lanka have already lost 5 wickets for just 74 runs and still trail by 105 runs. Pat Cummins has been the man for Australia taking 4 wickets so far. Its looking like Australia will win by an innings and runs unless Sri Lank can turn it around and make Australia bat again.
I agree with your opinion. Nothing surprising about any of this though. Srilanka have been playing horribly for a long time now and their performance continues to drop as time passes which is a really bad sign for them.

They were destroyed by a wounded Australia which goes to show their poor form. I feel that they need to radically change their lineup if they wish for positive changes in the future since the current lineup does not paint a good picture for them.
820  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 ERENA ★ Litecoin Crash & PvP Lottery 🔥 24 HOURS LEFT TO BECOME PARTNER on: January 23, 2019, 05:49:54 AM

I checked last replied is on june which is 2 months ago and there is nothing good there going on
This do just signify on having no interest on this kind of games and i have seen lots of similar bustabit games in the past some of them have purchased the license and some did not.

The following sites have purchased a non-distributable copy of the previous
version of bustabit's source code, exempting them from the requirements of the
AGPL:

 * erena.io

This one is good but i doubt on what would be the actual traffic or interest on their main launch.

yup there are dozens of the similar sites
even the LTC one popped up recently and seems to have quietly died somewhere on page 4-5 of the Gambling section
registered just because I like to try the new sites out,but I have a very severe case of a deja-vu
maybe the lottery functionality is new, haven't seen bustabit script based sites lately
other than that-nothing to write home about

I share the same opinion. For some reason, I feel that this website might not function for a long period just like many other websites which I have tried in recent times, but I have registered anyway and I like the website at the moment.

They even have a signature campaign going on at the moment that is paying in Litecoin which is a sign that these guys are legit and alright in my book.
