801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bought bitcoin at $20k last year on: August 22, 2018, 05:01:08 PM
I'm in the same boat, feels bad. However, I still believe that the cryptocurrency industry is still in its very early days. The fluctations we see year to year will be nothing in the grand scheme of things these changes will be dwarfed by the macroscopic changes we see at the macroscopic scale. I'm still holding until $100,000 (or $0), we'll see which one comes first.
802  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] 200 Reddit Karma on: August 22, 2018, 04:53:28 PM
Hello,

I'm looking to buy 200 Reddit Karma.

I need to get two accounts up to 100 Karma each to be able to post in a particular subreddit and create a subreddit.

Please post here with your quote and estimated time take to complete the task.

Payment will be in BTC/ETH
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Bull market trends on: August 22, 2018, 02:21:57 PM
Whenever there's market movement in the positive direction, the coins with the strongest community tend to pump the most, e.g. Ontology, IOTA, VEN/VET and Quarkchain. This doesn't mean there's an overall bull trend, it just means that the market favors these over the others when the market is doing relatively well. Don't assume a 10%+ pump on any of these is the sign of a bull trend, because it probably isn't.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Well-known cryptocurrency will cease to exist in just a few months on: August 22, 2018, 02:18:59 PM
It's unlikely that any of the major cryptocurrencies, including altcoins will be ceasing to exist any time soon. We're still nowhere near the peak of this wave man. If you just look at the potential of some of these projects you'll see that a lot of them are here for the long run, certainly none of the top 10 are going anywhere any time soon, you might see a few in the top 100 turn out to be scams and dump to 0, but even that's unlikely now.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The era of bounty hunter comes to an edd? on: August 22, 2018, 11:02:52 AM
There is a difference between scamming and failing, people like you annoy me. The facts are actually that 80% of bounties don't pay because the project behind it FAILS! Obviously, if an ICO fails to raise its minimum cap, then tokens will not be distributed, that's not them scamming you, that's the rules of the game! If you don't like it, don't play, very simple.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to be notified about signature campaigns rewarded with money? on: August 22, 2018, 11:01:05 AM
First of all, very few signature campaigns for member signatures because they're almost useless as advertising. I don't think I've ever clicked on a signature advert from a normal member, it just doesn't demonstrate trust for the project. Also, why would anybody do this? Do you know how much competition there is for signature slots? There are very few slots available, and tens of thousands of members on here. If you want to get a signature campaign, do the hard work and find it yourself.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Theft on: August 22, 2018, 10:58:28 AM
Typically wallets are hacked by a trojan virus, you probably downloaded something that was suspicious, infecting your PC with a backdoor that then retrieved your wallet details and sent them to the hacker. Alternatively, it's quite possible you downloaded a malicious wallet to begin with, there's a bunch of infected and fake versions of wallets such as Electrum, so check that first and check its PGP signature to make sure it's authentic.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I invest like around 600 USD in to Ethereum, Is it a good investment? on: August 22, 2018, 06:57:43 AM
$600 in any of the top 10 cryptocurrencies will be a good investment for the long term. However, you probably won't receive as much profit as if you invest in a sub 100 coin, as these often still have the potential to x3-5 relatively quickly, whereas that's extremely unlikely for ETH or BTC in the short term.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your smartest move up till now on: August 22, 2018, 06:48:37 AM
My smartest move was buying Bitcoin at $15,000 and still holding it until now.  Cool

In reality, my actual smartest move was buying Zilliqa low, and flipping it for 5x the price a couple weeks later, however I didn't put a huge amount of money in so the returns weren't amazing. Still chasing the 10x dream.
810  Other / Meta / Re: Analysis - Merited on multiple Subsections and the Correlation Matrix on: August 22, 2018, 06:35:16 AM
Extraordinary effort, glad to see people contributing valuable discussion to the forum. Usually among the people indicated as high merit achievers, you'll usually find one or two that are abusing merit. However, that list looks as legit as can be, no merit abusers there. I wonder who will be the first to achieve merit in every section (including archival!)
811  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Should income tax be abolished? on: August 22, 2018, 06:21:45 AM
I'm not against taxes. I'm against how they are put to use.

Glad to see another person defending the NHS with such vehemence. The truth is, regardless of how underfunded or poorly managed the NHS is, it is still an absolute triumph of civilization. I agree with your judgement about the allocation of taxes, did you know that in some parts of the UK, you actually pay more council tax for poorer service? Here in London, you pay council tax and have your bins emptied once a week, whereas in rural parts of the UK, you pay more for your bin to be emptied once a month, have fewer roads being maintained, and have access to far poorer facilities than elsewhere.

I think that if anything, income tax should be increased. Right now, critical services remain underfunded because they simply don't generate enough tax to cover them adequately. There are a number of improvements that could be made, such as spending the tax of our population on the following;

1. Development and implementation of renewable energy sources, to approach close to free energy
2. Production of a small, but survivable universal basic income for ALL. OR provide access to free food and nutrition for the very poor without any conditions.
3. Improvement of the education system. Massive investments into infrastructure and quality education to build a better, more capable future generation
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I do not know which ICO is good to follow ? on: August 21, 2018, 08:59:25 PM
I'd recommend looking at https://cafe-coin.com, not many people know about it yet because it's just about to ramp up its marketing campaign. But it's definitely one to watch.

Disclaimer: I'm the bounty manager of this project, but the opinion is mine.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next coins to 50x-100x when market recovers on: August 21, 2018, 08:53:10 PM
Which coins have the potential to go 50 to 100x when the market recovers........coins under 5 dollars please. what are your ideas?

Also how long do you think it'll take for market to recover...?

I am very bullish on ICON, Zilliqa and ontology all of them provide blockchain platform and are very near to their mainnet launch. In future this coins will be give easy 100x because of the competition and in future peoples will surely give more preferably to the transaction speed, easy to deploy smart contracts and its cost, scalability etc and this project have all of these qualities as compare to ethereum.

It's not possible for coins to 100x in this market, regardless how much potential they have. The total market cap of all cryptocurrencies is decreasing over time, the value is just being moved between different blockchains due to the traders. It's very unlikely that 100x the value can move into any cryptocurrency right now, we need to wait until a bull run grows the absolute value of blockchain investments.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF, what is it really? on: August 21, 2018, 08:49:34 PM
I personally believe that whilst ETFs are a step in the right direction, it's unlikely they'll be approved any time soon, simply because of the market uncertainty looming over Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies now. However, those making the decision do have a financial incentive to approve it if they're intelligent enough to make use of this opportunity.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next coins to 50x-100x when market recovers on: August 21, 2018, 08:43:35 PM
I personally think that very few ICO projects will achieve 50-100x simply because of the size of their hard caps these days. For example Pumapay had a hard cap of around $100m, which means you can already tell it's definitely not going to 100x and suddenly be at 10B market cap. However, I think the projects that still have the potential to do more than 10x include IOST, Zilliqa and Quarkchain, though I wouldn't count on this any time soon.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have received some tokens. Should I sell or hold? on: August 21, 2018, 08:41:11 PM
If the project is trash, then you should just sell the tokens at the current market price. This market isn't suitable for weak projects, and you'll find that it'll suffer against BTC in the long run, particularly since BTC dominance is remaining stable over 50%. However, if the price has already dumped to ridiculous levels, then it may be best to ride out this wave until it restores a bit.

818  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Luckygames.io Glitch/Scam on: August 21, 2018, 12:57:54 PM
I have been playing on Luckgames for the past week. I was using a method which I used the automated betting system and would leave it running for long periods of time.

I was betting on under 26 on every loss increasing the bet by 35% and on every win returning to the base bet. I had a .525 BTC balance in my account. My Bet amount was 0.00000010

I left this running over night and when I woke up I noticed I had busted and my entire .525 BTC balance was gone. I checked the "My Bets" tab and noticed that I had lost 30 consecutive times in a row after a win.

Doing math starting at 0.00000010 and increasing by 35% 30 times would be 0.00232216. How is it mathematically possible that my entire balance is gone? I would have had enough funds to fund another bet.

Here is a picture of what my account looked like when I came back to check it:

What I dont understand is how the entire time it increased 35% then all of a sudden went from 0.00062597 BTC to trying to place a 0.1875 BTC bet

These were the settings I was using:

Also video proof:
https://i.gyazo.com/7abd58d5ce8ee6ad591ebeb0de6ef761.gif

It looks like the highest best you played was 0.0006, where are you getting the 0.1875 number from? That's not visible on your video proof.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TAU:The Active Unit | The First Proof-Of-Transaction Coin [POT] on: August 21, 2018, 08:30:45 AM
Will users not gravitate to the Club with the highest Harvest Power?

They will, but their block reward is always calculated as the relative percentage of their harvest power contribution for their harvest club. So whilst they might mint more new blocks being part of a very strong harvest club, they will also receive a small cut of the fee reward due to the strength of all the other harvest club members. Whereas if they join a smaller group, they'll mint blocks left often, but have a high relative slice of the total harvest power, and hence receive a high percentage of the block reward. This is a decision that each user will need to make.

The only sure fire way to increase your own rewards is by increasing your own harvest power.
