Do you guys think it's worth getting an Oct 400 gh kit? It looks like by then KNC will likely deliver and BFL will continue to pump out ASICS so difficulty may make it impossible to pay this kit off.

Alot of people think KNC wont make it by Sept. shpping but when no one know for sure.

806  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL BitForce SC Firmware source code on: July 09, 2013, 10:40:41 PM
Jal use shortboard and LS and Single use doubleboard but LS use only half of doubleboard.
807  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: July 09, 2013, 09:34:10 PM
I just state that i fear if i try this with the allready bad performing device, it will make things worse instead it gives better hashes

Also tom99 you assumed incorrect my order was a sc single which would do 30Gh not a jalapeno and i paid enough to get 10 jalapeno's
Second its no use to contact them they simply refuse to listen nor answer and the costs for sending it back will up the losses even more

sorry that I was thinking you got Jal and you might got bad LSC or damage by shipping.
808  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Experimenting with Jalapeno firmware... on: July 09, 2013, 09:12:47 PM
Well the crap jala i received from those bfl people is prolly not even worth trying to pump up

Which placed the very bad experience with BFL to an absolute -251 kelvin in my view

When it came out of the box it ran for a few minutes at 6000 Mh then all of a sudden it kept going down steadily
While the hashrate is going down the error rate keeps creeping up the scale

At the moment i get between 3900 to 4700 Mh, mostly around 4300

So even on stock this thing produces enough amounts of errors

While the temp according the readout not exceed 31 c, which looks to me cool enough to get decent results

Nevertheless to buy a programmer and spend lots of money just to try up one bad jala a bit might even spoil the short life this thing probably have even more
Which look to me the same choice as doing business with BFL.

remember you ordered for 4.5Gh/s for older order and new order after April 1st is 5.0Gh/s.

810  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [HOWTO] flash your jalapeno to 8+ ghs on: July 09, 2013, 03:36:04 PM
Would this device be suitable for reprogramming the Jalapeno?

http://www.amazon.com/SparkFun-Bus-Pirate/dp/B004G2F6H0

There is even an alternate firmware available which makes it a STK500 v2 AVR programmer clone.

you better get Avrdragon work with Avr Studio 6.0+ and you wont get more headache with it.

site is back up at this form of url: https://megabigpower.com/shop/

please bear with me as we get it to behave under all the other combos you could enter...

Dave

Miner starter kit with August delivery is a lot cheaper than the October delivery?
[/quo

I think Aug delivery support to be 1850US and for Oct delivery support to be 1300US or maybe I wrong.

ps: check post #170

815  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open on: July 08, 2013, 10:25:27 PM
Hi, were there any hash boards available to add to the "starter kit"?  Or just the ones that Ship in October?

I put the individual H-boards under "DIY" thinking people would want them standalone to play with.  I'll add it to the Kits category too.

The way these work is this:
M-board is master power backplane.  Also provides a way for the rPi controller to talk to the boards.  M-boards come with the starter kit.  You can order additional H-boards individually as you have the funds - up to 16 boards per M.  Thats about 250 - 300w against your PSU.  Its one USB/Ethernet to the rPi and thats it.

Going this route means you will buy additional H-boards in October.  We have reserved a certain amount of M's and H's for the full kit order (August delivery).

Hi Dave, this sounds awesome!
Do we need soldering/electronics knowledge to assemble the kits? For what I have read they are "plug & play" and we just need to add a PSU, am I right? Fans as well? They are standalone right?
Thx for your time.

All you is psu and maybe fan for cooling chips.

818  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open on: July 08, 2013, 07:28:09 PM
You should only accept BTCitcoin

WOW

you just totally ignored me

If they only accepted BTC, then only those who already have the mining power to get bitcoins would be able to buy. this way those of us who are new get a chance to start. and don't suggest exchanges, 1. it makes the costs higher paying the exchange and, 2. it isn't exactly easy to do in the USA at the moment. you can keep your elitist view.

+1
