801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Official Lamborghini for bitcoin thread! on: July 17, 2014, 12:51:33 PM
Congratulations on your car, but threads like this insinuate the pyramid scheme reputation that bitcoin has Sad
"Look, I have a Lambo! Buy in and you can also someday own a Lambo!". Most of the pyramid scheme resembling businesses operate like this, with early adopters talking about their cars and villas during presentations. So, enjoying your bitcoin wealth with a little subtlety wouldn't hurt Smiley

Except in Goat's case we all know that he made his money with investments. BTW: He was one of the few passthroughs of the thief Pirate that actually made it right with the community. I think the point is that if you use your brain, a little skill, and some luck you can also buy in to Bitcoin and make a fortune with it. You must be willing to apply yourself (start a business, invest, etc.).

What is having a good brain if not the luck of being born with good genetics, the right wirings to come up with thinks that have never been though before and so on? It's ALL mostly luck to hit wealthy status, let's be serious here for a sec.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Official Lamborghini for bitcoin thread! on: July 17, 2014, 12:49:40 PM
Thanks for the daily reminder of not buying Bitcoin when it was cheap back in the day. Will the suicidal thoughts subside some day?  Cry
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Island on: July 17, 2014, 12:48:31 PM
Im pretty sure the Winklevii could buy several islands, create a village and give people jobs were everyone gets paid on Bitcoin, it would be mostly a tourism resort. Fuck, if I was rich I would have too many ideas, too bad I missed the motherfucking boat Cheesy  Cry
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who wants more bitcoin expansion locally + a job on: July 17, 2014, 12:47:14 PM
Most people around here that have business are of certain age (40+) these guys have a hard time understanding what the fuck im talking about when I try to get em on Bitcoin. On my dorm tho we are like 50 students on the building and i've gotten a lot into bitcoin, this forum and some of them even are trying to buy some machines to mine, even tho I told them it's pretty pointless at this point. It's really hard for most people tho, to grasp the concept of Bitcoin unless they are somewhat familiar with technology. For some reasons they just cant get it, and think they'd rather stick to fiat.
805  Other / Meta / Re: How do you Hero members of this forum feel when you look newbies! on: July 17, 2014, 12:26:03 PM
Not much, as i've been here for ages and never even owned 1 entire BTC lol. Also, not even Hero member yet. It takes so looong.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you only buy with bitcoin? on: July 17, 2014, 12:10:24 PM
I don't know, probably you should head off to Silk Road Smiley
But the cool think about buying with Bitcoin is the p2p experience without any taxes or middle involved. Of course, most people don't want to buy shit with BTC because they are scared to spend it now as it may go higher in the future. This is a problem. The only people doing steady BTC buys are I think, people that is rich on BTC.
807  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: July 17, 2014, 12:35:50 AM

808  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: July 17, 2014, 12:06:19 AM
The only series i've bothered to follow is the Walking Dead. Might start with Breaking Bad since everyone doesn't shut up about it.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: --* Monero Community Hall of Fame *-- on: July 16, 2014, 10:51:39 PM
I've been supporting this coin a lot. I was here since the first day, but I remember, my bad luck as always made me buy at the top, so I own like 60 XMR Sad
I can't afford any additional XMR neither can I donate. Im going to try buying more. Of course I didnt had enough to buy before the expect jump in price. It's still ridiculously low tho.
810  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 16, 2014, 10:20:43 PM
So im going to click on collect payment and I see "Link to Enrollment post ", so do I leave this blank? This is definitely a bit confusing.
Also it says: "Remove all spam/off topic posts from this number or potentially be disqualified."
Does this mean posts in the off-topic section do not count?
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Less than 1 in 7000 people in the world own at least 0.01 BTC! on: July 16, 2014, 10:13:43 PM
The bigger problem is that 1% holds 99% of all BTC so they have too much power. Its the same like with FIAT.
This is not a problem.

How it isn't? If they have the same evil intentions as the big FIAT holders of today, we are still screwed. Of course they couldn't (in principle) modify the way Bitcoin works, or could they? (by bribing the developers or whatever). There's also the posibility that big FIAT holders with evil intentions bribe the big BTC stakeholders for more FIAT, power, influence etc.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: July 16, 2014, 10:08:18 PM
I sold some gold the other day, just little chain my mom had. I had to just to pay the bills. They gave me like 280€. Pretty fucking depressing that you are forced to sell things with sentiental value just to not be kicked out.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: www.crycurex.com - exchange for sale on: July 16, 2014, 10:00:13 PM
What are the monthly costs of running an exchange like this vs one of the bigger exchanges like poloniex?
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS] 250 BitcoinDark for 1BTC on: July 16, 2014, 09:57:46 PM
0.004btc per BitcoinDark ?
my price was before it hit the exchange, but the stuped dumpers just mine and dump so they keep price low

Lol, shit happens within the free crypto market, why would anyone just not buy it cheap off exchanges tho? What is BitcoinDark beyond another P&D? Does it do anything relevant? Im honestly too frustrated with alt coins to even click on the thread.

817  Economy / Economics / Re: Spain confiscates 0.03% of all bank deposits. on: July 16, 2014, 03:42:02 PM
It's really time that people see the benefit of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin solves nothing without a change in politics. Also, we have the big problem of automation, more and more and more jobs get automated, so more and more and more ridiculous ways to counterfeit this are created. Not everyone can be a technician, and there will always be people coming from even poorer countries willing to work for peanuts, so the only solution for these that aren't lucky enough to be born with the genetics that it takes to become something like an engineer or are born in a well off family, is to deal with it and work for shitty pay that will gradually get shittier. Even if you were to ask for some help no one is going to help you with shit. Bitcoin rich people are the same as fiat people after all. I've been here for a year and i've never had a full BTC yet. Most people are struggling, how can BTC help if they can't pay the bills. The problem with this is the people. We need better politics and a change of mentality, not fucking minijobs. I support Bitcoin because it's a very interesting piece of tech but Bitcoin alone does nothing if the people remain the same. I can barely pay the bills, if I tell people they'll just tell me "work harder", or "move" (implying I can even pick up the local train let alone move to other countries) and all that shit that doesn't apply in the real world when you are on a dead end situation.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Spain confiscates 0.03% of all bank deposits. on: July 16, 2014, 03:35:37 PM
Hi, I live there( i live in a dorm and i know a lot of other people interested in Bitcoin, even tho they are all new thus they barely have any, like me). I even did a presentation, talked about Bitcoin, the community etc.
This is in principle done to help certain local councils with the debts. It's all a joke, our beloved goverment has stimated in 0.03% the tax on the bank deposits. Pretends to get 375 million out of it..

They even laugh at us saying that the banks will pay it, as if they wouldn't put the weight on us in form of commisions or lower interests for our savings.

Also be sure that this 0.03% will do nothing but keep growing.
819  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 16, 2014, 02:57:26 PM
I think stunna should do a thread where we can report members taking advantage of boost post counting Is see even a trusted member doing it.  5 to 6 word posts, and i mean alot of them in one day, not even constructive, how can we report this?

If people wont mind there business I can play games too and you know who you are, so if I were you, you should delete your so many non constructive posts.

But that doesn't necessarly mean this person will report said short messages. One is still free to post whatever they want, if they do report these 6 word messages as valid messages then that's it. I usually never post simple messages because it's just not my style.
820  Other / Off-topic / Re: When the Aliens ultimately invade Earth on: July 16, 2014, 02:51:29 PM
I'm pretty sure there won't be an Earth after that.

Legit. I think the same and so does Stephen Hawkin. They would see us as literally insects and resources Sad

Or maybe they are beings full of love  Huh
