I think this should be in the meta section, not sure. Or maybe off topic. But to me, I don't really notice. It's just some small text next to the hero's name.

I'm not sure if this is the right part of the forum for this. One needs to know that being a Hero member doesn't necessarily mean that one owns a lot of coins. On the other hand:

I like it when they get it. I help when they don't. I dislike it when they think Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme. I can't stand it when they are rude, demanding, or entitled. I hate it when they think Bitcoin requires no work.

I agree. There's just too many people coming here and screaming to know how they can mine to get rich, and it isn't. It is an amazing concept and technology, destined to replace fiat, and not to get rich quickly and easily. Too many newbies are coming and asking how to mine, thinking that by leaving their crappy PC on they will get rich.

I'm actually a newbie and I spent six hours on your forum and I believe that I will become a hero member soon. Hope that I will change this sweet BTC community.

I really don't think so, lol. If I did the calculation correctly, it will take you more than a year, 476-480 days. And if you're not active every week, then even more time.

Though Hero Member is still a long shot... I'll soon be a Sr. Member. But I want to reply your question from a reverse angle. I clearly remember when I was a newbie there was newbie jail. We could not post everywhere...
Another newbie posted in Beginners & Help how he is feeling helpless about his coins stolen. If there is something can be done at the protocol to get his coins back ? I saw how Hero Members ridiculed him for being noob !!!
After a few months, Mt. Gox declared they have lost coins because of transaction malleability and I saw those Hero Members are suggesting in Development & Technical Discussion section that if something can be done at protocol level to get the coins back ?
It reminds me, how spineless are some of the long timers.
p.s. Now, dont generalize things like this for Hero Members. There are also people like Danny Hamilton, Death&Taxes, BurtW, Gweedo and others who are very helpful at the time of technical problems...

It really depends: newbies are a mixed bunch. Sometimes I see new users who genuinely try to learn and ask for such info politely. Some even spend some time reading, researching before asking questions and I respect these kind of people. I've seen newbies who know even more about Bitcoins then your regular seasoned member (be it a Hero or a Senior member). However, nowadays, as Bitcoin is getting more and more exposure and consequently - popularity (which is a positive thing nonetheless ) I see much more new members coming in, who feel as if they are the centre of the world and always try to make sure everybody knows it . Then there's those who have absolutely no idea of how Bitcoin works, yet they criticize it when they lose their wallet, bitcoins, etc. The least desirable bunch is the ones I constantly need to moderate, warn and nuke. When I became a patroller (site-wide moderator of Newbies) I never thought I'd encounter so many of these kind of members. I guess exposure and popularity brings in a mixed crowd.

Some newbies are just as knowledgeable and wealthy as some hero members. Some hero members have not had any real wealth because most sold their coins way before they become this value.

I don't feel anything, I just click the "Report to moderator" button whenever someone without an avatar posts. I used to only report the gypsy with the anal porn star avatar, but she went away and I'm terribly bitter over it.

Guess you'd be reporting my posts over and over then . Some newbies are just as knowledgeable and wealthy as some hero members. Some hero members have not had any real wealth because most sold their coins way before they become this value.
Some just didn't have that many to start with, however many do earn some knowledge along the way.

Honestly, I don't have a problem with Newbies which use their brain, common sense and problem solving skills. Those who don't have a clue and expect everyone to bow down to them really annoy me.

1. Not all Heros are rich.
I personally don't care if you're newbie, if I can't understand what you're saying and it makes no sense, I'm calling it out.

Well seeing as I'm just noticing that I'm a hero member, I guess I feel the same. Normally newbie posts are just spam, or questions asked every single day for the past 1000 days.
