801  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC with NO hologram, in very good conditions on: March 13, 2018, 01:07:46 AM
I have received a 0.7 BTC via PM, noted and confirmed.

I'd sell ASAP at that price, not sure if you're expecting higher?   Huh

I second that sentiment. When I first saw that I was taken aback but then again it’s been a while since one last sold on here. BTC has been pretty turbulent as of late but that’s as good an offer as you’re going to get IMO so I’d accept if I were you.

@OP there’s a small ignore button alongside every post (just below the poster profile and trust). That should help prevent you seeing irrelevant comments. Good luck with the auction Smiley
805  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Crypto Grotto - Kialara, CI, Lealana, Satori+... on: March 08, 2018, 01:57:57 AM
Lealana's have sold  Shocked OP has been updated. Don't miss out. Send me a PM if you're interested in any coins Smiley
806  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Garlicoin Physical Storage [Free template] - Garlicard on: March 07, 2018, 01:25:19 AM
These are neat AT101ET, thanks for sharing!  I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has a card printer that would be willing to make a few without the QR codes, as is?

No problem at all. Better that someone uses it than no one at all.
If there is anyone on here then I’d like to get a few myself. I’d be prepared to pay too for a few (the companies here in the UK have minimum orders of 250 and although they only come to (about) $2.5 each its beyond what I need myself  Cheesy

Is there any telegram or discord group for this?
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best safe for storing Bitcoin paper wallets? on: March 05, 2018, 05:17:42 PM
One could suggest a safety deposit box in the bank but at the end of the day, you shouldn't trust anyone with your money. I'd keep it at home. Ledger nano S is safe enough and If it works like Trezor, If someone try the wrong PIN multiple times, the device will get wiped out so no one get access to the funds and as for the paper wallet, just encrypt it (strong password) and then print it, don't be paranoid.

The ledger is great but what happens if someone finds your recovery phrase just lying around? Your ledger could wipe itself but you'd still lose all your coins.
The recovery card is basically a paper wallet in itself. I personally wouldn't put them in a safe as doing so would just bring attention to the fact that you've got something in there clearly worth storing. I'd say you'd be better off hiding them in plain view...
809  Economy / Collectibles / Garlicoin Physical Storage [Free template] - Garlicard on: March 05, 2018, 05:11:01 PM
Hey,

I was working on a form of physical storage for Garlicoin following its release, but seeing as I don't have the time to continue to pursue it, I feel like sharing it here is the only right thing to do.
Due to the nature of the card (small detail/print), some standard printers won't be able to bring out all the card details but there are some that might (I've been told that the higher end ID card printers would).
I opted to go for a small denomination of GRLC but feel free to change it as you please. (I have attached a download link to the ai file below).

I feel like its a shame to let this go unused so low and behold, I present to you all... The Garlicard!
The inner lines on the reverse and obverse are meant to serve as guides for the key placement (private and public) whilst the outer lines/borders are meant to help the placement of a scratch off panel and clear plastic sticker for the public key/QR code. There is a standard square hologram scratch off panel available cheaply online that fits the card well.

Feel free to post any questions, hate, love or both.
If anyone does go about making some of these for themselves then I'd love to see a picture or two (the ones I printed didn't come out 100%).

Here's a mockup for reference.

It’s cold and snowing. As good a time as any to buy some coins for your collection Smiley
811  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Special Auction for 5x Denarium Custom Silver Coin on: March 01, 2018, 10:38:18 AM
Love the design. What’s the small design under the .999 silver mark?
812  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Considering selling a 5BTC and 1BTC Casascius and want some advice... on: February 26, 2018, 03:00:50 PM
2013 1 btc for 1.15?  SODL

If you can do that shipped to me... I'll take it Grin

Also... is that a booger below the "N" in numeris?

I think OP is saying 1.15 is the current peel value so he’d expect offers above that (at the minimum).
813  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Considering selling a 5BTC and 1BTC Casascius and want some advice... on: February 26, 2018, 01:40:00 PM
Tricky situation you’ve got yourself.
The Cas singles demand a decent premium (above peel value) due to the high demand.
The 5’s are popular too but you can expect there to be a smaller pool of potential customers. As such, expect premiums to differ somewhat. Most collectors don’t give much attention to the random forked coins on there and don’t value them much, therefore, when deciding on a premium, little attention is paid to the forked coins values (seeing as most collectors won’t be interested in buying to peel).
That said, you may be able to find a premium a little above FV although by how much I’m not too sure.
Your best bet would be to start an auction at FV (with all the forked coins) and see where that takes you.

P.S add some NSFW tags to the pics. That nickel looks sweet AF!

How much for the post fork roll bud?

I’ll PM you. Had an offer already but thinking an auction may be a smarter move Smiley
816  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Crypto Grotto - Kialara, CI, Lealana, Satori+... on: February 24, 2018, 07:18:55 PM
Sorry my offer wasn’t serious enough for you to even muster a reply.... how about you let us know what you’d like to get for your coin.  I understand I’m new on here, but I just don’t understand why you don’t either auction them or put a number on them?  This whole make me an offer thing just so you can hand out snide comments when they are not to your liking seems like an absolute waste of time and kind of uncalled for.  I’m not trying to be a d**k but that’s how some of you über eliteists treat us new guys for not knowing as much as you.  How about helping educate?.... god forbid you share some of that knowledge!  Just my two cents.

Firstly, I have stated some fixed prices for a number of the coins that I’m selling.
There are a few, however, that have not had any comparable sales on the forum as of late, making pricing them a little difficult. Asking for offers is the best way to go about selling them, as an auction could result in the coin being undersold (as per my personal expectations). If I were to place a fixed price on said coin (which could be a lot higher than most would be willing to pay, I wouldn’t get any serious offers at all). That leaves me with little choice other than allowing users to make an offer. I’m not selling as if this was a clear out, but rather, selling if the price is right.

With regards to the coin you were after, your offer (at the time) was 1.3 LTC (equivalent to $286) which is a little over a $20 premium given the coin is graded (not to mention the MS-67 for an ‘early’ grading score). At the last auction for a similar coin (MS-67), LTC was at $320 a piece and the coins sold for 3.5 LTC each.
I hope that explains why I felt your offer didn’t warrant a reply. I understand there may be a little confusion and misunderstanding especially with new buyers (we were all there once) but a little bit of research is somewhat expected too.

Hope that clears up any doubts.

So by that logic, all loaded coins that where sold when BTC was 20k should still have that value right? even tho BTC has gone down?

This is BITCOINTALK not USDtalk, so why are you even taking into accountant USD :Huh

No. My point was clearly meant to illustrate that even when BTC was at a higher value (in terms of USD), high premiums were being paid, and now, following the decrease in USD terms, the offer didn’t even cover the same crypto premium. Pretty simple to understand. I’m not focusing my price on the USD aspect but rather demonstrating what kind of premium I would expect (in LTC terms).

Instead of continuously *attempting* to troll on threads here, perhaps go about sorting your own sh*t out. I like how the not USDtalk comment comes from someone who bases their auction on USD prices and clearly states in their auction terms that:

If BTC goes up between the time you send the BTC and the time the raffle goes off, you get a refund. If BTC goes down and the auction if filled you are required to pay more so your total spot per ticket equals $9.5
817  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coins Dilemma... on: February 22, 2018, 07:21:29 PM
I was aware of that, I will admit however that I mispronounced Casascius horribly bad for about six months until I watched a youtube video of his.  This was a couple years ago however still embarrassing.

Same here.  That second "a" is easy to skip over.

More like "Casascius Noob"

"Casacius" Noob would be funny.

When were these graded?
819  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Crypto Grotto - Kialara, CI, Lealana, Satori+... on: February 21, 2018, 03:56:54 PM
Added some additions and changes to OP. Another coin has sold. If you’re interested in anything then send me a PM Smiley
820  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Silver on: February 21, 2018, 09:43:09 AM
What do you offer for these:

1 oz Silver Coin Australian Kangooroo and ELIZABETH II by Perth Mint 2016year 99.99% Fine Silver

Based on the original post I’d assume OP is willing to pay spot price.
