801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: January 12, 2017, 01:35:37 PM
Considering recent market events: first huge pump and later Chinese's investors panic caused by their central bank attempt to curb bitcoin trading.
I have to say that the biggest bitcoin disadvantage is not some inherent bitcoin property or feature, these can be updated and upgraded, but rather lack of proper acceptance, laws and regulations.

It is not good when people start to panic at first sign of government interference.
802  Economy / Speculation / Re: Once we hit $1000, how far will BTC drop? on: January 12, 2017, 01:22:37 PM
So we can now thank Chinese for centralized mining farms and intense price roller-coaster from time to time.
What is more surprising for me is that Chinese investors are so scared of Forex management and AML policies being checked out by central bank, that they liquidating their holdings.

What are they really afraid of?
803  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC ever reach 1000 again? on: January 12, 2017, 12:57:19 PM
We need to remember that huge part of bitcoin price is in our mind. Psychology of the crowd was always the most important factor influencing the price.
So I am quite used to seeing this kind of FUD about bitcoin failing. There is even site called Bitcoin Obituaries where you can read all unfavorable reviews that bitcoin failed and soon will be gone.

Don't believe in this, if bitcoin price is low right now then it means that it is time to buy.
804  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I found an exploit. Where to sell? on: January 12, 2017, 12:47:33 PM
Let's make it clear. Maybe I didn't understand Op correctly. You found security flaw of bitcointalk and now you want to sell for money?
Or you were talking about some other generic exploit of other service? The best way is always telling the owner... even if you won't profit much from it.

If we are talking about bitcontalk then the best way IMO is sharing this bug with theymos -
you will be rewarded with special badge, visible above your avatar and will most likely receive positive trust rating from staff members.
Maybe there is even bounty for safely sharing a security flaws? I am not sure.
805  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What Computer Games You Wish to Buy with BTC cheaper? on: January 12, 2017, 12:38:22 PM
I am very familiar with gaming business, so I might be able to suggest thing or two:

1. Op, you know that Steam is accepting BTC directly? Also huge game trading platforms like G2A or Kinguin are in play. Do you think that you will offer something more that these?
You will need to lower the price or entice people with some kind of promotion. It is hard when market is saturated.

2 Forget about old school paperbox distribution system. Focus only on digital versions of games. It is cheaper, easier and more effective way.

808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your new year start in gambling! on: January 09, 2017, 06:48:49 AM
I am afraid that I can't say that I enjoyed this new year 2017 much, at least not gambling wise. Last week was a total disaster for me. My win/lose ratio dropped to staggering 80% of loses.
Prior to that I was pretty much on a winning side with nice profits. Now I lost every penny a made in last month and big part of my initial bankroll.
809  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can someone provide a legit site for me to play? on: January 09, 2017, 06:25:22 AM
Easy to deposit,
fast payouts,
easy navigation structure/interface,
etc.

Try fortune jack. I've been playing there since the start.

It's fast.
Well made website.
Easy to deposit and withdraw.
Plenty of games to play.
Has faucets.
Great support.
Nice bonuses.
One of the most trusted casinos today.
Where exactly is faucet located on fortunejack's site? I don't see it and I can't find it, it must have been hidden deep in some menu, or I am blind.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and which part of day do you gamble? on: January 08, 2017, 09:58:23 AM
I don't have specific gambling schedule. Time of day or date doesn't really matter. But I gamble when I feel like doing so, usually late afternoon or at night.
I might gamble everyday or I might not touch any game for a month, depends. However I don't play on mobile, as I still prefer the comfort of big screen and comfy chair over mobility.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do they payout bigger wins at Sports.betcoin.ag on: January 08, 2017, 09:47:04 AM
We all know this case when betcoin.ag refused to credit huge progressive slots jackpot. But the question was about their sportsbook.
And I personally never heard of any case where they refused to honor lucky bet, mainly because of limits. So most likely they wouldn't have a problem with it.

But considered their shady behavior I wouldn't recommend playing on their site at all, there are better sportsbooks you can chose from:
Sportsbet.io, directbet.eu, nitrogensports.eu and more.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin exceed its all-time-high of almost $1300 in the near future? on: January 08, 2017, 09:28:57 AM
Innate volatility of bitcoin is one thing. But it seems that it is not the biggest problem for bitcoin on the way of reaching new ATH.
We entered the phase where bitcoin is being influenced by politics, hidden agenda of miners, ulterior motives of developers and more.
Some examples: scaling debate, SegWit and Lighining Network debate - what is true Bitcoin, what isn't?, and the most important Chinese Government influence.
As it seems that rumors of China new bitcoin legislation project caused latest bitcoin race to end prematurely.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best BTC poker site right now since fortunejack is down? on: January 07, 2017, 04:35:18 AM
My rank is first is betcoin, second is nitrogensports poker, fortunejack is 3rd one. Betcoin's VIP program is addictive.
It is amazing how some people can't even read/understand thread's title (I am not even talking about reading op!) and still post Smiley

Anyway have anyone of you actually tried Bovada poker, or should I say Ignition Poker, since they bought Bovada out?

From what I see, it is some major poker site, mainly fiat based, but Bitcoin payments are possible.

814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Advertising on: January 07, 2017, 04:16:34 AM
To this day I think dogecoin still holds the crown of best advertising campaigns of any altcoin, and that's kind of sad since there are much bigger coins now and it wouldn't be that hard to do.
Sometimes you don't need to be totally original with your marketing strategies. You don't need to send people to the orbit to catch people's attention.

Simple methods are often the best - Bitcoin Pizza was good example of good marketing, people talk about this event to this day, there is even Bitcoin Pizza Day celebration.

You know what altcoins are not advertised in real life (billboards on the streets, promotional events, commercials on TV etc.)?

For the same reason you won't see Lamborghini or Ferrari commercials on TV.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino - Players favorite 2017 on: January 07, 2017, 03:49:33 AM
I thought about the points Op mentioned as the most important features of online casinos. Mainly about "Licensed Casinos" advantages.

As I see it: most (if not every single one of them) online casinos had license issued by some exotic country like Curacao, Costa Rica or Kahnawakee - as these licenses are the easiest and cheapest to obtain.

These are next to worthless these days, totally meaningless for everyone who is not citizen of these countries. As every country handles gaming legislation differently.

I have a question for you guys, have you ever seen online bitcoin casino with license issued by Alderney, the UK or Gibraltar? Note: these are not trash tier, virtual licenses.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: January 07, 2017, 03:23:55 AM
Gambling is a hobby/entertainment and should be treated as such. It is not even good way to earn money/become rich.

I have seen plenty of ultra rich people with more money I will earn during my lifetime gambling like crazy. I bet they lost way more than they won...
817  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can I sell on coinbase. on: January 07, 2017, 03:06:12 AM
If you already own bitcoins then you can do whatever you want with them. Share it with people, store it for later or sell to whoever is willing to buy them.
Coinbase is one of the biggest trading platform - but it is not the only place where you can sell your BTC.
There are multiple bitcoin exchanges available in the US: Gemini, Kraken, BitStamp to name a few and p2p trading platforms (localbitcoins, paxful) where you can sell it as well.
This process is fully legal and you probably won't pay any taxes (IRS doesn't care about small fries) as long as you have only couple hundreds worth BTC.
818  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-06] - China's Central Bank Issues Warnings to Major Bitcoin Exchanges on: January 07, 2017, 02:52:39 AM
This meeting was nothing official, no resolution of any kind was discussed. It looks like Chinese banking officials heard about bitcoin price surge and tried to react to in some way.

What they said: "Bitcoin is not a currency and shouldn't be viewed as such. Those who invest in bitcoin should accordingly be aware of the risks it poses and protect their investment."

Thanks for reminding us, and now please take care of your business and we take of ours.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Because house/bookie always wins on: January 06, 2017, 02:57:35 AM
Prince V, I got the impression that you are very knowledgeable about bookmaking.
So why you want to help people create their business when you may establish the best sportsbook yourself and be that profitable owner you talked about?
By owning good sportsbook you won't have to sell your "bookmaker creator service" anymore. Who would want to create competition for himself?
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins and Online Gaming on: January 06, 2017, 01:56:36 AM
The only good idea is when someone will create unified altcoin used and accepted by majority of the titles on the market.
Creation of altcoin for every title is pointless. It is literally waste of time, that gaming altcoin at this point will be nothing but glorified name for the ingame currency used by every game.

You want to have successful gaming altcoin? There are 2 ways to achieve that:

1. Create killer game, something that will have AAA quality and will become insanely popular as a result - popularity of altcoin will follow.
2. Create amazing altcoin which is not linked to any specific game. A Generic GameCoin and try to talk to the developers whether they will include it in their games.
