I didn't know I had become such an indicator, but since you seem so convinced, perhaps you should also load up on VIOR, SEED, BYC, NAUT, VRC, SFR, and a few others IN ADDITION to VIA. Other than that and being that this is a SELF-MODERATED thread, I post here quite sparingly... when at all. Technologically, this project is indeed interesting but, unfortunately, that's the only part -and by far not the most important in my view- that is. All the rest, quite frankly and for lack of a better word, sucks... hmm now based on that list of coins above, i'm not convinced anymore you're such a good indicator  so, techno part it's absolutely true that VIA have it... but could you list the points you mean by "All the rest... sucks" ? let's turn this comment you made in a positive one, where someone or the community can start to work on. thanks |

Yes I still do these, we are on target for the new app release, should be done on Sunday, and released next Monday.
I think I mentioned this on IRC already but gnargnar was not around to remind me about the forum.

one page back, i said i wasn't even able to use the latest wallet.. and many others, like Levole11 said above, are having also issues. i don't know why you say there isn't bugs..  I think your wallet issues is associated with the language pack, maybe the charset, in the path I see a "é" maybe the wallet is not able to decode. However Chinese or other countries didn't report this issue. so, do you mean that Vior isn't made for those speaking french? that's the first wallet i'm installing that gives me that error |

with the features listed we just need a way to fund the gateway without using an exchange.... screw thinking of this as an altcoin atm, its a telcom business with the added ability to use your credits as an alternate currency. as far as i know your the only one with this specific problem, just try removing the old file and redownloading it, make sure you use the link for the newest windows 7 wallet
I did, same problem. i will try the lite wallet, but then, i won't be able to use vior calls edit : i am trying now the windows wallet for "Windows XP or older version" and it seems to work... wallet is starting and blockchain being downloaded... once fully dl'ed, i will try to replace with the newest wallet.. |

i am using windows 7 family edition premium in french. service pack 1. first thing to try is to save your wallet.dat, and then to uninstall and redownload the newest wallet. if that doesnt work try running in admin mode this seems like a problem with your initial download though. it's a fresh new wallet dowload and install.. there isn't even a wallet.dat file being created yet before i get the error.. wallet doesn't even start.. it looks like it is a wallet compiled/build with a wrong or non-compatible version of 32bit berkeley db it's been a while i'm following vior and it's at least 1 month ago that i've submitted this bug to dev, but yet there isn't a fix... and of what i can read, there is a lot of bugs and fixes to make on that vior wallet, as well as some updates to be done on both the official website, forum, bct ann op.... i would like to believe, but it's hard when i can't even use the wallet, no? |
