If money was no issue i would 100% still gamble just for fun though cause gambling can be fun when your not trying to kill the casino
Me too I will gamble too but sometimes I will buy some my wants in my life. Gambling is fun especially in casino with my co worker and my friends. Yeah, Gambling can definitely be a good source of entertainment. Money on the line does make it a bit more exciting though lol.

I would say alex is doing right thing here !
To anyone who trusts bdonlan please let me tell you why Alex blocked his money, basically long story short " bdonlan is a hacker and hacked Alex earlier and then tried to extort money out of him, which rightly so Alex denied." End here ... NO ! The same guy now returns to bitdice and now he gambles there, since it's confirmed that its the same guy, should he not be punished ?
I think that we don't need to talk about this issue here, in this thread, anymore. There is an open Scam Accussation thread about this, so anyone who wants to share his opinion and speak his mind, can do it there. So, any news about new promos/ giveaways? I'm looking forward to seeing that Treasure Chests feature coming out as well as blackjack which should both be coming pretty soon.

Yep, just remember that Replace by Fee is opt-in so you won't be able to do it unless the original transaction was marked as a RBF transaction.

Also newer version of Electrum contain a lot of bug fixes and improvements. Unfortunately, it is up to Tails OS to include a newer version if you are using this Operating System. I already see someone posted a recent issues to their bugtracker such as https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/12323I'd recommend contacting the operators of this Operating System and requesting they bundle the latest release of Electrum.

The beginners section of the forum is definitely a good place to start. To learn more about bitcoin wallets, the https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0 thread is a good read. Definitely do your research and be cautious to avoid getting scammed.

I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to do but normally multisig addresses start with a 3 and normal addresses start with a 1.
Are you trying to receive coins to Electrum or send them to another address? You may wish to try the desktop version of Electrum instead of the Android one as the user interface is likely a bit better. You can retrive private keys by right clicking on an address in the Addresses tab and selecting the appropriate option.
|
|
|
Be sure to also download the latest version of Electrum which uses Dynamic Fees by default to prevent sending low fees like this.

Mining with a normal PC will likely not yield any significant rewards. If you want to mine BTC, you really need a dedicated ASIC to generate returns.
You might have better luck mining some altcoins for profit with your GPU, but I am not sure which ones would be best to focus on at the current time.

I definitely recommend using the Electrum wallet. Ever since Blockchain.info changed their UI, I haven't been a fan. If you want a simplistic wallet, it will work, but if you want more complete control I definitely recommend something like Electrum. With Electrum, you can control which addresses you send funds from and it has better fee estimation with the Dynamic Fees feature which is now enabled by default in new versions.

If a user has a pre-version 2.8 wallet that they wish to remain encrypted, that currently contains BTC and/or transactions are anticipated to be received by addresses within the wallet, how upgrading to 2.8 affect their wallet? Will they need to keep this wallet unencrypted in order to spend BTC in that old wallet?
Remain encrypted or remain unencrypted? Upgrading a pre-version 2.8 wallet will remain in an unencrypted state initially. If you change the password to the wallet, then the entire wallet will become encrypted. Upgrading shouldn't lead to any issues with spending funds.

There was a nice sized win of 100btc on 2x earlier nearing the max profit. What a sight to see and congrats to the user who won it!

Wow thst picture with 00 as a loss ?? What's going on ? I dont think telling BIM not to bet what he can't afford to lose since he bet 200 satoshi. Also dont see why a casino owner would not just pay thst out. I also find it hard to believe that the computer said 00 was a failed bet. Surely more people would have this ?
I tested and was unable to reproduce the error. I rolled at 1% and rolled a 0 and it won. His screenshot deliberately hides the betid, so we can't check whats going on. It's most likely a fake screenshot as it's extremely easy to make it look like he lost on <1 with a 0. It also doesn't show his most recent bet on the top bar so this does look like it is likely faked or altered in some way.

They have the quick the fast options and all. Why is shapeshift different from any other altcoin exchange? I don't know what is different about it. Can someone please elaborate?
Shapeshift isn't really an exchange. You can't set up buy/sell orders etc with Shapeshift like you can on an exchange. They simply provide a way to quickly exchange coins between different altcoins but you usually will pay a higher markup when using a service like this versus a normal an exchange.

I recommend setting up a SSH key and disabling password based authentication within SSH. This will greatly help prevent any unauthorized access via brute force attempts.

It definatly went out again on its own, or atleast seems that way to me and there is no possibility that someone else did it, I'm secure and no one in my home has any idea about BTC. It was originally sent on the 6th, rejected by node on blockchain and then showed as an confirmed credit back to my wallet, then today when I woke up I found this https://blockchain.info/tx/030610501cd09ebef50efccb23a5ef1c0e76f7be15da740851a1599381940e4dMy balance now shows 0 Was it the same original transaction you sent or did the coins get sent to a new address? It is possible that your original transaction simply confirmed after being rebroadcasted if they went to the same addresses that you were originally sending to.

Yeah, I would just focus on ensuring you have a proper backup of the seed.
If you backup private keys, you would need the private key for every address that has funds which could be a lot with change addresses, etc. Using the seed ensures that you can restore the entire wallet and all addresses and is the best method.

|
Firstly, the Bitcoin is not actually sent back to your wallet. Your wallet just "forgets" the transaction and reverts to a state where the transaction was never sent. However, that does not mean that everyone else on the network has forgotten your transaction as well and someone could be rebroadcasting continuously.
However, there is a bigger issue here, the addresses in the transaction changing. This should not happen unless you are sending the Bitcoin again. If this is happening, that means that someone has gotten your private keys and compromised your wallet.
No, I mean that the address I was sending to changes every few days or so, not that my address changes. Yeah it wouldn't have gone out again on its own unless you ( or someone else ) sent a new transaction. Check your history and see if there was any recent transactions.

I've been using Electrum on Windows 10 without any issues for quite some time. What happens when you attempt to run it?
You may want to try removing the config file at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\config to see if a bad config file is causing your issues.
There is no Electrum folder! Maybe that's because I could never open the app (when i try to run it, that little hourglass shows up but after a few seconds desappears and nothing else happens). Yeah, it must have never run fully enough to create that folder. There was a 2.8.1 release recently with some bug fixes. I'd recommend trying that out to see if the issues persists. You may also want to try running as Admin in case its an issue with permissions or something. If the issue persists, you may want to create an issue at https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues to have the devs look into it further.

I haven't tested sending any coins to it yet, so I don't know if the send from option is back on the address tab too.
I looked on 2.8.1 and it does indeed look like you can Spend From on the Addresses tab now. Upgrade to the latest version and you should be able to do all the things you requested OP.
