801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook's Libra is being reviewed by the US government again on: December 17, 2019, 02:21:01 PM
Libra might win this and launch at the end but its yet a centralized project which is prone to manipulation either from the government or the owner. Let's not forget its going to be stable this I doubt as whales Wilma pimp it from time to time given the need for such pumps.

I've seen crypto article sites lately releasing some statement that Libra's whitepaper were revised to fit for its approval. Its possible to be approved and if ever there will lots of pumps going to happen including BTC. This isn't going to be a good news for some of the people here in bitcointalk though.

I guess the only who will be happy are the ones who does business in facebook. I myself is doing business there and I might just one day submit documents to my facebook account to make my business legal when Libra finally be on that stage.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: December 17, 2019, 01:56:36 PM

Now, most of the exchanges changed their policy for withdrawing the coin, In some cases, it is a very good choice to pass the KYC but most of the peoples' concerns is whether those exchanges will provide security to our documents because we are seeing lots of hacks.

Which is exactly the reason why I asked about that CEX policy about it. I have been long time ago, I can recover my account but it wouldn't be worth doing if I'd just be force to submit documents. Seem a reliable exchange that for a long period of time its still alive.

Daedalus for incentivized testnet staking is finally available!

https://staking.cardano.org/en/delegation/

Too bad I haven't installed daedalus before nov29 but thanks.  Would you recommend a pool or just myself staking?
803  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin could be 6000$ soon give us your opinion on: December 16, 2019, 09:28:08 PM

The bears win, I guess there will be no $10K this year end. I have a feeling that this will continue to go on even after halving. BTC is pretty much being drag to the ground and so do you think this is because of the BAKKT that seem its traders were shorting when in reality there isn't real BTC involve?  I'm curious if this is affecting the market, then there isn't really a safe market right now for any cryptocurrencies.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we buy new token or coin? on: December 16, 2019, 09:08:08 PM
I would buy a coin because it has some good trading volume that i know that if i invest into it at a point of a dump i am likely to gain profits from it when it rises. At some point in time, maybe you might want to use that as a form of payment for your employee if sending in bitcoins would take quite a long time.

Apparently they are talking about new token/coin which mean not yet on the exchanges but yes basically for profit is the most reason for buying. Its just investors are looking for the new projects that will potentially provide greater yields.  A new token or coin that will perform like BTC is one of a project that is good to be in your your portfolio as well. I wanted to establish a portfolio which people can see how much I have bought at the given date. Say I bought ETH at a price of less than $10 on 2016.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP BUYING BITCOIN NOW!!! This coin is crap on: December 16, 2019, 08:04:25 PM

Bitcoin is a total worthless coin that is controlled by chinese miners that hate you.

Bitcoin cant do anything that ethereum can do much better.

Bitcoin is worthless and only paid shills like tone vays or antonopulus are promoting this crap coin so you can lose your money on it.

Proove me wrong before delete my thread- and what happened to free speech bitcointalk moderators?  are you paid to be chinese?

Bitcoin isnt a coin anymore for the people but it became a chinese company

stop bitcoin now

Another attention seeker in forum,  lately,  all we see is some new accounts trying give reason why they think people should stay away from btc, i don't get why they feel the need to come here to vent there frustration about btc,
If you want to stop buying btc, you should do so quietly without publicly making so much noise about it.

It so happen that it matters to him to convince BITCOIN community not to buy bitcoin but he is an ethereum fan. There is nothing wrong with being Etehreum fan, I am an Ether fan too but I don't see why hate Bitcoin. If you are solely ETH fan, then you probably have not gone deeper into the bitcoin and how things work under its hood. Most coin supporter think the same way that its the coin they support that is far superior.

806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Spouses and Divorce on: December 15, 2019, 07:55:45 PM
If you end up divorcing your partner for whatever reason it is best to prepare the hidden assets immediately because if this is their claim then you will have to make way especially with bitcoin mixers and other wallet with no trace of transactions in your main wallet. So that she won't have half your wealth, especially if you have no children.

Wont there be sanctions to you if you are traced to have some coins you deliberately hide from your partner?  You better be good in hiding it.

I don't have issues giving away some to my partner. Installed wallet to her phone actually and send some coins to it so she can buy something out of it like mobile data. In my country we can buy mobile data with bitcoin, from then on she knew how to use wallets. I bet she already knew trading since she was asking months ago.

After divorce, you and your partner will agree to how much is to be sent to her if you both knew how much exactly is in your wallets.
807  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Scam Alert] Metamask Phishing Group. Stay safe. on: December 15, 2019, 07:31:58 PM

Just think of it that 6K of its users are going to download and signing, that's a lot of ETH wallet to login each, that's a lot of money for simply making them look legit to the users who didn't even thought their coins are unsafe. they could be doing this in social media pages to attract users to their telegram channel. I tried searching the channel but it won't come out in the searches, anyone got into the channel to warn users?
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest me some Good Altcoin for longterm Hold on: December 15, 2019, 06:39:54 PM

I'm buying all of it.  Cheesy

If you have focus to invest on cryptocurrencies for long term focus then you need to choose top cryptocurrencies in the price chart because price dumping and dumping is is very usual in these coins but study growth at the end is always happen.

Kindly stay focused to litecoin ethereum monero Neo and trx. whenever I plan for long term investment I usually pick these coins at most while I'm planning for it

Its the TRX that I might wanna hold for a long time since its the cheapest among the list but while holding, I'm gonna have to stake so that its worth holding. I think its 3% a year, I'm not sure. I just check it while trading on Binance. Tried seeking an option there and found out TRX can be stake in binance.  If you have trust the exchange why not but its best to stake in your own wallet.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success factors of a project on: December 14, 2019, 07:17:45 PM

The community and the factor to encourage adoption.

There are several projects that had succeed already but weren't used still, I think this is because the adoption is just too slow compare to the developments of projects in crypto. The technical aspect is just way ahead that the current generation doesn't learn how to use it because they stray to using facebook market.   Openbazaar for example is already a success but I don't see a lot of us using it but instead new developers are trying to compete and create another when they could just create projects on top of it.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges that offers staking service on: December 14, 2019, 06:13:55 PM

For some reason there are people who actually are just storing their coins in the exchanges, its not recommended but they do it to keep it at bay ready for dumping incase they hit the target price.

In my opinion this is good to force people to treating exchanges like banks. however, you should not be keeping your coins on the exchange because leaving stakeable coins on an exchange leads to centralization of mining or staking power which is bad and counterproductive to the security principles of blockchain technology. also If the exchange gets hacked or pulls an exit scam, all your coins are gone forever.

They are not going to be forced to store coins in exchanges, its only an option for them. Probably just staking few coins would be good so it won't be one of the worse that could happen if exchange is hacked or took an exit scam.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Expectations for year 2020 on: December 14, 2019, 09:35:16 AM
So many expectation coming from different investors or even from analyst. But for I expect for another bullrun for bitcoin. All we know that all of us are hoping for the next bullrun. As a bitcoin holder I am expecting that I will earn more because bitcoin and other coin  will rise again in the year 2020.

Based on the previous bitcoin block halving, of course everyone is hoping that after the 2020 scheduled event, we will see the price goes into another meteoric rise, most likely year or two after the block halving. So I'm not expecting a huge rally in 2020, probably just a good bounce back so there's no all time highs. But 2021 will be different though, we might see some signs of the 2017 cycle again that could put the price of all crypto in ATH. So stay tune in.

The cylce is always like a year after halving price will going up. Just like the halving before which held in 2016 the price looks calm down right after the halving but the next year the price is going crazy, but it also affected by many events and the crypto hype that the media made in 2017 , every countries are banning bitcoin but the price is going crazy because people are having so much demand on it.

Its a bout to go up. in matter of days I guess the expectation will be met. It might not go high as 10K but its going there eventually by the next year. The halving price effect will start to occur. If it weren't for BAKKT that keeps suppressing the price, the bullrun may have really being to happen. It will eventually rise, it just need patience.

I have posituve expectation in next year. I think that the bearish market will end before the 2nd Quarter of the year 2020. Right now, the bitcoin is still in consolidating stage where it gaining more power. There is a possibility that the market will turn to bull if the whales will pump its price. I do not expect high because it is better if we will just focus on what's happening in the present.

The bull are already here swarming the market, bear market end long time ago.

812  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie looking for some strategic advice on: December 14, 2019, 07:49:37 AM

I would actually prefer to see some swing traders to tell you that its a better practice than being a day trader. You just have to chose which indicators best for you like using both Stochastic RSI and RSI but like me I do make trading decision base on RSI alone, few trading signals on it while there are tons with Stocahastic RSI.  There is no real strategy to make you millions, mine is just a suggestion because I'm doing it myself and win some and lose some trades.

You are right avoid Margin Trading, its for the ones with more money to spend who can afford the leverage.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Spends over 800 BTC just to Win a 5 Million Doge Bet on: December 14, 2019, 06:50:40 AM

Holycow He could have just bought the doge in the market and with less than 200BTC he could get more than 500Million of doge, no one advised to just buy instead of manipulating the market, 800+ BTC is the price to prove his analysis.  Anyway, people can do any thing with what he owns as he see fit, its his coins.
814  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: December 13, 2019, 08:11:34 PM

Been doing it thru my phone. I created a new profile on tradingview, its easy to create one anyway and then view it on the desktop, I bid on my phone in binance as I have also installed its app. This isn't hard to do actually but you'd be distracted most of the time since you are going take a peek to your phone from time to time specially if you haven't set a sell order yet.

Terrible as it may seem but if your company allowed your to use your phones in the office, you're still going to be doing things in your phone like loging to facebook.
815  Economy / Speculation / Re: whales are accumulating Bitcoin millions from binance and bittrex as well on: December 13, 2019, 07:16:12 PM
Actually it really does feel like 2015 all over again doesn't it?

Same bearish sentiment, different market structure. As they say, "history doesn't repeat but it often rhymes."

I don't think halving will have the direct impact it has had before but long term effects tend to bite in big ways down the line.

We've just had 6 months of weak downtrending so nobody should be surprised at a mid-term uptrend in Q1 next year regardless of the halving. The same thing also happened in 2012 and 2016, so there's that too.

It does feel like it had happen before, its time to just keep accumulating the top coins since its just a matter of time that we shall start seeing lots of progressive developments that will happen to which a new wave of adoption will happen and probably deployment of cryptocurrencies. The downtrend happens every time but 2016's price is too different in 2019 so it might take really long before we see price jumps in the market.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: December 13, 2019, 05:46:57 PM

Daedalus wallet didn't provide a 32bit wallet, is there any other option that we can also stake?

Yes, you'll be able to stake through the Yoroi extension. Moreover, you can also recover (testnet) funds of your Daedalus paper wallet through Yoroi for staking.

Welcome #Cardano ($ADA) on http://CEX.IO!

Deposit ADA to your http://CEX.IO account and trade ADA/USD. Or buy ADA with your Visa/Mastercard!

@CardanoStiftung

Thanks. Firefox extension would be my preference. Reviews are also good and doesn't sound like its paid. I got it installed and navigated it all but can;t find a page to where it says I can stake it there.

Been awhile since have been in CEX, how much are they allowing users to withdraw that doesn't need the KYC submission?

817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ATL] ATLANT World's Real Estate Blockchain Platform Price Speculattion on: December 13, 2019, 03:46:05 PM

Not all success is good. If the team who is not treating its promoters with integrity and decency will become successful, it will not be a good precedence. And it might be done again by the same team.

The investors will not have to worry about monthly dumping that is expected to be done by bounty hunters because the bounty hunters are not even paid. Who will get paid if the condition for the bounty hunters to be able to receive their payment is to give the Atlant team 1 ETH first? That is extremely ridiculous for any project to ask payment for the bounty hunters when in fact it is the bounty hunters themselves who should be the ones receiving the payment.

But sadly, the reality is it is always that innovators make money, even scammers and hackers make money but pigs gets slaughtered. Injustice is irrelevant in crypto space. Haven't you seen the  many people here and in crypto Twitter who made profit over the backs of many?

We've seen them all scam and teams disappear for life. Atlant team had been awhile though it took them more than a year to pay the bounty hunters they did pay which I guess they were also kept their words. They did an ICO during the time when the bull run comes so they guarded their tokens value form dumping. They did well unlike the rest which you can see might not really make it.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for legendary advertisers (payment in our token) on: December 13, 2019, 03:20:37 PM
Were looking for expert crypto marketers to help us with promotion of our blockchain focused website.

If interested, please contact us on telegram at: maars_support

Must be willing to accept payment in our token. (Our token is not on exchange & will be a utility token.)

Please contact us to discuss project, work & payment terms.
https://t.me/maars_support

You could at least give some information about the project we are supposed to advertise, and the specs on the bounty in the public so we can at least have something in writing.
There's no way i am going to pm first some random telegram account begging for some shady deal.

It is also strange that it is not on exchange. If it is a utility token, then I see no problem that it will be used on the website and traded on the exchange.

@OP - How do you want to calculate its value and the value of our work if you cannot determine the value of the token?

Its listed in CMC but there is no market for it https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/marscoin/markets/reported/

They will probably calculate the price base on this page. Its really hard to tell whether the token will have its good value whenever it got listed in the exchange. If it does have then you got lucky. But you best believe it won't have if you don't wanna risk spending time promoting them while you are not really earning thru it.

819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speculation will drive the btc ride further as always on: December 12, 2019, 07:53:40 PM
On May 2020, btc may exceed 40k.or go sub 6k. Lets wait and ride the btc coaster.

We cannot be overly optimistic and we cannot make comparisons with the past. the current price is dropping every day, the current price can't keep above $10,000 and see that there is currently Bakkt that many people (including me) believed would make the price much higher than $9000 . But the reality is that the price is not getting above $10,000.

or without New Fools, Bitcoin may drop to $zero.   Smiley

this is something very difficult to happen, especially in the very advanced adoption stage that bitcoin currently has

Bakkt were meant to stabilize the price of BTC which they are dealing fiat instead of real BTC. We can't expect the traders there to lift the price up when all that there is in bakkt are shorting for fiat. They were trying to subdue the market but when bullrun comes, probbaly after May 2020 they are going to lose money there because the real market of BTC are the exchanges where traders can actually send out the BTC going to the external wallets to our desktop wallets.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless projects! on: December 12, 2019, 06:21:21 PM

If the project weren't supported by a good amount of people in the community, you can it useless project and might not even need to be tokenized to use blockchain.  There are plenty of them in the market which is why they don't have value after its listed in one exchange.

The only reason why it got funds during the ICO is that the investors wants to profit being an early buyers and dumping right from the start is their plan.
