This conference is a huge success. I can't count how many VC company execs and decision makers at various payment companies I spoke with today. I set up more blockchain.info mobile wallets than I can count, and gave each person 0.01 BTC to get them started seeing how easy it was to use. Everyone was super interested and were brainstorming ideas on how they can use Bitcoin in their current business model. I am sure lots of new products will come into existence thanks to this conference. Does that sign say Bain Capital? Like Mitt Romney's company?

It is an admission that you accept the regulatory definition and yet plan on not willfully breaking the law.

Great job looking into that Death, That call is way to vague I would call back and ask them why they felt this way and under what laws. If they are as helpful as they seem they will be more then happy to get that information to you.

Wondering if there are any hosts out there that have ready-to-go retail sites ready to receive bitcoin. You know, just plug in your payment addresses and upload product pics etc and bob's yer uncle yer up and running?
My sister is a holistic practitioner/aromatherapist/reiki master who makes and sells her own naturopathic creams, ointments, lip balms, etc. I'm thinking I could set up a bitcoin based site and get her more business for a small cut of the profits (need to talk to her to see what her margins currently are...), but my Web-Fu is seriously weak. I have zero skill or experience in setting up a merchant site...
Glade to see this, you could get a basic website temp and then add mt.gox or bitpay buttons to it. Very easy and they have instructions on the site how to do it. Good Luck

2.9% for a discount is high yes, 30 cent per transaction is high as well. I will not discuss my fraud protection, but it is very good and I paid good money for it and I have 2 different company's. 1/8th of all orders process with out me hiting the Approve button, I review the rest, and I void many. Not only that I have a company that handles all my chargebacks. My top charge will be 8.9% I am a little lower right now to grow customer base.
This is also in the privacy/refund section

I What does authorize.net charge you? Just because I was looking at this earlier: https://stripe.com/2.9% + 30 cents per successful charge but no other fees doesn't matter what card you accept from any country Google wallet seems to be doing person 2 person transactions this month too, users upload their card funds to their wallet, send to you internally for bitcoins. Might be slightly safer than directly accepting cards though I hope your limits are very low anyways. It depends on your credit, and risk level for chargebacks. Those raters are really high they are the same as google check out, google check out is a good service, but the fee's are to high.
