Has this been resolved or any update on it?

nope not resolved but no updates either...I don't think anyone will be able to find him thou Sad
Well I am located in Germany, Berlin!
People probably do not know, that you have bought this miner for ME! So it is actually my money who got lost.
In this case I can sue the hell out of him :-)

lol more like "WE" both lost money then...just because you lost money doesn't mean i didn't too Tongue

how is it possible to geht the rejects % down?  I have now 0,4% HW but 1,3% R

you have to play around with the settings..and if your using wizkids work around your really trading hw for rejects
805  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 30, 2014, 02:30:42 AM
well by far my best result...241 with 696gh/s and .33% and .14% rejects Cheesy and this has been run for 24hrs so its solid...just in case someone calls bs here is screenshot Smiley

think i might play around more, but this time i wrote down my settings so least i'll be able to come back to it...I don't think there is room for improvement but I'm hoping for .1% hw Cheesy wishful thinking i know hehe

806  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 29, 2014, 01:06:01 AM
@Ghrindy

Is the lower spi value test the same lengh as the higher value? I'll give it a try

EDIT: tryed it for just a bit...think it made my rejects way higher...was upto 2% from .5% Think i'll stick with 3.3v spi still trying 170666hz now thou

EDIT #2: thxs ghrindy looks like 3.0v spi and 170666hz netted the the best results so far...i got .2% rejects n .29% hw gona let this run overnight n see how good it is...getting 700gh/s on 241
807  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 28, 2014, 04:23:14 PM

If the gh-speed doesnt start initially from high value, then miner settles down to lower value. This is strange but perhaps there is some "initial modification" done on cgminer that sets the rate for rest of the session.

Sometimes i have to restart like 10 times to get this "high catch" effect. Its pain to wait in between, because without delay you just get fault 96/97 on vrms. Which means restarting the miner from the page (I dont like to switch off power but had to do that some times)I always wait like at least 45 seconds if vrms have been running for a while to let them cool down.

I've noticed that too, but my unit almost does it every time...if you mess with the spi freq. that can do it i think...cause i just increased mine and it didn't do it anymore...went back to stock and it did it again...

well on 251 with oct. jup...thxs to the graph i was able to finally get the hw error down to .4% and 718-723gh/s on cgminer, bertmod says 700w same as 241, but that was before better cooling fans added...have one board at 240a :O hope it doesn't fry..and also 1 board at 200a but its at 42c Smiley Hopefully pool will report higher hash now that i got the hw % down Smiley i'll know morrow morning

ok 251 is very high for october ? Could you please tell me you spi settings with frequency ? ( screenshot please ?)

yes 251 very high...have 10 fans cooling it and still have have amps...my spi volts are 3.3 and the freq is 201442

after running it all nite...pool reported as high 723gh and cgminer avg settled at 714...thinking about trying the next step up or 261 but idk...amps are pretty high on one board

You are my hero Cheesy

1) have you changed the settings of the individual die (more volts ?) ?

2) or just general spi ? (in addition to frequency)?

3) How many amps and watts marks every single day? With a cooler master V850 can set the miner to 251 according to you?

Now I have 666 average with 231 setting  (3.3 spi and 256 k freq) with october jupiter and 4 45 degrees fans and 1 megaflow

yes i've been tuning individual dies since going on 251...been a struggle but Nil's graph has helped me tremendously...just now got it down to .38% and i hope it says that low..might be lower if i could disable the core that get 160hw errors an hr but oh well

told you my spi settings...tryed your 256k freq and i don't think it helped, but i might start trying diff. volt n freq next as i think i got the die volts locked in almost

3rd...i don't understand this question...but i'm on a 1000w seasonic plat. psu, but you might be able to swing it if you keep the vrms cool enough

810  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 26, 2014, 10:57:16 PM
I'm having a hard time getting 251 running good...had 241 running at 700gh/s with .5% hw errors...so i tried reseting volts to default and playing around with it...I'm hoping i can eventually get it running good...starting to notice 2 vrms like to drop down in amps like temen but a restart on oc'in will get them to play well...dunno if that means they are giving out to the stress or what but i hope they don't go Smiley will update after more playing...i'm on an oct. jup just incase anyone forgot...ya i don't think oct. jups will be able to oc as high as nov..not even close

I've also noticed if you play around with the volts on one module...it'll affect all modules..dunno if its just my unit or what but if i change the volts on one module...I get different hashrate/hw errors on all modules...or maybe i'm just seeing things idk hehe

october jupiter ?

you didn't read the whole post Tongue

Well thxs to Nil's help on IRC and his thread http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/main-category/main-forum/27841-0-99-x-tuning-die-tuning

I'm now able to see per die hw error n apply more volts to that trouble maker!! woot..and now playing around with volts and watching graph i guess we were seeing things cause i got one mod that doesn't have much error and hasn't moved since playing around with others Smiley

and yes adding to many volts to a die will increase hw error as well...that is why i was having such a hard time with 251...cause i just kept adding more n more...all is good now .5% hw and 720gh/s on 251 Smiley

well i did put heatsinks on my vrms...IDK how it lowered the temp but it did...I saw 5c or so lower temps w/o changing anything...i try the 45 degree fan method too..but i was doing that before n after heatsinks so that wasn't the change in temp...and one module didn't even have a vrm fan on it so just with the heatsinks it droped...

Think i might try removing the stock hsf as i saw you can get a better fan placement on there...i just have mine proped up on the black shroud

813  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 23, 2014, 10:49:55 PM
the list again for reference

4C2 equals 967.5 MHz or ~ 185.76 GH per Asic (theoretical)

Your opinions ... On October Jupiter max Safe Mhz setting ?

tons of mixed info...you decide what you think...KNC engineer HNO in IRC said no more then 50a per vrm or 200a per board is safe...bitromia or something from knc sales said 64a per vrm is safe...so if you believe hno at 50a then 211 would be your safe max...and if ya believe da bit guy then hell you could probably get 261 outta it...depending also how cool you keep the vrm...stock cooling with cover on you probably won't get very far before temps get too high

I have copper heatsinks on vrms n extra fans in there to help with cooling Smiley

kewl...gimme the info so i can start to get authorities involved to bring him down Cheesy

What I get from info?

I also want 50% of the prize before ill give you the info.

I have his full adress you can get his home  Grin

wow can you believe this guy? I hope there is a special place in hell for him...trys to scam an already wounded person...

To be fair, you are asking for someone's service. Most services don't come for free.

Reward...just thought i'd post it here to get more eyes seeing it...he didn't have to msg me about it and he knew the terms from OP anyway i know its bs...

Seems his first victim was some chinese guy, he left his details in a note to the address posted in the other thread. Try contacting him to see what info he has.

The only other thing you could do is find which address the funds have been tumbled to, or get someone to. And tag it to make sure he can't do anything worthwhile with the scammed bitcoins.

how do you tag it? and what good would it do? he can spend'em like all the rest btc?

sometimes even if a vpn is used, you can pursue it.
iirc cyberghost doesn't even log their data, so this one is a dead end.
i'm going to assume you don't have a phone number for the guy...

you assume correct...ya i kinda figured it would be a lost cause Sad oh well thanks for trying guys Smiley

Getting the money back won't happen unless you are planning to visit his home address.

yes i would do that or get someone involved who could...
