801  Economy / Economics / Re: Is an economy without physical money safe for the poorest? on: October 16, 2017, 08:56:49 AM
Lol. Hackers would definitely have use for their skills. And i don't think it will be good even for the middle class sector. Well if we talk about the poorest, i don't think even cash is available, so much less would digital currencies be.
You are right. In fact, it will make the matters for them worst. How would they even get hold of a digital currency if they dont have any money to buy electronics in the first place? Therefore an economy without physical money is not good for the  poor and without them owning electronics, an economy without physical money is impossible. Crypto will always remain to be a way to pay unless things change.
802  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin a Bubble? on: October 16, 2017, 03:24:52 AM
Wall street grows ever more certain Bitcoin is a bubble. I can't even say they're wrong. Flirting with $6000 per coin and low economic utility? For as dumb as Jamie Dimon sounds every time he says anything about Bitcoin, the tulip bubble analogy looks less and less inappropriate all the time.

Quote
In a note to clients published on Thursday, analysts at UBS took a long look at Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and the blockchain technology that underwrites this whole enterprise.

Looking only at pricing, UBS said that, “a twenty-fold increase in bitcoin prices in just two years, and an absence of any fundamental economic backing, cryptocurrency prices are almost certainly a bubble.”

Blockchain utility doesn't make crypto not a bubble. That'll be important to remember for people buying now expecting to make big gains at this cost basis, and there's real risk there.
Bitcoin right now really looks like a bubble if seen on the perspective of them who does not use bitcoin regularly. They dont know what is sustaining bitcoin to it's current prices but I think no bubble can be so resilient like bitcoin is. Still, Bitcoin might be a bubble because even if it is increased twenty fold because of mass adoption, price growth happens too fast. For this reason, I believe that when the expected massive drop comes, it would go way back probably to the price where it should be now.
803  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Bitcoin save Venezuela? on: October 16, 2017, 01:32:46 AM
I heard that a lot of people from venezuela are in this forum, and they are taking profit from bounty campaigns and signature campaigns, it is good for them that they can make a good profit from that money. I prefer to see that they are using that money to make a good living, than those who are wasting the money in online games or ingame stuff.
And i have a friend from there, and he told me that he is paying around $0,04 for their monthly electricity taxes, it is insane, i have never seen this kind of taxes, they are so cheap.

Even if there is a lot from Venezuela from this forum, the fact that bitcoin saved Venezuela itself is not true. Of course it gave some of those citizens of Venezuela who lurk here in this forum to gain extra income but what about the majority who didn't use crypto? Therefore I conclude that bitcoin saving Venezuela is not a fact but is just a generalization of those who use it from there that didn't take into account the others who doesn't use bitcoin.
804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin hit 10.000 in 2018? on: October 15, 2017, 11:53:41 PM
No matter if $ or €
Since the end of 2018 is still a year before, there is a chance that it might reach it in terms of $ but I doubt if it is in terms of €. The chance of it reaching 10000$ was low considering bitcoin would not always move upward and later on the anticipated crypto winter will come. Still, I don't want to deny the fact that it is possible. Many things can happen in the span of 1 year so for now all we can do is wait for 2018 to end to exactly know if btc price will reach 10000$ or not during the year.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price will go down? on: October 15, 2017, 02:41:03 PM
Theory

I think because many people are buying now BTC due to "free money" the schedule to be at November ( BTC GOLD ) I believe that its price should go down because many people also transfer there funds from altcoin to bitcoin
And it good time to buy altcoin ( maybe wait even a bit longer )

What do you think?
In some sense you are right. At the last fork that had happened, a lot of people got free money and somehow many thinks that they need to buy more btc for more free money. I'm sure that there will come a time where bitcoin will go down. That is the time when people got their free money already for sure bitcoin might experience a temporary drop. That being said, I think it is better to not buy some altcoins now but go with the flow, just hodl btc stash then sell some at the right moment after fork then rebuy back in when the anticipated drop comes.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC hit $5600+ on: October 15, 2017, 01:26:31 PM
I do not know you sell it yet. I think the bitcoin prices will continue to rise before the 25/10 .Upcoming fork, you hold your bitcoin to can get free bitcoin gold.
You are right that it is wiser to hold bitcoin now that there will be yet another fork coming from it. Everyone would get free money again after fork if one held 100% of btc portfolio until fork. Still it is still not a bad move to sell some of the bitcoin one holds, price is high after all and it is a good way to secure some funds in case btc price goes down after bitcoin gold is released.
807  Economy / Speculation / Re: At It Again: Dimon Breaks Vow, Says Bitcoin Buyers Are Stupid on: October 15, 2017, 11:36:13 AM
At It Again: Dimon Breaks Vow, Says Bitcoin Buyers Are Stupid and Will 'Pay the Price'
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/13/jamie-dimon-says-people-who-buy-bitcoin-are-stupid.html

His daughter, who bought 2 bitcoins, is probably telling him to shut up.
Its better to not pay any attention to stupid FUD makers who only thinks of bringing bitcoin price down just for them to buy cheaper.  I won't say that he is wrong because there is a chance that bitcoin price will go down and the inevitable crypto winter will come soon but I also wont say he is right, right now there is a greater chance of price rise rather than downfall.
808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Industry Experts Believe Bitcoin Headed to $6,000 on: October 15, 2017, 10:14:06 AM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/industry-experts-believe-bitcoin-headed-to-6000
Nothing seems to stop Bitcoin.  Not China.  Not Jamie Dimon.  Nothing.
There really isn't anyone who can stop bitcoin growth but im sure that soon bitcoin winter will come. It will inevitably come since not all time bitcoin would have an upward trend. Still, I don't deny the possibility of bitcoin heading to 6000$ before that expected winter comes. Since the one who said it are experts, I believe that the chance of it reaching the said price is high.
809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto winter is coming again … on: October 14, 2017, 12:38:40 PM
Oh yeah crypto winter is coming. Sooner or later.
And you know what? I don't think it will last that long it won'tl be "so cold".
And after that? You wanna guess again? Right, summer will come again.
So what exactly is your point??

You are right so there is nothing to worry about even if the winter is coming soon. If it really did come then there's only one thing needed to do in order to profit when summer comes again, and that is to hard bitcoin again. That being said, it is a nice time to unload little by little this time before this expected crypto winter. The question though is when will it happen? For now my guess is that it might come before December ends.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long since you entered the crypto market on: October 13, 2017, 01:07:08 PM
Just curious about the people on this forum. There seem to be a lot of newbies around, like myself. So tell me: how long have you been in the crypto market?
I entered cryptocurrency world way back 2014 just after mt. Gox hack I think if I remember it correctly, I might be wrong on the year but I am certain that I purchased my first coins after mt. Gox hack. Looking back, crypto users that time is less when compared to the current number of cryptocurrency users today. Also, price that time and demand is less when compared to the current time.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 Cryptocurrency Investment Picks 2017 on: October 13, 2017, 12:04:07 PM
No doubt that Bitcoin, Ethereum & other top known cryptocurrencies are the best coins to invest. Especially the Bitcoin as all of you know how the Bitcoin prices surged this year  Wink

But I think it's just the start of the crypto world and we have much more investment options than what we are limited to. I wrote an article and picked the Top 10 cryptocurrency which can outperform in future. Please read my article below: (suggestions and comments are appreciated Smiley Thanks in advance  Smiley

https://atozforex.com/news/top-10-cryptocurrency-investment-picks-2017/
They really are good investments without a doubt. The only one I doubt within the list is doge since it is abandoned by it's developer. Even if that is the case, it really is a good time to invest into doge and hodl to secure some value, many users still use it anyway. I also haven't heard about ppc from the list but upon reading up some articles related to it, it seems good too.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO would you suggest for October? on: October 13, 2017, 11:31:55 AM
Which ICO would you suggest for October?

There are many good ICO's so just do your own research and choose one that will get your interest. I will just recommend an ICO that might pique your interest and that is spectre.ai. They have a good team IMO and a good roadmap. Also, they have a good concept of being the world's first broker less financial trading platform in cryptoworld. 813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: October 12, 2017, 01:22:38 PM
Hello, Friends...

I Recently listen about the ICO (Initial Coin Offerings)! But I'm confused, Is it a Right Investment or Not?

Anyone Suggests me!
It is up to you to invest in it or not but for me it is a good investment to invest into ICO since they give nice returns whenever one succeeds. It is a high risk high reward like system with lesser the risk if one research properly before investing into one. I suggest OP to invest only small amounts of money that you are ready to lose, not all ICO is guaranteed to give returns.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ukraine to regulate exchanges on: October 12, 2017, 12:35:45 PM
A bill has been registered in the parliament of Ukraine to regulate bitcoin exchange which consist of taxing on trade and tax on mining as well.
The bill needs to get a majority vote to get passed.

https://www.coindesk.com/ukraine-regulate-bitcoin-exchanges-proposed-law/
It is good to see another country notice cryptocurrency, it is a clear evidence that adoption rate is increasing. I feel bad for those who were using crypto there though they will need to pay tax just doing trades and mining but still it brings benefit to them like having more ways to spend their coins in real life. I hope that Ukraine government will decides whether to pass this or not soon.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hidden Gems on: October 12, 2017, 11:55:38 AM
Nearly none of the coins on this thread are hidden gems. I personally liked Bridgecoin as someone other suggested. It might be popular in future as they return money to coin holders. I want to suggest gilgames. Gaming is important.
I also think neither of the coins you suggested are both hidden gems. Gilgames is not that good of a coin at all, many coins related to gaming are much better than it. The only possible hidden gems that I can suggest to OP is waves since it's usage s like ETH and is undervalued right now. Also, there are a lot more features to it but still it is not a certain hidden gem. Always to remember to invest at your own risk.
816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Going Above 6k Soon!!!!! on: October 11, 2017, 12:56:46 PM
Trust me it is going above 6k soon!!!!!!!!!!!!
That price I think might be reachable before the year ends unless there will be some FUDS that will stop btc reaching that this year. Still that end of the year is soon, it is still 4 months before the year ends and a lot of action can happen by that time. Still I believe btc would reach 6000$ before year ends. The possibility of it reaching that point is high if things continue the way they are now and I hope it will really reach 6000$ as expected.
817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy the dip on: October 11, 2017, 11:37:13 AM
A year ago was $700/BTC.
Do you understand the great painting?

One year ago nobody was giving $1000 but now they suddenly get bored and give $5000?  Cheesy
It certainly was surprising how people is willing to buy bitcoin $5000 now when it was not even worth 1000$ a year ago. Still I agree in OP's points for now bitcoin won't probably go lower than 4600$ in the near future but it might be possible to go way down beyond in the far future. Still I don't see it happening soon so buy now the dip that occurred is quite good IMO.
818  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 millon for a Bitcoin is this fiction or reality? on: October 10, 2017, 12:46:10 PM
People says 1 BTC will be cost 1 Million do you believe in that?
There is a possibility of it happening but in reality, the chance of it to happen in the future is very low. Even with acceptance of government, I doubt if bitcoin would ever reach 1 million dollars per btc. If it will happen, it would take centuries more where supply of bitcoin is scarce because of many lost bitcoin that can't be recovered. It would probably take 2 or more decades for it to happen.
819  Economy / Speculation / Re: LOWEST PRICE BITCOIN WILL GET TO on: October 10, 2017, 12:07:30 PM
I am actually worried at the rate bitcoin is dropping and I think it might reach $2K so I want to know if my suggestion is right.

Not even a month ago was possible to hit below 2000$ mark, now bitcoin price seem to be on the up curve and do not see It going down at least before the next fork happen.
I see bitcoin price dropping even before the fork. Even if the possibility is low, the chance of dropping before fork is possible. I think it would be possible for btc to go down to 1500$ again if things took a bad turn against bitcoin. Even if that happens, I won't see it as a bad occurrence but rather a good opportunity to buy in btc cheap. The chance of it going down to that low levels is probably very low but possible.
820  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Price of Bitcoin Will Collaspe ....UMMM on: October 10, 2017, 08:16:52 AM
What are they saying the price will co;;apse the charts sure do not say that. We can expect at some time that we will get  a retrace and will pull back. I surely do not except to see this back at 800.00$.

Mr Kenneth Rogoff said that he feels Bitcoin will fall. He feels that this is all due to regulation and central banks. I do feel the price will not stay at this high and I do not see it going much below 3000.00 $. We will have
to look at the liquidity and the trading volatility, if this does not happen the chance is the price will just remain in a tight range. As we know as Financial traders this is very common in all instruments.
Like you I see it retracting too considering it has been continuing it's upward trend for a while now. I don't expect a big crash to 2000$ below though. I just expect it to go to lower than 4000$ again if ever retracement really do happen. If I were you OP I won't believe what an expert says about bitcoin falling etc. It is the most typical FUD they do to bring btc price down.
