Updated a few things, check it out

1. The web site requires unnatural allegiance. It doesn't feel like a professional site, doesn't look like one, and any allegiance is one you create deep inside of you because of your lust for crypto. 2. The site is clearly benefiting in some way from pump and dump scams because it adds so many stupid coins for no good reason. 3. In crypto you follow people and opinions until their morality is laid bare and exposed for the greedy whores they really are. Then when you find out that your are dealing with a whore it is time to move on and never look back or she will leave you broke and holding your limp noodle in your hand.
I don't want to defend them but most of your argument could be said about any altcoin exchange... Cryptsy has its pros and cons, ups and downs... but overall it's a solid and exhaustive altcoin marketplace. The interface could be better (I'd like to have less pages to go through went switching coins and stuff, for example), but it's not as bad as some others that I won't name

Votes can be changed EDIT: maybe not thought there was an option for that
Nice, it seems to have brought more votes in

It would be interesting if Bitmine could give some figures to back up their statement about catching up with the queue. The announcement / news was long overdue, but let's hope Bitmine delivers at least a better product than, say, the Bitmain Antminer S2

good news,i need sha256 coin.
This is a special coin aimed at PoS, but yes we need more of these For those with Blade Erupters, it's a nice opportunity since mining Bitcoin with them is hardly profitable nowadays

Great Job! The bounty has already been sent to you.txid:fda6bca991674dd8c9b7a78012bcb421529f9d3a85a7752af4c62bd59e7a132a
Thanks, very much appreciated. It will help me pay for the VPS*, and motivate me to develop and promote SHACoin *on 2nd thought, I will rather hold the coins and spend old-fashion dollars on IT expenses instead

Hello all, SHACoin has been added to CryptoALTeX. Many of you may know us from being the first exchange to carry BlackCoin. In our first day 3 weeks ago we were hammered with way more traffic than we expected and we handled and process all transactions with no major issues besides some emails not getting to our users. I hope you consider us for exchanging your SHACoins and other coins we have listed on our site. Please check out our "Get Listed" program if you have other coins that you are excited about seeing on an exchange. Please check our about page for company and security information SHACoin on CryptoALTeX https://www.cryptoaltex.com/index.php?page=trade&market=21Nice, I just signed up. How many confirmations are required for SHA deposits? Thanks!

Since there is no one providing these charts already, I thought I would do it myself and share with the community. SHACoin Live Difficulty Charts (link to forum topic) Of course it is a work in progress. I am currently working on many improvments already (scale, axis text, options and more stuff). Please consider a small donation to fund development and pay for the server, thank you! i've been reading the wiki, but it's waaaaay over my head lol I shall hereby be renamed Raskul the Noob.
and thanks for clarifying. So... the stake part of my wallet, will it show the percentage of coins I hold compared to the total network, or does it just work out the 'stake / interest' to be paid on my held coins?
ADD: i find this fascinating.
I don't know the specifics for SHACoin, but for other PoS coins like PPC (hybrid) or NXT (pure PoS), your stake is indeed the amount of coins held in your wallet vs all coins on the network. Generally, there is a minimum age requirement for the coins serving as PoS. I can't tell how the client will report it, but I suppose you could easily figure out your stake by dividing your share of coins by the total number of generated coins (something that can already be reported in real time using the 'getinfo' command for example). The process of generating blocks via PoS, vs PoW, is called minting (at least in Peercoin and NXT terms), vs mining (SHA256, scrypt...)

ok, forgive my ignorance, but can someone explain in laymans terms how the PoS system will work - does this kick in when we reach block 14400? and what does it do exactly? what does the 'Stake' part on my wallet actually mean? is it like; interest gathered on held coins? and if so, how does this work exactly?
Basically, yes. How does it work exactly? There's got to be a whitepaper for this. I'll link it if I can find it.

How long time it takes from unconfirmed to confirmed coins on pools? I wait 3 hours and still not confirm. Thanks
Wait 5 more hours and it should be confirmed. 500 minutes = 8 hours 20 minutes

Impossible to mine with GPU.
Like "it can't be done" impossible or "it's not worth it" impossible? you can mine it but you wont make hardly anything Actually, given the very short timeframe when the coin is mineable with PoW, and then the "second market" trading for the days when it will be PoS only, it *might* (if it goes to the moon lol) be profitable even with GPU. It's a pretty risky bet though.

|
|
For once, we have a new altcoin that is really innovative! Not like those 2 pre-mine scams that I won't name here Initial distribution via PoW and then PoS is a concept that I find quite interesting. Only the 10 days initial period seems too short IMHO, it should have used halving principle but with the 10 days period to transition to PoS only. Anyway, I'll mine a couple of coins from this, I like the idea.

In a couple of months (like diff x 4) it will be interesting to try to undervolt it and test max freq w/ decent HW error rate.
