How long time it takes from unconfirmed to confirmed  coins on pools?
I wait 3 hours and still not confirm.
Thanks

Impossible to mine with GPU.
Like "it can't be done" impossible or "it's not worth it" impossible?
you can mine it but you wont make hardly anything

Actually, given the very short timeframe when the coin is mineable with PoW, and then the "second market" trading for the days when it will be PoS only, it *might* (if it goes to the moon lol) be profitable even with GPU. It's a pretty risky bet though.

Wait 5 more hours and it should be confirmed.

ok, forgive my ignorance, but can someone explain in laymans terms how the PoS system will work - does this kick in when we reach block 14400? and what does it do exactly? what does the 'Stake' part on my wallet actually mean? is it like; interest gathered on held coins? and if so, how does this work exactly?

please n thanks.

Basically, yes.

How does it work exactly? There's got to be a whitepaper for this. I'll link it if I can find it.

i've been reading the wiki, but it's waaaaay over my head lol
I shall hereby be renamed Raskul the Noob.

and thanks for clarifying. So... the stake part of my wallet, will it show the percentage of coins I hold compared to the total network, or  does it just work out the 'stake / interest' to be paid on my held coins?

ADD: i find this fascinating.

I don't know the specifics for SHACoin, but for other PoS coins like PPC (hybrid) or NXT (pure PoS), your stake is indeed the amount of coins held in your wallet vs all coins on the network. Generally, there is a minimum age requirement for the coins serving as PoS.

I can't tell how the client will report it, but I suppose you could easily figure out your stake by dividing your share of coins by the total number of generated coins (something that can already be reported in real time using the 'getinfo' command for example).

The process of generating blocks via PoS, vs PoW, is called minting (at least in Peercoin and NXT terms), vs mining (SHA256, scrypt...)

Which makes me wonder... PoS is a more energy efficient method of producing a crytocurrency, and for that reason, far more sustainable.
I like this. And even tho I on;y have a meagre 55GH which I am able to mine it (the rest of my rig is getwork and I find it is a tad temperamental in mining alt coins) - I should keep mining this until block 14400, at which point, the coins I hold will sustain the network without the need to mine it? please correct me if this is wrong?

sha.cryptopools.com at 1TH and need some more hashes.

Running bonus block finders for the first 30 blocks.  Every block you find, you will receive 0.2 LTC.  Find 10 blocks, you get 2 LTC.

DON'T MINE AT THIS POOL.

STOLE the first 1446 blocks....

I've asked for information on it, and received nothing but more advertising from him.

The coin is doing really well, and I'd love for it to keep going.

This pool really screwed us... just sayin.
