8001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: May 11, 2017, 11:27:37 AM
i am storing my bitcoins in paper wallet. i think blockchain.info web wallet is not safe. you must move ur coin public internet. you can lost.
For me it's going to be a case to case basis, now that I only have a small amount of bitcoins I just prefer to store it in online excahange or online wallet and I make sure they have a good reputation to safeguard my assets. It came into my mind that if I save it offline and if there is something happen to my computer I might not be able to access it. Maybe I will just reevaluate my way as soon as I have more to safeguard.

I think it is quite risky to store the coins online even if there is small amount.
Yeah it is very risky to store our coins online because they are always vulnerable for the hackers who can bypass and steal our coins so it is best to find a good and safe wallet like hardware wallets which we can store our coins for long term and have no worries about the possible hacker attacks.
8002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: May 11, 2017, 11:17:08 AM
As of now I store my bitcoins in different wallets. The wallets I were use are the one of the most popular and trusted wallet which is blockchain and our local wallet which have many service such as you can pay your bills, buy load and etc. the coins.ph. Our local wallet can be use with ease and you can even convert you bitcoin anytime.
That is a great wallet, i hope coinbase can also do that because i'm just a new coinbase user from the web wallet of blockchain and i don't see a feature that i can pay the bills using my bitcoins in coinbase. That is a great features that you can do stuffs like that and that is a sign for bitcoin that it can be used in anything that is related with money.
8003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: May 11, 2017, 11:03:18 AM
i woud say this can be good only for teenagers and can be a source of income for them but for children they should not do work at that age they still need development and also need to be more mature so have a interest in something like bitcoin but teenagers should know about bitcoin because it can be the future currency.
Maybe bitcoin will be suitable for teens as they can earn extra income from bitcoin. But bitcoin will not be suitable for any child. It would be useless if you told the little boy about bitcoin
I agree, bitcoin is just for at least a teenager and not on a child because children are too innocent and they lack a lot of requirements which is experience in technology and also in knowledge because most of the children are just not using computer yet so they will have a lot of problems in understanding bitcoin as a digital stuff.
8004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: May 11, 2017, 10:40:28 AM
Ask this question after the quantum computers are on everybodys desktop. Nothing last forever.

I doubt btc will live that long but it couldn't survive quantum computers for sure. They will decrypt it in minutes.
As long as there is community that continue supporting bitcoin then bitcoin can live for a long time because it is all about the support for the bitcoin, in market, in the network and also for the minor parts of bitcoin. It just need support and if bitcoin will have a continuous support then there is nothing to worry about the life span of bitcoin.
8005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's freaking 2017 - Do you own 1 BTC? on: May 11, 2017, 10:24:53 AM
I have more than 1 bitcoin. But time to time i sold them, and still i hold my bitcoins, nearly 4 to 5 bitcoins and in this week i sold my 1 bitcoin in this price $1680, and now i see bitcoin cross $1849, than i feel bad but now i am happy with my bitcoins.
But i am surprise to see the voting result that a huge people have no own 1 bitcoin.
There is nothing to be surprised if a lot of people don't have 1 bitcoin because most of the people now are just starting to notice bitcoin and just getting started in their bitcoin journey. Even i'm at least a year old bitcoin user, i don't still have 1 bitcoin because i already sold them for a cheap price and i fully regret that decision and that is one of the worst decision that i have ever made.
8006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: May 11, 2017, 10:15:07 AM
I think that's just speculation, because I see there are many people who prefer using bitcoin rather than using cash, because they think bitcoin is simpler than cash
Simpler online maybe but you're going to be very hard-pressed to find anyone that thinks that it is easier to pay with Bitcoin than cash for anything that's in person. I personally prefer using cash to even credit when it comes to buying things face-to-face, even though it makes the lives of cashiers a bit more painful for the few coins they have to count out.

I can't stand having to log into things to pay for stuff using fiat online.

exactly. people might think that it is time consuming using bitcoin when we will talk about paying bitcoin over the counter. considering the transaction time and fees. compared to cash or cerdit cards, we can easily pay them in just a matter of seconds. but i also understand if some will prefer bitcoin, because the value is increasing over time.
That is why it's best to have both and not completely depend on only one because the bitcoin now is cannot be used in our daily life like buying items in the store and also it will take time because of the confirmation. Bitcoin is not designed for replacing the current currency that we are using so i don't think that we need to choose one when we can have both.
8007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: May 11, 2017, 10:01:16 AM
For me,
Bitcoin is a digital currency
Its a gateway to financial freedom
A window of opportunity using its robust technology and simply a lifestyle.
I agree with you. Bitcoin is a digital currency that can help any kind of person that has determination in studying bitcoin and also growing it. Bitcoin is also a gateway to financial freedom if you do the things very well and properly, Once i experienced to have a bitcoin that is a game changer for me but i end up losing it because of being greedy.
8008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of my fellow bitcoiners do affiliate marketing? on: May 11, 2017, 09:43:22 AM
I used to do affiliate marketing on clickbank, not really successful but made a small profit,if you are going to do affiliate marketing, you should know the niche you are in and only pick a product that you really understand.having a website and a social sites is a must if you want to succeed in affiliate marketing.
Yeah also i great way to make a good profit by affiliate msrketing but notas good as investing also affilate marketing is not a long term so you cant earn consistently there are time that you have no invites and when you dont have invite you dont have payout but i gues almost 20%of bitcoin users do this.
That is not true that if you don't have referral or invited people then you can't do payouts because that is completely wrong. You can still do payouts for most of the sites even you don't have referrals as long as you have investment but sometimes it is still depend on the policy of the site or company that you have been invested.
8009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price will you sell your BTC, and what will you buy? on: May 11, 2017, 09:33:32 AM
I will sell some of my bitcoins if the price of bitcoin already reached at least 2000 USD and i will wait for a dump and i will buy back and hold them again for long term or use them as a capital in trading. If bitcoin will have a hard dump and reach at least 1000 USD per bitcoin then i will buy at least 10 bitcoins and keep the for long term Grin.
8010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: May 11, 2017, 09:09:13 AM
Nobody knows what will happen to bitcoin 20years from now. It will only depend on the world economy and the people who trust bitcoin, some answers will just depend on predictions and speculations.
All I can say based on my prediction is that bitcoin will be huge 20 years from now.
We have not end this year yet and so much improvement is already happening now.
20 years from now bitcoin will be a big cryptocurrency and it is already improved well and a lot of people using it as a currency and buying stuffs with their bitcoin and also bitcoin price is already up high to at least 10,000 USD per bitcoin. There is a lot of things to wait for bitcoin and the best thing to do as of now is either buy bitcoin or collect bitcoin Cool.
8011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: May 11, 2017, 08:59:32 AM
Everyone should be careful, the hype is nice but the history of bitcoin does not lie, everytime it goes up too much too fast it ends up falling down shortly after. Maybe we can see 2000$ soon but im pretty sure it will fall down after that quite a bit

If bitcoin will be fall down after reached at $2000, than it doesn't matter. You know bitcoin is a cyrpto currency and all crypto currencies have a fall and up. Believe me if bitcoin start to fall down than also bitcoin maintain its price and still it will have a profitable price and after few days bitcoin will be started to grow again. So be-careful to sell and buy the bitcoin.
If bitcoin will fall down after 2000 USD then the right thing to do if you have bitcoin is to hold for long term and if you don't have bitcoin then you should buy because a dump is always a good to buy and that is one of the opportunity that you need to look for in the market of bitcoin. A lot of professional traders and investors told me that when there is a dump then buy it and sell it on pump to get profits.
8012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only.... on: May 11, 2017, 08:50:32 AM
Just wanted to share my experience of bitcoin with the recent price rises.

I bought £15000 worth of bitcoin at 3 different stages back in November 2013 when the price went sky high from the tens, to the hundreds then up over $1000.  Think I bought at $300, $600 and $1000 or something, can't exactly remember.

Anyway the price plummeted as we know but I held on for the long term.  But then I lost my job, had a holiday in the US planned and held out for months until I had no choice but to sell. I sold all 27 bitcoins for £7000 meaning I lost £8000 overall.

I didn't want to sell as I would have rather kept them with a chance of either making money one day or losing it all, rather than sell immediately and lose £7000.  Price continued to drop below $300 so in some way I was happy i didn't lose more but when it stabilized at $250 and stayed there for what seemed like ages I knew it had a future and would go up again one day.  But I couldn't bring myself to throw more money at it.

Anyway today my 27 bitcoins would have been worth £37000 and a nice £22000 profit.  Oh well.  Undecided

That is the biggest loss that i see in bitcoin, That is a very regretful decision in your entire life because you can't get back that loss again and i think if you just not sold that 27 all and just sell at least 7 bitcoins and keep the 20 then you can still earn a lot of money right now but you are too greedy and you sold it all. Better luck next time.
8013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hypothetically: How/Where is the best place to sell $2M USD worth of Bitcoin ? on: May 11, 2017, 08:38:58 AM
If you are about to sell $2M USD worth of bitocin, i think it is good to sell it in person rather than selling it online because there is a lot of chance that you can attract scammers that will try to scam you to just get that $2M USD worth of bitcoin. Just make a status that you are selling bitcoin and you preferred selling it offline or in person so you don't have to worry because you will check the money first before the bitcoin which is safer than online.
8014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2017, 08:29:57 AM
If I introduce Bitcoin to my mother, brother or other people who aren't tech savvy... They would simply forget about it because of many things: bitcoin is not so easy to get, it is confusing how to start using it, create wallet/address or whatever.
If you told them directly in-depth they would say that bitcoin is too complicated. Then you should explain and practice it in a basic way and little by little, that's what I do to my dad

I agree to your move, That is how we will explain and guide our parents or old ones in using bitcoin by teaching them step by step on how to use bitcoin like explaining them the bitcoin address and letting them to do send bitcoins and also receive to completely understand how the transactions work and also the fees and after that they will understand bitcoin.
8015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM on: May 11, 2017, 08:02:39 AM
I also tried atm and bought some bitcoins from there and for the first time i'm nervous because i thought that it is just a scam bitcoin atm and it will not give your bitcoins after you place your order but when i place an order and pay it with my fiat money the transaction was very smooth and the bitcoins just got into my wallet just after a minute.
8016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: May 10, 2017, 11:52:35 AM
The one chance I see for an altcoin to succeed is the fees for bitcoin transactions keeps getting higher. This could discourage the use of bitcoins for small transactions.
When the bitcoin transaction fee gets bigger it might make bitcoin users a bit uncomfortable. Because of course it will be a little detrimental to them and maybe they will think to use altcoin

That is what the most concerned topic right now which is the increasing fee of bitcoin transactions that is around or more $1 per transaction and for a wise money saver that is a very expensive fee and that is why some of the cryptocurrency user choose altcoin that is cheaper in fees and also faster but this is just temporary problem and soon it will be fixed by the core team.
8017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of my fellow bitcoiners do affiliate marketing? on: May 10, 2017, 11:40:06 AM
I think affiliate marketing is very normal for this days because all of the people doing it even on investment sites where they invested money has a feature of affiliate marketing and also even on cloud mining sites they also have affiliate marketing, so i think this question is answerable by all of us, yes all of us do affiliate marketing and because it is very common so you don't even notice that you already doing it.
8018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best IOS wallet? on: May 10, 2017, 11:13:42 AM
I just got my new IOS device and the most recommended wallet from my friends is the Jaxx which is multi-cryptocurrency wallet and when i use it, it is good and it has a simple user interface which you can transfer funds also from paper wallet like from bitcoin, litecoin, ethereum, ethereum classic paper wallets. It is very easy to us and even you are just a newbie you can get used to it in just a few minutes.
8019  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What do u think of a tough keepkey/trezor/leger-nano-s ? on: May 10, 2017, 10:56:31 AM
If i were going to choose from those three, i will use keepkey because my friend have that hardware wallet and he said that it is fine and easy to use so i think i will try the hardware wallet that is tested by my friends so i can get an advice from them if i encountered any problem while using it. For additional, keepkey is multi-cryptocurrency so it is a better hardware wallet than trezor.
8020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: May 10, 2017, 10:45:36 AM
I think people will always find a cooler name than bitcoin, but the reason why Bitcoin is number one because of being the pioneer of cryptocurrency and being adopted by majority of population of cryptocurrency.  And that is also the reason why Bitcoin is almost the best name for cryptocurrency.
I agree with you, even the people or new developers find a cooler name than bitcoin it will not be enough for them to beat bitcoin and took the number 1 rank in ranking of bitcoin. Before they can beat bitcoin, they should focus on features and the usage of their coin and not on names because even the name is not that good but if the features is the best then it is easy for them to be number 1.
