8021  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Worst case if I submit my passport to an exchange? on: April 08, 2019, 03:04:24 AM
Bittrex is a major exchange, you should not be that worrying about uploading the profile page from your passport to them. They will not sell your info, and even if they did, it can not damages you. A copy of your passport would never be enough to take a loan or something like that in your name.

Bittrex has done some shady things in the past, the most recent one, they failed to do proper DD on their first IEO. When they sell your personal data, it can certainly damage you. They or somebody might use your data to do KYC on another site or buy things using your name. They might use your passport in order to go to other countries, using a mask that is made specifically to replicate your face.

If you travel outside your own country, then you will also see hotels, travel agencies and car rentals, that want a copy of your passport. Some of those companies actually sell your info, but you will most likely never think twice about handing over your passport for a few seconds.

They see your data but they don't store your actual/copy of your passport, so maybe we feel safer when we do that. And it is not possible to avoid that unless you can find a hotel where they won't ask you for details and just go straight to accept payment when you rent a room. In exchange or this crypto world, sensitive data is hard to protect when you carelessly spread your personal info on the internet. Don't be surprised if your emails were bombarded with crypto ads.
8022  Economy / Exchanges / Re: fiat withdrawals from bitmarket.pl/bitmarket.net on: April 08, 2019, 02:50:07 AM
Do you have any details/resources on the regulation-related problems you mentioned?

Maybe he's talking about how unfriendly bank & government to crypto in general, as one of the most famous exchanges in Poland was reported to move to Malta to continue their operation as mentioned in this article: https://comparic.com/biggest-polish-crypto-exchange-escape-malta-amidst-regulatory-crackdown/.
8023  Economy / Services / Re: Work: Topic of a new Cryptocurrency + 10 pages on: April 08, 2019, 02:31:05 AM
Create an account, Create a topic, beautifully arrange on this BTC forum with a description and meaningful comments (5-10 pages). Payment about $ 70 (discussed)

What do you mean by meaningful comments in 5-10 pages? Bumping thread services like Adolfin described above, or you expect a nicely decorated ANN thread that can generate interest from other users to comment here?

I personally think requiring your worker to make 5-10 pages thread (approximately it means 200 posts) won't give you a good result as it might attract spammer and not genuinely interested user to comment on your thread.
8024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Could someone people help me understand what is going on? Many thanks! on: April 08, 2019, 02:19:51 AM
So I'm kinda confused as to what is going on. I made a basic coinbase to bitpay transfer from bitcoins I bought from coinbase and over 15 confirmations later its still not letting me spend my bitcoin. Here is the transaction ID 3940236075e7e6ea14a77866c86e674fbfff624674baf91819e48862eb12df9f.

So I check to make sure address was right, and it is. It shows it in my bitpay account, however it states that most of it hasn't cleared more than 1 confirmation. Which clearly (unless I'm not getting something, says way over). It also says in the actual transaction it self that it has over 6+ confirmations however when I look at the balance it shows 0.00 to spend, and once clicked on it states its hasn't clear more than once.

Now, as the bitcoin was clearing I did start to transfer some of the coin to another account. That transfer has 0 confirmations and seems stuck in limbo, 3 hours later.

1. Some wallet/exchanges are lagging in updating their user wallet status. You might need to wait several minutes before it shows up successfully in your exchange wallet, but if that is not the case, contacting their support is your best option.

2. Your 2nd transaction seems like a new transaction that somehow has a low fee so it is not being prioritized by the network. Most likely you need to wait for hours or days before it is added to the latest block, or if you can't wait for it, then use replace by fee to increase your tx fees. If this transaction is related to your stuck one, then maybe it happens because the input is not yet read by your wallet as confirmed, so it is not processed yet (both of them are Bitpay transaction?).
8025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Why doesn't Bitcoin-core Wallet app transmit payment? on: April 08, 2019, 02:13:35 AM
Can you share the TX id? Judging by your story, it looks like you have sent some BTC and then use replace by fee to increase your transaction fees. It is weird if your tx is not yet confirmed if that really happened.
8026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Are there faster methods of syncing Bitcoin Core? on: April 08, 2019, 02:05:01 AM
It took me 3 weeks to get to just over 30%. Then I tried to carry on loading tonight and when it started up it said there was an error with the data.

The only options it gave were Abort or Reload. Abort stopped the Bitcoin Core program. I tried rerunning the program a few times but it did the same thing. When I clicked reload it loaded up and has gone back to 0%.

Surely there is a better way. Has anyone tried sharing the data on external HD with people locally?

What's your computer specs? Have you tried any hacks posted above (though it is 2 years old already)?

Sharing data is one of the options but it requires trust between you and the other parties. Not an ideal solution but somebody has done it IIRC. It might be a good alternative if you have a trusted friend. If not, be prepared with the risk.
8027  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: UNABLE TO SEND BTC GETTING VALIDATION ERROR: TOO MANY PENDING TRANSACTIONS PLEAS on: April 08, 2019, 01:54:18 AM
i am using blockchain and as soon i press send button it is giving this error

My first time hearing that Blockchain needs you to wait for validation before you can make a transaction. Is it possible because your input comes from the unconfirmed output? Can you give us an SS? Though it seems your issue has been solved it is interesting to learn more about this imo.

i am not able to share pic here, i can email you screen shot if u can give me your email.

You can upload your image on image hosting site and then copy the link here.
8028  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bounty Managers on: April 08, 2019, 01:32:08 AM
There almost 7 thousands of thread views so if all of them are voting then we have now the most voted bounty manager with a vote of 500+ or 1000.

Not all people here to vote, they just want to know which bounty managers that they should follow imo. I personally take more credit on the project instead of the manager, unless it's an extreme case where I can't verify the project by myself, I tend to look at the manager and his past job. If he tends to manage legit bounties (not a scam project), I might give it a chance. But if not, then I'd skip it.

From the list on the poll, only 2 managers that I considered as best managers which most of the time manage good projects.
8029  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ryan Hildreth , Bitconnect scam on: April 08, 2019, 01:18:42 AM
Wow, so the scammer is active again? 100k followers are massive. All of them is real people or just bot tho?

he of course deleted everything that connects him to bitconnet, and now all of his videos are about things like "how to make money online, how to get rich ,etc. when the only way of making money he knows is through scam projects like bitscam.

i won't be surprised if this dude shills another scam coin in the next bull market.

Even though I'm concerned with his activity, I think people are more selective nowadays as 2018 bear market rekt them so hard. On top of that, lots of channel/group are becoming more critical to projects (at some point even spreading false information). Let's hope there won't be any Bitconnect 2.0.
8030  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I got hacked by Electrum Official Wallet [0.10 BTC] on: April 08, 2019, 01:07:13 AM
Get rid of "Electrum Official Wallet" in the title, as it's clearly not official. Very misleading.
It's official because the malware was infected inside of the official wallet and not something I downloaded externally. Of course, the downloaded was from outside electrum but I got linked to that from inside of electrum.

There is no malware inside your older Electrum wallet. Some malicious server replied your send message by directing you to download the fake Electrum. If you just ignore it, you won't lose any funds. This has been discussed since months ago afaik, you can scroll up on Electrum subforum to know more details about this phishing attack.
8031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bulls need time on: April 08, 2019, 12:59:07 AM
Most of the time uncertainty is the biggest feature of this market. If the bull's movement continued according to the graph, such increase could not be expected. This may not apply to some movements, but it is more appropriate for big movements.

A graph is pretty much useless if there are fundamental changes happening in a short amount of time. Imagine if today or tomorrow, SEC suddenly announces they will accept Bitcoin ETF, even if it shows an overbought condition, I believe people will start buying like crazy due to FOMO.

The good thing is TA still work if there are no fundamental changes that are accepted/considered by the market, so the movement is purely based on technical analysis. Day trader or swing trader will love that.
8032  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Transfering bitcoin to another person account on coinbase tax question on: April 08, 2019, 12:46:19 AM
You should discuss this on Legal subforum.[1] On a side note, do you have a financial advisor or tax lawyer? Maybe discussing with them directly can give you better insight, instead of asking some random dudes on the internet.

8033  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are any of the top managers involved in any running bounties? on: April 07, 2019, 09:06:46 AM
Keep developing your account here and sign up for a campaign that isn't an insult.
You mean a bitcoin paying sig campaign? I have a looong way to go to even consider that, but thanks.

I've been participating in various bounties campaign, and in the end, I can count only 10 that gives me some good result. Believe me, joining bounty in 2018 or maybe 2019 is very uncertain, you'll end up wasting your time if you focus doing bounties. IMO just participate in sig campaign that paid in BTC/ETH, and then write an article or do videos if you want to join in bounty campaign.

It is better to get $10 per week instead of waiting months just to get $40 worth of tokens.

Nyepam ngejar postingan?

Langsung dieksekusi aja om, toh percuma juga direspons karena kemungkinan ga dibaca/dibales.

8035  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [ANN][PRIVATE-SALE] 🚀 W12.io - Blockchain Protocol 🚀 on: April 07, 2019, 08:48:03 AM

Dana udah dikirim, proyek gak berjalan lancar.
8036  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [ANN][Pre-Sale][LivenPay - Spend and Earn Cryptocurrency Instantly][LIVE] on: April 07, 2019, 07:32:40 AM

8037  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I was scammed by ETHX (ethx.co) on: April 07, 2019, 06:57:39 AM
Can you get the screenshot/link of the ToS? If you have it, it could add a good point to support your claim that they've deceived you.
But looking at the screenshot, I think their system is fine with what you did?

Not sure if they're planning to scam you since the beginning or this is their mistake.

Now they have blocked my acc and they do not want to pay for my work due aggressive spamming Huh?

Aggressive spamming on what? Facebook?
8038  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [HELP]Bantuan untuk menaikkan Rank (Jr. Member s.d Hero)[UPDATE] on: April 07, 2019, 06:42:13 AM

8039  Economy / Exchanges / Re: AN OPEN LETTER TO CZ_BINANCE on: April 07, 2019, 06:21:50 AM
Did you really believe Binance believes in decentralization, fair opportunity and things like that? I don't think so. They need to make profits, kill competitors, and if possible conquer the exchange world. So they will do anything as long as it keeps the BNB pump continue. Not necessarily bad but if you hope Binance to give plebs a chance to get rich, that's wishful thinking imo.

IMO, the WorkLock by NuCypher is a better solution if you aim for decentralized distribution model and strong community support.
8040  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CLOVERDEX CLDX token where to exchange? on: April 07, 2019, 06:09:23 AM
The best place to ask is their Telegram group.

Judging from the transaction on Etherscan, I think there is no big exchange that listed them yet. You can try your luck with Forkdelta or Etherdelta, though I doubt the price is as good as you hope.

Most bounty tokens are worthless nowadays.
