8021  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: April 30, 2021, 12:47:40 PM
Same here, I was considering googling a bit and making an informed decision but then decided to just pick them blind. Not that I am winning these freebies even when I know what I am doing Smiley Can't complain though I won once at least and I am sure there is a lot of players out there without even that.
=======
Same thing with our Sportsbet sponsored Premier League pool. First price is now 0.1BTC and looks very juicy, even our consolation prizes awarded for 6-10 finish are 0.01BTC which looks really good. Can't remember what was the entry but probably around 30$.

I did look up the names in the draft for the first pick but when we had to do the second pick on the refresh, I just stabbed at some semi-instinctive, semi-guesstimate pick. If I win, then I definitely need to do random more often;)

And phew, Bitcoin. I know you've been betting in the same BTC amounts but I've had to adjust my bets just to keep me from going overboard (since I am earning in BTC but paid in fiat values ha). It is really nice to be locking in profits last year though and that prize money just looks incredible now. Entry was actually around £40 which translated to around $53... I checked the entry fee it was actually 0.0045 btcWink

Come on Real, save football by winning number 14.

Brother, you always know how to say the things that my politeness tells me not to sometimes haha. Hate to say it too but I'd rather them Madrid royalty and Zidane take the stage too in Istanbul.

@BitcoinHunt3r Well bloody done!
8022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +59422 units on: April 30, 2021, 08:32:15 AM
Thank you Granada. This was a poor season for me in many ways. Yes still very much in profit but it was pretty tough without the requisite underdog bets, so this is typical of my strength ha ha.

Roma even almost made it, 2-1 at HT and then whoops capitulation to 5 second half goals. Ah well, can't win them all.

Have I learnt my lesson? Not really =D

8023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2021, 08:16:04 PM
That is one way of looking at it. I think I like it that much just because there is always that chance that weaker team will use their one good chance and walk away with all points. But it sure hurts when your favorite team is on the receiving end of that one chance  Grin

Hopefully this is enough upsets for today so my Man Utd bet will come true. I was thinking to take that Man Utd match line or both to score and of course Roma just scored an equalizer.

It's my favourite part of football, too. The cruelty with which your team can rise all the way to the top by killing giants, and then have it all taken away in the end... or by rolling on undefeated for seasons long and then fall into a patch and lose against derby rivals for the first time in decades (lol Everton).

And of course, I totally love that underdogs in football get 20+ odds as soon as the favourites start getting overhyped. Just need to hit a few of them a season to make it profitable haha.

I made 2 underdog picks today. Granada and Roma (6/1, which actually climbed to 7/1!). So it seems we are on opposite ends of this game! United just equalised so all is safe so far;)

Granada made it on efficiency, from my perspective they held the ball for maximum ten minutes during the match, but made it to score two goals

will be more than interesting, and I would support the underdog now, Sevilla to the title

That's not the first time Granada or any underdog won converting their goals with their only shots! I know because Liverpool is this season on the receiving end of that ha ha sobs ha ha.
8024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2021, 07:12:49 PM
and just when you though you saw everything and it was a great season, but Barca will nail it in the end, Granada had two shots and two goals, and still leading on Camp Nou
this could be another game changer for La liga, if finished as Granada win, ten minutes to go
Yeah we can talk all day about remaining opponents and projected points for top teams but then comes Barca and looses against Granada at home. I am quite sure nobody got this one correct except maybe @buwaytress. This was just the right odds for you buddy, hope you took it Wink

Thank you very much, indeed I took the bet, it was just a little over 22/1, it does remind me of Granada early season and last when they gave me superb wins. Unfortunately, I'd predicted a full-blown 3-0 in our little pool, so I remain well outside the Top 5, with 5 games to go haha. Nice yellow cap Trofo buddy, but I don't mind at all celebrating this upset with, as casper said, only 2 shots on goal.

Football is so cruel isn't it?
8025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2021, 05:12:32 PM
I think Man U will beat Roma today... The statistics of their meetings completely for the Red Devils! Wink They look stronger than Roma too!
And in the match between Villareal and Arsenal everything is not clear... I think the Spanish club can win today!
Man Utd is the better side compared with Roma however attimes Man Utd can be inconsistent likewise Arsenal however I expect the two teams to win today's match Man Utd is star-studded compared to Roma likewise Arsenal too however they should watch out for  Villarreal chukwueze he is a good dribbler who can create chances and score goals too.
The two matches today should live up to expectation as well as entertaining just like yesterday's match.

Well they have been anything but inconsistent the last stretch of games, which is a pretty good time to peak, I'd say. All of it has been linked to Bruno Fernandes. When he's fit and in form, oh they can play well, especially when Rashford and others have somehow got themselves into a rut. Always a slow start is what will worry OGS.

My money's on Roma tonight though, but only because of the value. And Arsenal offering up cool value too, obviously bookies counting on the away disadvantage.
8026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: April 29, 2021, 03:33:43 PM
@igehhh Yeah I know Leeds is a lot more "glamourous" than the Hornets thanks to their exploits in the late 1990s. I'll always remember that boy crying when they got relegated "Leeds til I die", even watching far away across the world I remember this scene most, we all followed Leeds back then (He's of course still a fan today).

But still, Watford were the ones who first shook hands with SB, surely that's special in its own right, no?

@arallmuus @rdbase Never won anything from here yet so can't confirm, but $10 is going to be hard to count when BTC goes up again soon =D

Aren't any of you guys going for Roma? Come on =p
8027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 Major League Baseball (MLB) Season on: April 29, 2021, 01:09:25 PM
Happy to say my outright selection (BoSox) is looking good top of their league table, only two other teams in National League have the same joint highest wins (16) and 9 losses.

I've been reading up a little so I know it's a long way to go in a 162 game season (!!) but happy to see my outright team taking early lead despite the loss on the opener.

How're you guys doing?
8028  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: April 29, 2021, 12:00:17 PM
For sure Chelsea deserved to win but I don't get it : who is training Timo Werner ? Because the dude cannot score no matter what and I'm start to think that he is overpriced and Chelsea slowly realizing this because they just announced that they would give Timo and the rest of the money for Halaand. I doubt Timo will stay at Chelsea in this summer especially that he barely scores and even his team mates don't want to engage much with him during the games.

I always feel bad for these guys. They got hyped up so much it was always going to be impossible to keep up with expectations that were sky-high before they even touched a blade of grass... he must feel bad he didn't pick Liverpool but we got Jota instead who's a revelation so there you go =p

WELL finally Win the 4-3-Free  Grin

Nice one man! I haven't had much luck with this one but $50 freebets, where else do you get them with nothing, right? Good luck spending this freebet.

8029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Elon Musk "Smart" Tweeting Continues! on: April 29, 2021, 09:34:48 AM
Yea don't get me wrong, I totally love the memes and banter. The only thing I don't like is the people that are going to jump in with pure confidence thinking that DOGE will make them rich. But I guess if it does come crashing down at some point, I guess it isn't Elon's fault; it's not like he's telling the people to buy it.

Yeah, gotta spare a thought every now and then for the many who will throw good money they can't afford to lose at these. Already saw a couple of "teen millionaire" articles floating around on mid-tier publications and I can only imagine how many more of these will convince others to part with money they ought not to.

You know what they say though, them parting with their money is inevitable. You stop them now, they do it tomorrow... not that they can be stopped. Some lessons you just gotta learn the hard way. I've certainly learnt mine, so I stick to boring old Bitcoin.
8030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +59422 units on: April 29, 2021, 08:33:35 AM
RIP parlays and specials. Actually thought there was going to be fireworks with the early goal, but as it turned out, it wasn't even BTTS on one half. Let's not discuss Bilbao either heh.

Let's take it easy on ourselves tonight and pick an underdog straight out. Smalling to get some small satisfaction on his old club maybe?

100 units at Fairlay on Roma to WIN vs United @6.17. Other odds: 5.60
Units advantage: 57

And Barca are flying but could Granada cause the night's upset?

8031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: April 28, 2021, 08:58:31 PM
Damn Citeh. Looks like they're headed to the finals on this one, but I'm really hoping Poch can turn on the spirits for the return leg, they just need to find a way to shut out the attack... score 2 goals early and then blaze it all. Neymar and Mbappe should really find a way to show up as well.

Can't say City won't deserve this if they're through though, hard to admit as it may be.
8032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 28, 2021, 06:22:49 PM
Trofo, slaman29, LTU_btc, toma

Ah yes. The trials and travails of the fan who also bets on his team. I sometimes look back on my younger days watching local football (can you imagine not even realising there was football outside, I thought World Cup was the only foreign football there was!) and wonder if I had access to betting what kind of money I'd have thrown away on my team (relegated to the lowest tier, disbanded and rebranded twice since I last watched them).

Did anyone take outright league winner bets this season?
8033  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: April 28, 2021, 04:23:57 PM
^Chelsea should have won last night's tie. If Real somehow progress to the final, I think they'll lose it though. Fighting form and experience has taken them so far but the injuries mean they're really running on fumes right now.

Still not sure who to back tonight. PSG look dangerous but the bookies are firmly behind City...

P.S. Awesome of Brett Lee and SB, India's situation definitely needs a helping hand or two. Hope it gets better there, in the midst of IPL. The sooner we all get everyone back on track health-wise, the sooner we can all enjoy a return to regular football and sport with the fans.
8034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: April 28, 2021, 02:21:33 PM
It was headed for a good points-minute average all the way until around 60th minute... where there was a 10-minute lull that killed the average. Didn't see all those yellows coming but was hoping they'd lead to a goal or two more but didn't come.

@icopress @arallmuus: Yeah the 88 thing actually works best in a trio, hence Bet888 and 888sport;) I'm very familiar with all the yin and yangs and energy and numerology people I grew up with swear by it. Gamblers love 21 too;)

Tonight's got to be about City/PSG... who, of course, we'll remember for causing us that spectacular bust last month by giving Bayern 15 corners...
8035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +59422 units on: April 28, 2021, 01:19:47 PM
Damn Chelsea, one bridge too far and who can deny Karim Benzema a goal with the kind of form he's in eh? No problem, we did well anyway. Tonight's let's do a simple boosted special. BTTS on both halves, why not? City and PSG, I really hope to see sparks fly!

100 units at Sportsbets BTTS both halves City + PSG @11.00. No odds comparison.

And I'm so stubborn, 100 units at Sportsbet on multi insured boosted: Bilbao, Banfield, Rapid Wien, Rosenberg, Brann to WIN @14.04. Also no units advantage, forgot to check. https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/3f63e6eb-fcfc-4f78-a7e5-17d33a169a38

Running advantage after 323 bets: +21,864
All-time cumulative: +59,422
Running units after 321 bets (400W|271L): +10,348 (-100)
8036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Elon Musk "Smart" Tweeting Continues! on: April 28, 2021, 11:35:57 AM
So.. we can probably pressume that he's going to meme DOGE on SNL? oh God no.

As for Elon intentionally pumping DOGE to make money off it, I'm not sure he's going to do that for monetary gains due to his huge net worth(probably only for the memes), but who knows.

The money's gotta be just a nice bonus. Doubt he'll even ever need to cash in for years to come. The fame and ego boost, ah, those are what motivate him right now. Amd he probably believes it all trickles over into Bitcoin, which is what matters to him. Not to mention all the added interest and coolness for Tesla which, money can't really buy directly.

Don't really get why people are mad though. Crypto is always ready for the next influencer. Win or lose DOGE or alts... Bitcoin ends up winning. When the seas run red and weak hands capitulate anyway.
8037  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoin support! Fall or rise? on: April 28, 2021, 10:19:03 AM
Yeah, sounds solid enough for support although I still think it's practically around 50k, temporary breaches of that notwithstanding.

Going to need to survive another weekend at these levels to firm up a direction. The way we stand, 10% moves in a day still too common to rule out consecutive shavings of the same magnitude. Even so, 40k is still an attractive support for me. Am sure for most of us too!
8038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: April 27, 2021, 06:02:06 PM
Ooo I almost missed the 42nd edition of Soccer Blackjack! No surprise it's the biggest match of the night.

Back to back wins didn't happen, but Champions League returns and it's looking to be a high-energy match as both Real and Chelsea will look to either add to their dominance in the competition, or a second crown... it'll be really close, but I'm happy to throw my hat in.

Good luck;)
8039  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-23]South Korea’s Top Financial Regulator Suggests All Crypto Exchanges on: April 27, 2021, 03:24:45 PM
Why? They are known for faking their numbers, transparency for all the cashflows would be a pain in the ass for them.
When you have $2 billion volume a day, close to half a trillion a year and you make $30 million out of it something doesn't add up.

Was definitely mistaken then. Up to the time I was following some of the regulatory developments in S Korea, I'd thought most of the big players were quite happy to oblige. Didn't realise it'd actually gone on quite some distance since. I'd just bite down and take the bullet if I were them. If Coinbase and Bitfinex can settle with US regulators, ABN AMRO settling 500M just last week, I'd just tell my Bithumb board: "look guys, let's cough up the settlement and be the only legit exchange in S Korea after this".

Unless they're hiding a laundering scandal more sinister than we'd think, of course.
