With Kawhi Leonard out for the Clippers, I'm afraid I'll also go for the Jazz to cover the spread, the spread has jumped to -7.5, I think that's a bit high, but you can't underestimate the effect of the Kawhi and even the odds it's clearly stating how less a chance the Clippers stand to win this...

I'll be sticking to the Over 220.5 points on this

That will probably be a popular bet. Playoff P (Paul George) just hasn’t been reliable enough. Sure, he might have a 40 point game and carry them to a win, he’s capable. If I’m betting though, it’s against that happening. Paul George has shown flashes of greatness, but I’d take Spidey Mitchell over him in the playoffs hands down.

No.
8043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 16, 2021, 09:20:46 AM
It was an unbelievable performance by Durant. Regarding Harden, he played 45 minutes in this match, and I think it's too much for him, considering that it was his first game after injury. It definitely wasn't a good coaching decision, but it looks like Nash hadn't a choice.

Durant definitely showed he was the best player in the world right now tonight. Even Giannis said as much after the game. I hope Harden brings more to the table soon, but you can’t forget that Durant is capable of single-handedly taking a team to the Finals. I think he might need a little more help to close out the Bucks though.
8044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 16, 2021, 01:57:02 AM
Harden is looking pretty bad out there. If he’s in that poor of shape you’d think they’d be better off letting their other guys take his spot. The way he’s slowing the pace and not putting up points it’s pretty clear he’s a liability out there. Unless he comes with some second half heroics I don’t think Durant is gonna be able to lift them to a win alone.
8045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 15, 2021, 06:28:52 AM
All elements are talking about the match between Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley, gambling addicts are no exception, MMA fans don't want to be silent about their upcoming Duel.

I don't like seeing Paul talk about Woodley like Askren, be careful when the arrogant go first, I salute Woodley who thinks Paul's abilities are extraordinary, this is a sign that Woodley is more ready to beat Paul and doesn't take it lightly in the match against Paul in this match.

This is a very tense match between Tyron Woodley vs. Jake Paul this fight is worth watching and betting on, this time I'm standing near blacks.

I'm not sure how I feel about this fight.  It seems obvious that Jake Paul targets people he thinks were retired by the sport.  His last opponent and now Woodley both suffered extremely damaging losses before agreeing to fight Jake.  I think the fighters want these fights because they know they're finished in the UFC and I think Jake is happy to knock them out as their bodies can no longer compete at a high enough level to win.  I'm sure Jake will continue to step up his opponents, but this may be another smoke screen fight.
8046  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: June 15, 2021, 06:14:07 AM
Elon Musk has left the door open for Tesla to resume accepting Bitcoin in the near future once positive energy trends have shown themselves in the data.  I suspect the Tesla Cybertruck will be purchasable with Bitcoin in early 2021 and suspect that I will be able to do just that.  It remains to be seen if I am correct or not, but at least this thread has some hope.  Smiley

Here's part of Elon's tweet where he mentions Bitcoin acceptance by Tesla.

Make sure you check to see the Kawhi highlight from tonight’s game. He threw down a monster dunk that will likely be in his all time dunk reel. Nice to see the Clippers making the series interesting with a win. Looking like the Suns may get to match up with another team from Los Angeles on their way to the Finals.

The latest auction for coins won by the Minted Seat Collective group is now live and you can bid on those coins here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5343798.0

The auction was started at 1/2 retail price and I’ve bid on them all to make sure they are sold. This auction will benefit Minted Seat owners so if you’ve wanted to expand your collection then this is a great time to do so. Good luck to everyone and as always, thanks for your continued support.

We have seen countless of dramas here especially when you go to the Reputation Board, and these kind of insults has been one of the topics, it's not appropriate  for a ban, as the only thing you can do here is to ignore the guy.

Sad but true.  At least it's easy to ignore that sort of ignorance.  I've seen a lot worse get left unmoderated though.  Considering there's no personal information, doesn't seem to be any lies (just ignorance), and it's happening on forum, the best thing to do is probably ignore the user.  When people start posting personal information, spreading lies, and harassing users both on and off the forum, that's where it becomes an issue with me, and even in that case (Vod) the user never had any action taken against them by the Administration so I am certain nothing will be done here.
8051  Economy / Reputation / Re: My 10 Year Bitcointalk Anniversary on: June 14, 2021, 07:01:27 PM
I know we've not always seen eye to eye and at times I've acted out (sometimes warranted, sometimes not) and for this I'll publicly apologize. Petty drama is so useless when you look at the bigger picture of why we are all here and how we continue to push this crazy little thing called Bitcoin forward.

I wouldn't stress it.  I've been dragged into so much drama here I can't even remember who said what.  I judge people by if they're honest, contributing to Bitcoin, and they can respect others' efforts to make a difference.  I frankly don't have the memory skills to hold a grudge.

I can't just help it but keep wondering what your biggest regret must have been over your years on the forum and also the biggest step you took that you can always look back at and be grateful you did make that decision. Are you still holding some, none or all of the Bitcoin you bought back then, just curious.

First off, I never purchased any Bitcoin until the pandemic this year, where I bought 0.2 BTC (I think) for a friend.  All of the BTC I have comes from gifts or earnings.  As far as my biggest regret...  I wouldn't really say I have any.  I'm sure everything that happened happened for a reason and that is why I'm still here.  If I cared about things like being popular or liked here the clear regret would be that I didn't create an alt account like everyone else to stand up against lies and broadcast my non-herd opinions while remaining well liked under my main account.  Withdrawing all my BTC from mtgox before the bankruptcy might be a decent cause for regret, but I probably would've spent all those coins on something stupid so even that will probably turn out to be a positive.

Personally I thought maybe only Theymos is here from the beginning(with old Id). But today I can know you are also the man who are from quite beginning.

I came long after the beginning.  I was very much a newbie years after theymos took control of the forum and with respect to forum politics, I am still a newbie.

CP3 is playing like this is his final chance for a NBA championship. As long as he remains healthy, the Suns are going to be a contender. He is the heart and soul of this team, without him, I'm sure they are going to loss. Tough luck for Jokic, ejected for the flagrant foul, refs should have allow him to play since this is crucial for the Nuggets.

Will the Suns have a chance of beating the Clippers or Jazz?
Let's see, if they got one advantage, it is that they are fully rested and have been studying Clippers or Suns offense. For sure the coaching staff are scouting it and be ready for whatever any team are going to offer.

Yes, i agree with you!
I think after Jokic's expulsion, it "buried" the Nuggets' chances to win!
I think flagrant 2 was a very high penalty and I didn't see the reason. It was a foul and we can't deny it
We realized... the Nuggets missed Murray a lot

I support Suns and hope the team wins your first title. I have no doubt, CP3 will play like it was his last game in NBA, because for the career he had, CP3 deserves to retire with at least one ring

Jokic clearly wound up and swung harder than necessary on that play. I think it was out of frustration. A really sad way to end an MVP season. It seemed really out of character as well. I hope we see a more reserved Jokic next season. I’d hate to think his MVP status has changed him into a dirty player.

I feel like everything is breaking the Phoenix Suns’ way. Suddenly the Nets don’t look like a lock to get out of their round and the Suns have dominated their way through the postseason. I’m starting to believe they have a chance to go all the way. It’s a little exciting for people who have wanted to see CP3 get a ring. How cool would it be if he faced off with Griffin in the Finals…

I missed the end - damn I wanted that 5 oz - if you are allowing late bids I would like to up mine to a winning bid for both the 5 and 2 ounce coins.

Deviating from the listed rules seems to be common these days - I recently bid on a 24 hour auction that was ended after an hour and sold to someone via dm without myself ever having a chance to up my bid or not.

Sorry. 15 seconds is one thing, especially when the forum can take a long time to load pages or make posts. There’s no legitimate reason to accept bids this late though.

I do appreciate everyone’s bids and urge people to bid what they want to pay instead of trying to last second snipe, as it seems to cause people to miss getting what they want more often than not.

15 seconds - 15 hours - same difference. there is never a legitimate reason to accept any late bid - I was simply stating that if you are accepting late bids, I would like to place one as well.

The forum never takes 15 hours to load a page or make a post. Whereas my inbox couldn’t load in 15 seconds if the fate of Bitcoin depended on it. So ya, there’s a huge difference, but I’m happy to be a stickler for the rules as it was clear the bidder didn’t understand them clearly. Was just giving people an opportunity to work it out themselves if they had a change of heart, but as stated I would side with the stated rules if there was any dispute. The last minute bidder changed his mind anyway, so there’s no issue here and no you can’t still place bids, that would be ridiculous and without any logical reasoning.

Still awaiting payment from some of the winning bidders. That’s the only remaining issue here.

This Utah vs Clippers game is about to get started. They’re showing highlight of Donovan Mitchell destroying the Clippers defense and showing how his stats match up against the Jazz greats. When it comes to the playoffs I’d have to agree, but the regular season career accomplishments of Stockton and Malone can’t be overlooked so easily. It does seem like when it comes to the postseason though, Spidey Mitchell is a top 5 player in the league.

5 oz..     @ 0.006 Btc
2 oz..     @  0.0028 Btc
1# 1 oz. @  0.0017 Btc

I’m not sure how much of a stickler we are around here for seconds nowadays. Is 5:00 and 15 seconds a valid bid? I tend to want to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when it comes to posting things that could take some time, but I don’t want to upset anyone’s feelings. Anyone involved have an opinion or want to weigh in on if they are OK being outbid in this fashion?

How about the part where you say it extends an extra 10 minutes ..?  If you don't follow your rules, it's fine, I'll retire

It does say it extends it from the bid time. The last bid time was well before 10 of the auction ending. Following my rules to a T would be invalidating your bids. However, if you want to pay more and some of the other bidders are ok with your bid being 15 seconds late, I’m fine with it. If the other bidders want their winning bid honored, I would need to do so.

No thanks, I prefer to keep my Bitcoins,Congratulations to the Winners

Thank you for being willing to accept the rules as stated. I’m sorry you weren’t able to snag one of these deals but there are still more coins from the giveaway to be auctioned in the future so don’t be too discouraged.

Winning bidders can send BTC to 1NASTYfxUpKPwin7b1KTBFjeeofrLSgXDJ and PM me with their shipping information.
