The image you link is for Avast Free <--- is this really the version you are selling?

Yes with Valid Keys ends 1/18/2036.

Do people really pay you for this?  I can't believe it.

All right everyone! Hands up and face the wall!  Drop those Bitcoins NOW!!

It clearly states that it only ships to DEA field offices... Roll Eyes

You mean you're not in a field office?!  Sorry I thought you were Wink
My bad!
8065  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Carl Mark Force IV ex-DEA Agent's Card (Rare Silk Road Memorabilia) on: December 20, 2015, 05:07:19 PM
If it's the real deal (and I believe it is), I would assume that you could get in serious trouble with the US government. I doubt they like it when you start faking their business cards and selling them online for a currency they don't like. Wink

Yeah right!  You'll be fine as long as you aren't trying to pass yourself off as Carl Mark Force V
Here I'll throw in some realistic looking badges in case you do want to attempt it - how many do you want?

8066  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Carl Mark Force IV ex-DEA Agent's Card (Rare Silk Road Memorabilia) on: December 20, 2015, 05:01:40 PM
I could go out and have thousands of these printed today.

Probably not a good idea.

Rofl my thoughts as well.

Come on! It can't be any worse than blackmailing a suspect you are investigating in your role as a DEA agent... or using the moniker "French Maid" during your corrupt dealings.

Why not?  It might be a money-making novelty item just in time for the Christmas rush.

Why do I need to legally bind myself

my best friends, a couple, and probably the only peeps id call friends, have been together since just after school. 20+ years by now, have two awesome daughters, never got married

the chick used to say: why should I marry just to get divorced?

Statistically speaking they would have had a 50-60% chance of staying together for life had they gotten married and only a 10% chance of staying together as an unmarried couple with children (and only 3% if the children reached 16 years of age!) so it was no mean feat staying together outside of marriage.
I know a couple who were cohabitating for 18 years and the woman spent over $100k in lawyers fees over custody of the children and division of assets when they split; I don't know how much her partner spent.  The process of disentanglement was no less onerous or costly than it would be for a legally married couple.
Interestingly, 93% of couples who stay together are married before having their children.
8069  Economy / Securities / Re: How much interest is reasonable for you? on: December 20, 2015, 06:40:35 AM
You people are ridiculous thinking about how much "interest" to get on your bitcoins.  They've climbed 50% in value in the last 30 days and you think somebody can afford to pay interest on top of that?!  You'll be lucky to get back your coins at all if you lend them out in this climate.

Kourtney and Scott Disick had three children yet never got married.

Yeah but those are Bieber's kids.

If by Santa you mean Russian pyramid schemer Sergey Mavrodi, then you may be correct sir!
This is going to be like Mt Gox in slow motion.

I saw Sergey Mavrodis' MMM is promoting big % of profit in a short period of time for also big amount deposits bu their community is having a hard time controlling the people to keep the flow because of them are all greedy.  Undecided I don't think Sergey is the reasonbehind this, there must be a different santa out there. Grin

I hope you're right.  I would rather not profit due to the naiveté of some relatively poor citizen of a third-world country who can ill-afford to lose what little they possess.

Why are you guys bidding on this, i didn't see anyway that this is a auction.

Maybe we should all put in and send it to Ross so he can wipe his ass with it or even use it as a type of vodoo doll.  Cheesy

Ps. Anyone tried calling the number yet?

It looks like somebody already wiped their ass with it. How'd it get so dirty man?!

8076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me pick a country to lobby on: December 20, 2015, 02:32:18 AM
I'm feeling secure in bitcoin's future here in the USA. But what about the rest of the world? Could I get anywhere with countries in Africa? Or what about places that have laws restricting bitcoin, Perhaps I could convince them to be more welcoming.
I'd like to take a diplomatic mission in 2016 with the goal of helping BTC adoption in a place that is struggling. I am not sure where I would be most effective though. Does anyone here have a suggestion of a country to visit? Perhaps you have contacts in your country that would help, or you are getting nowhere in your country and think something like this would help. What do you think?

List of suggestions:
Jamaica (tarsua) - Nice, a smaller more approachable government. Maybe a tourism tie-in? Thanks.

adoption is already galactic in size, and look at the price!

(adoption) Seems to be increasing due to MMM Global's adoption of Bitcoin as a means of cheap and easy money transmission.  I would rejoice if this were a legitimate business but it reeks of Ponzi and is being adopted by the worlds poorest at the moment.  Search out Sergey Mavrodi and you'll see.  I think this will be yet another black eye for Bitcoin.

8077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't let bitcoin overtake your soul on: December 20, 2015, 02:22:47 AM
WTF?!  This is totally not what happened.  Firstly, they were never married

You're right.  My mistake.  Apparently, I'm much better with technical details than with noticing that that in a story he "asked her to marry him", but that the wedding never actually happened.

Sorry about that.  I've gone back and fixed my post.

Yeah I didn't really care, I was just having some fun Wink
I went back and fixed my post too.
8078  Economy / Gambling / Re: I am done! on: December 20, 2015, 02:20:13 AM
In order to win, you must first learn how to lose.

That probably doesn't make any sense. Anyway, as someone else posted above, learn how to play poker if you want to gamble. Poker is skill-based. As such, the more you improve your skills, the more likely you are to win. It takes time, but the opportunity is there if you put in the work.

Good Luck in the future.

Thanks for that advice Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
There is no skill that will help you, the pay-back is always less than 1 and the more often you gamble the more you lose.

If you bet an amount B, on average you will get back somewhere between .85 and .98 of it.  Lets pick a number like 0.95 and play a few times (like 100 times) to see what happens:

 B x 0.95^100 ~= 0.006B  <--- that's less than 1% of your original money left.

This is how all gambling works.  ALL gambling.

Let's take a quote from somebody who taught Kareem such as Bruce Lee:

"To be perfectly frank, I really do not." (when asked if he gambled
...or was it if he believed in God? I can't remember but it works better than Kareem's quote in this particular instance)

 Don't gamble.

8079  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thoughts on Marriage? on: December 20, 2015, 01:31:30 AM
Before we start this discussion, I would like to point out that this is NOT a discussion about whether you think gay/straight marriages should be allowed or not.

This is a discussion about marriage itself, regardless of genders.

My opinion has always been along the lines of:

Why do I need to legally bind myself (at least that's how it functions in the USA) to someone in order to show my love?  I feel like I should be able to show love to someone just by being a part of their life.  Every relationship is an opportunity to learn something new.  It shouldn't need to involve the law.  I understand there are benefits, such as tax reductions among other things, but I am mostly talking about the show of affection.

Have you ever been married?  Ever been through a divorce?  What's it like?  How does it make you feel?  What are the advantages and disadvantages?  Is it worth it?

Discuss.

Marriage isn't to demonstrate your love and affection.  Your premise is illogical which means that your conclusion is invalid.
8080  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: December 16, 2015, 05:29:54 AM
Well, well, well... I am back for an update.

Originally (in Post #1) sold my house for approximately $400,000 Canadian, and got approximately 648 BTC in the transaction. BTC is currently at approximately $450 US each. This makes my investment worth $291,600 in U.S. Dollars. Now also note that the Canadian Dollar has tanked really hard in the last year and is now at a 12 year low, around .72c US. That makes my Bitcoin currently worth $405,000 Canadian!. I am currently up on my initial investment! I did weather the storm when it sat at $200 for a long time (and crapped my pants from time to time and did a lot of drinking), but now my time has come. For all those that laughed, we will see who is laughing in 2016!

HODL!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year,

Tay More

Congratulations.  Hope it keeps going ^
