Last time I checked there are a lot of pending transactions with 18-20 hours since it first broadcast. But a lot more transactions which clog the network are ranging between minutes to 1 hour, so probably all those high-fee transactions are coming from those who really need their funds to get confirmed asap.

Quite understandable though, due to  the recent (semi) bull run , lots of people want to trade asap.

Salah satu solusinya dari masalah 'ketergantungan' ini adalah dengan menggunakan koneksi lain seperti satelit, atau mungkin ya membuat bitcoin bersifat lokal/bercabang. Beberapa bahan bacaan di internet yang saya baca mengatakan bahwa umur Trezor dkk itu sekitar 50 tahun (tergantung cyclenya juga). Saya rasa flashdisk umurnya bisa lebih panjang atau lebih pendek, tergantung penggunaan kita juga. Ane pribadi masih menyimpan 1 flashdisk 128 MB dari tahun 2004.

Mungkin kalau ada yang mau make FD buat hardware wallet, benar-benar harus mempersiapkan segala backup dan memastikan write/read cycle terjaga dengan baik. Denger" sih cycle FD saat ini lebih panjang dari FD buatan" sebelumnya.

I think a nice addition would be to include GPU option, how many the GPU is, how much hashrate can one produce in optimal condition, and so on. So you provide them with 2 kind of calculators, one based on hashrate, and one based on device that they used.

Did the exchange run on ads? If yes, maybe that's one of their ads? Some sites use a script that will force you to visit some site regardless where you click on the page. A nasty practice but that's what they need to do to keep the site running. However, for exchange site, that's pretty unlikely imo. If it does happens, that exchange must be bankrupt sooner or later.

The article was posted in December 2018, that's ~4 months old already. It is unclear what's the standard to judge whether a hardware wallet is "best" or not too, I kinda get the feeling that he only list what's most popular and widely used around that time. Iya, tujuan utamanya memang untuk verifikasi. Jadi open source memang bukan berarti aman juga. Kalau agan ga bisa memverifikasi, pilihannya agan harus belajar agar bisa memverifikasi, atau menunggu ada anggota komunitas yang bisa mereview kodenya dengan kredibel. Terlepas itu, kalau agan merasa produk ini bisa dipercaya (dengan melihat timnya) ya itu pilihan masing-masing.


Ane agak sulit menghubungkan maksud kalimat ini dengan kalimat sebelumnya. Apa maksud pertanyannya bukannya kalaupun open source juga ada celah buat ditutupin dst? Kalau memang iya, tentu betul, segala potensi private repo dst tetap ada, tapi bukan berarti harus mengabaikan open source. Ibaratnya sudah diopen source saja ada potensi orang itu menyembunyikan kode tertentu, apalagi kalau ga open source.

I'm a freelancer, and I can tell that most employer doesn't even know about crypto. Adoption is not really that strong, and old/conventional platform is good enough for them. It's a matter of trust I think, they feel okay using them, no major problem so far.
