The sad thing is I could probably have patented this because of the broken patent system Tongue

lol, like the guy who somehow patented the idea of adding holes in clothing so people can have an MP3 players in their pocket and feed the headphones up through the small hole? XD
8082  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] Writing, Editing and Proofreading Services! on: July 12, 2013, 02:23:28 AM
Update: added more payment methods! Inputs.io, Phenixcoin and Paypal!
8083  Economy / Services / Re: FREE BTC! BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: July 12, 2013, 02:06:09 AM
You should add all the Inputs.io faucets which pays out a lot more:

http://glados.cc/faucet
http://bitcoinblogger.com/faucet

25% referral bonus.

Normally I'd take it through a trial run but because you've had such a great history and everything, I just added both sites, Smiley. Thanks for the heads-up!
8084  Economy / Services / Re: FREE BTC! BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: July 12, 2013, 01:54:15 AM
your site is very useful but so far have not received any payment.

Have you gotten higher than the threshold? Due to the change in minimum payments, it takes a little bit to get a payment. Also, around 1/2 of the sites use coinbox and the rest handle their own, so you will need to pay attention to each site to see what is required in order to get your payment as some require you to request them manually. Until then, you will keep adding them to that site's "bank" though, so you don't lose anything regardless.
8085  Economy / Services / Re: FREE BTC! BTC Faucet Timer/Rotator! on: July 11, 2013, 09:21:28 PM
this looks really ncie will be checking this out shortly

Thanks! Let me know if there are any issues or concerns.

Di said the server in Costa Rica is down and he's not sure why. He's still looking into it.

it's gonna be a mini-novel so it'll take time to write. If people like the idea, i'll continue.

Nothing against the writing, but please do not spam with extra threads like that.   If you want to post excerpts of your writing, then do it here on this thread.

problem is if i post a chapter, and then post another in a day or two, the posts get separated by comments. I thought it would be cleaner to have a separate post that i can edit, adding more work than having cut-off chapters that members will have to search for amongst all the comments.

This is why you create temp replies. Ex. "Reserved for Chapter 2" and on. So if you're going to have 10 chapters, create 9 replies (for chapters 2-10) that way you can lock them in prior to comments.

Congratulations Ranlo!

I hope lots of people post story ideas here :-)

Thanks! Beware if you read it... it's got a horrible, horrible ending, o.o...
8090  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Daily faucet which gives out .25 mBTC per use! on: July 10, 2013, 07:54:11 PM
CCFaucet - the best paying faucet there is!

Click here to join CoinChat - then join the room "CCFaucet" and type !coins to get .25 mBTC!

I have personally loaded ~20 mBTC (indirectly, though) to this faucet, so come and use it Smiley

It's a pretty good deal, if I say so myself. It's run on donations, it'll stay around for a long time.

This faucet is owned by xDeathwing, a turkish moderator.

Tried it, no luck, :p.
8091  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ufasoft Coin - Multi-currency Open Source client for Windows on: July 10, 2013, 03:14:51 PM
Hey there Ufasoft! Is there any chance you can modernize the look of the client? I figure the hard part is the actual coding, but I think it could pick up a lot more people if it had a better looking UI to it (something like Digitalcoin's or
It is Open Source. If you want other UI, just do it.

*Cries* I suck at that stuff, Sad. I may give it a go sometime when I learn a bit more about graphics and stuff, lol.

It is still by far my favorite client though -- even on slower PC's it loads up quick, gets connected to nodes fast, etc. The normal clients take up to 15 minutes to boot on my laptop and yours only takes a couple seconds, o.O.

What is this story? 10 year old?

The intro to Star Wars

Ever see the version with frogs? It's called Star Warts.

k then, I'll see myself out...

Hey there Ufasoft! Is there any chance you can modernize the look of the client? I figure the hard part is the actual coding, but I think it could pick up a lot more people if it had a better looking UI to it (something like Digitalcoin's or Feathercoin's or whatever -- basically they're all the same).

I love the functionality, I just hate the look and feel of it, Sad.
8094  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders :: Get bitcoin loans, and earn interest on your deposits! on: July 10, 2013, 01:49:48 PM
The site isn't working for me right now.

I didn't have to much time to mess around but I was trying to transfer from inputs.io to CoinLenders, but it just sat there and said "Sending..." So I just backed completely out of the site and got on again and the site wouldn't even load.

Just letting everyone know in case their wondering if its just them. I'll try to transfer again later and hope its working by then!

No issues at all from my end... I can load everything fine.

8096  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / CGMiner Problems With 5x 7950's on: July 10, 2013, 03:36:31 AM
Hey all. I've had a rig going for over 16 hours straight with no problems. All of a sudden, the computer crashed and had to be restarted. Now when CGMiner is loaded, one of the cards refuses to go any higher than 500 MHz core, 150 MHz mem and 0.97 VDDC.

I've set up the same settings for all five cards in CGMiner. All four of the others take but this one for some reason will not. Restarted the PC multiple times and tried other things as well. Upon changing its clock speeds, they instantly pop back to the 500/150 again.

The card in question is actually the second (#1, if you go based on 0,1,2,3,4).

Does anyone else have experience with this happening? Everything was going great for 16+ hours before this happened. No settings have been changed either.
8097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: July 10, 2013, 12:59:56 AM
I wanted to see block sizes, which the the block explorers I knew about did not show.

So I put up http://devcoin.21stcenturymoneytalk.org/

Just looked and you're right; all three existing ones just show the size on a per-transaction basis. Thanks!

http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=freedom_kills

The second prize of one million devcoins remains.

Thanks!

I'm up for other requests/bounties as well! Hopefully it's not an issue to post this here but I'm also looking for other writing jobs (I accept BTC, DVC, DGC, MNC, FTC, WDC, LTC, PXC and NVC). If anyone's interested, toss me a PM and we'll go from there!

Knocked out a few more jobs here. Looking for more work! Hit me up.

I can do short-term or long-term projects, and it doesn't matter if it's a short article, a long one, etc. If you need proofreading, I can do as many pages as needed, as well as deal with things like proofreading books and fixing grammar mistakes or calling attention to things that need cleared up (or I can clear them up for you).

Let me know if you have anything you need.

Thanks!
