8161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: November 17, 2017, 05:16:28 AM
What would you guys advise someone who is retired, living off pension and savings? Is it too late/risky to invest at that kind of age?
Do you guys think the elderly have a chance of jumping on the crypto train, or do you guys think it's too late for them to invest?

Last time I checked, Bitcoin did not come with a age criteria, anyone and everyone can invest at any period of time. Now answering your questions, at your age assuming you're quite old, do you have benefactor who's going to gain from your investment or its only you who's looking for extra income. If it's a benefactor you could invest a good amount and let him have it later. If it's you, then I would advise you to invest 10-30% of your surplus money and earn from it.

8163  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are here. on: November 16, 2017, 10:50:46 AM

Hahaha this is so funny, it's a reality that exists, but I feel that to compare each stage with the past is not right, at this stage I feel it's possible that bitcoin shall not see a drop anytime soon and that it shall continue rising. Bitcoin futures is coming and if square excepts it then it's amazing to. I feel at this stage Bitcoin will keep on rising till new heights, and I don't see it coming down, and with segwit2x coming back its reaching new heights.

those of you getting authorization email, are you getting it after you trying to login?
get locked and get notification in red:   Please check your email inbox for a link to authorize your login request
if this is what you guys getting then it's normal.
it's a security feature that gets triggered when you logging in from completely different IP.
it's tolerant on dynamic IPs with different endings, but get triggered otherwise

I have not got any such mails ever, from them, I think this could be a phishing mail, I would avoid even opening such mails, they are never good, rather go to the site and let a mail come when they don't accept log in, I encountered this problem today, I was asked to do two captcha at a time to claim, imagine, it's already bad and I need to do two captcha then it validates, any one else faced this kind of issue?
8165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: losing 50 bitcoins gambling on: November 16, 2017, 09:06:24 AM
How would you feel if you lost 50 btc after gambling... https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/92ff9f2dmRCeSttM0U0a1dPZ0tTSDd4OW4vZz09/r/2744 What's the biggest loss you've taken before, and do you have any good coping strategies? I do wonder if it's better or not to express anger or to just try and ignore it as best as possible. Personally I just get angry and yell some swears, but curious how other people react when losing and any tips on coping.

Oh my, that would be a terrible loss, yes I do like gambling but I always play with a stop loss never more never less. I think when one looses so much they should stop and think is their betting really justified, or that they should stop, I would feel terrible and probably suicidal, how can one even survive with the fact that ye just lost such a huge amount and then next moment I would be like no worried I shall play another bet and try and win the entire amount again, it's quite possible for me to do that.
8166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.5 months left !! what's more to happen ? on: November 16, 2017, 08:37:15 AM
2017 clearly was a turning period for Bitcoin with all the events from the massive growth to the latest attack on Bitcoin.
The massive growth from $1000 to $7000 this years was a great achievement fro BTC. Then came the ban of ICOs in china followed by shutting down of Bitcoin exchanges. Next were the forks started by Bitcoin cash, BTG, Segwit2x(although was suspended). Then the news that CME group would be listing BTC futures. Now the attack on BTC with a huge load of transactions because the miners switched to BCH.
All of this was were some huge movements in the crypto world. There is exactly 1.5 month left for the year to end. Can we expect more such events or the is it over and we can finally see some peace around here. BTC hitting $10k would be the next big news for me.

This indeed was a interesting year for the Bitcoin overall, never seen such a rally and suddenly it just made it to the sky, China did try to play spoilsport, but Japan like the samurai saved it, I think the future is already discounted in the price, the next hike is when segwit2x is implemented which I feel we shall see it happening very soon, I shall support it if it has replay protection, I feel segwit2x will set the price to 10 - 12k easily.

8169  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 ICO ANNOUNCE 15 AUG 2017! JOIN THE TRANSFORMATION! 🎰🎰🎰 on: November 15, 2017, 05:29:59 PM
Just want to add in my weight here, to everyone asking about withdrawal fees, or rather, complaining about 50k sat fee. You should be thankful that this fee isn't adjusted taking into the Bitcoin congestion since last week. If you think it's too much, these are your alternatives:

1. Move to other sites with different fees. Some let you adjust, but let me tell you 50k will get your withdrawal confirmed in > 5 days at current network. Some don't charge fees, but have a wagering requirement on your deposit (3x even is normal, so you willing to wager 3x before you can withdraw?)
2. Try and keep your withdrawals together. Instead of cashing out every min amount, why not cash out larger amounts? It also saves your wallet from having so many inputs (and making your next spend very expensive).

This is a common problem I have seen at Bitdice users they want everything the best, want everything on time and then they complain about small things, Is 50k really that big every one who earn decent on site can afford it, I don't think we should even bother about it, such people are not even worth answering don't like it, don't play here simple.

Inter is not satisfied with Joao Mario's performance and could sell it for about 30M. The Psg is interested in buying it.
In that case Inter would like to buy Vidal who wants to leave Bayern.

Mourinho denied wanting to go to Psg and is already thinking about the next (big) purchases to strengthen his team.
Fellaini at the end of the season will leave Manchester United. Almost certainly going to Besiktas.

clearly Mourinho not looking for running from United as he knows that they could provide him with all of his needs as they are the most secure team in terms of income while PSG have problems in that matter and they could face charges any time also Mourinho likes the competition and the Media that the Premier league have and in France there's not much there to brag about because winning the league is nothing compared winning it in EPL also he was offered the job before he took Manchester so we wouldn't see him in the Parisien club any time soon also I think that United may try to Cash in Fellaini in Winter if they managed to grab another midfielder.
Moving from Manchester United will be very bad for the image of Jose Mourinho because people are going to say that he couldn't handle the challenge against the other managers and that's the reason why he left. He should be given the kitty bag to make his purchases and everything is going to be very okay.

How much cash is enough for Mourinho? He has been given so much cash already, the fact is he just can't face pep and he doesn't understand his team, player like pereira over lingard, martial or rashford in the bench, Mkhitaryan Dipping form yet starts, Mata plays wider than he is expected to play, Luke and Lindelof not bedded well into the team. I feel it's good for Manchester United if he leaves he's messing it up a lot actually. I think both Mata and Herrera shall depart if he. Stays, wonder if he'll buy varane and sell degea that would be a horrible mistake.

8174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Roger Ver's trick to drop BTC to $1300: a call to whales to SELL NOW PLEASE! on: November 14, 2017, 08:50:32 AM
I've noticed something alarming about this BCH influenced BTC crash/correction

Has anyone noticed that the very rapid drop and resultant rebound didn't get the chance to actually test support at $5k? I can't help but think that this might be a deliberate attempt of Roger Ver and co, to ensure that Bitcoin then carries on up to new all time highs, having not tested support since $1300. They'll back off now, and let the BTC community think that BCH has failed, ensuring that $5k doesn't get properly tested.

This might result in an inevitable retrace/crash back to $1300, which would be when he could pump BCH again to cause a real 'flipenning'.

So basically, PLEASE SELL!!

Nope a big thumps down to your suggestion to sell, I would rather suggest to sell bcc and buy btc with it, I will tell you why, once csme implements future it's going to Mars, add on to it, sooner or later segwit2x will be implemented and then bcc will disappear from the market only matter of time before bcc is done away, so my suggestion sell bcc heavily and invest in Bitcoin, the future is being implemented by December, so this might be your last chance to get a huge price for your bitcoin in the near future.
8175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 14, 2017, 08:36:50 AM
Pogba has become one of the leaders of this Manchester. Would like to see less injuries in football and Pogba in particular. Waiting for his return.

That is true , he has grown to become a completely important player in the Manchester midfield and they really miss him now that he's not playing and they are getting bad results. Jose Morinho better have a better replacement in the upcoming games because the results have started changing.

Pogba is the most important player at Manchester United this season. A Nemanja Matic can not do much without Pogba in midfield. Pogba's injury greatly affects Manchester United's game. a few months ago Manchester United had the same points as Manchester City, now Manchester United lags very far, it has been since Pogba was injured.

Pogba loss has been a big setback for Manchester United but I feel it's been blown out of proportion, I feel it's mourinho fault that he's made the team rely so much on Pogba that without him suddenly every one can't perform, it was due to this attitude that pereira left, I feel this even has destroyed the form of Herrera, he's just not the player he once was. I hope Pogba does come back ASAP helps us recover 8 points difference.

https://news.bitcoin.com/japan-teaches-western-governments-lesson-cryptocurrency-regulation/

Quote
Bitcoin has been an officially legal payment method in Japan since April, when 4,500 stores began accepting the cryptocurrency, and leading financial newspaper, the Nikkei, tips that figure to increase five-Japan Teaches Western Governments a Lesson in Cryptocurrency Regulationfold by the end of the year. Japanese shoppers can spend bitcoin in a range of stores including electronics giant Bic Cam and bitcoin signs are displayed prominently, helping to raise awareness. BTMs – ATMs that exchange fiat for bitcoin – are scattered throughout the country, and there’s even the ability to pay utility bills complete with a special bitcoin discount via Remixpoint.

Following the Mt Gox collapse, in which the country’s (and indeed the world’s) largest bitcoin exchange liquidated, losing 850,000 bitcoins, Japanese regulators stepped in. Rather than try to stem the use of cryptocurrency, they enacted regulations which mandated exchanges to maintain capital reserves, keep customer funds separate, and implement KYC procedures. Meanwhile, many western governments have dithered over cryptocurrency regulation.

This week, Donald Trump’s treasury secretary issued his first public comments about bitcoin – and they weren’t exactly glowing. His primary concern was with ensuring that bitcoin couldn’t be used “for illicit activities”. He also invoked the usual canards that government officials are prone to uttering in the same breath, citing money laundering, terrorists, and the dark web. The only box the treasury secretary forgot to tick off was the one marked “child pornography”.

These accusations aren’t just limited to bitcoin of course. Cryptography as a whole is the bugbear of many western governments, with British and US leaders in particular expressing frustration that backdoors can’t be built into encrypted messaging platforms such as Whatsapp. Bitcoin is mercifully free from centralized attempts at meddling with code, but that hasn’t prevented governments from restricting entry and exit points from the fiat world. Officials haven’t lain the banhammer on bitcoin, but they’ve done little to support it.

Japan is a tech-savvy nation whose elected officials have a better appreciation of the Japan Teaches Western Governments a Lesson in Cryptocurrency Regulationtransformative power of emerging technologies than most. It follows that the more digitally-inclined countries should be among the first to embrace cryptocurrency. In Europe, Estonia, with its e-Residency digital passports, is another country that’s been positive towards cryptocurrency.

“Bitcoin regulation” can mean very different things in different countries. In Japan it means taking measures to safeguard citizens whilst encouraging the responsible use of bitcoin and enabling crypto companies to get on with business. In other developed nations, however, “bitcoin regulation” is a euphemism for “anti-money laundering”.

Japan has always been a leader of change and they have always innovated and then the world follows, even when the world was debating on whether to implement it or ban it, Japan went ahead and got Bitcoin in the country and it's successfully implemented it, China who used to boss Bitcoin around, and Japan came in and stopped it influence, I am very much sure usa shall follow Japan model very soon.
8177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casino's are the FUTURE! on: November 13, 2017, 11:18:28 AM
Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say that bitcoin casinos are so much better then normal one's, most of the bitcoin casinos have instant cashouts when you look at normal casinos it takes atleast 5 days to get the money to your bank account.

BITCOIN CASINOS ARE THE FUTURE!  Grin Grin Grin Grin

I don't really get what you mean by this, one theory is you mean compared to other casinos, casino that give payment in Bitcoins are better, but so was rollio and then it went down as what people say, haven't visited them so no clue about them, for me the future casino is Bitdice, not only is it clean and sharp it's simply the best, the best team and Alex its owner making futurist improvements, don't take my word for it, visit them, look at the amount of money they raised in ico, you won't find a better casino then them

Any tricks available in gambling to won the bet?

Any one who tells you there is any trick to win in gambling is definitely misleading you, there is absolutely no trick to win in gambling except to perfect the art of winning, choose a category and master it, say for me cricket is a one such category, now before playing a game, I will study both teams, pitch, weather, X player and then play my Betz that's the only trick there is.

Hi

Is Segwit2X fork cancelled or it will happen

I can't find the real answer. So help me and move this topic on correct place.

I can't believe what the Op has asked and what people are telling him, one said about bcc when he has not asked for bcc, try and be helpful guys, currently there is no segwit2x in place, it was originally decided for 16th November but due to a lack of support it has been cancelled, however I feel it will resurface in a while, when one cannot say, we will have to wait and see.
