8181  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is cheese added to absolutely EVERYTHING in America? on: May 31, 2014, 10:42:42 PM
Cheese tastes awesome with everything.

It may be unhealthy , anything but natural , but who cares when you are in 'murica ?

Quote
Actually... somehow some american restaurant here start their new menu... Fries with cheese...  Grin

They have something they call "pizza fries" which is cheese (pure fat) , pepperoni (which is anything but pepperoni and actually pure fat) on fries (which have more oil than potato)

You made me want to google these fries pure cheese pepperoni and oily fries together it looks delicious and at the same time
OH my gutline

I take back my previous statement the answer is most things go well with cheese

8184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cars Can be Hacked Now on: May 31, 2014, 09:55:50 PM
So the new way to hotwire a car is to use a computer
Epic win
Although it makes sense most cars are computerized and vulnerable to Electro Magnetic Pulses among other things
That said it scares me that a crash can be remotely triggered to kill someone by manipulating the brake control
Or the CIA giving someone a car then remote controlling it and sending it home with the alleged terrorist in the drivers seat  Wink
Although it would give a whole new meaning to the Bait Car XD
8185  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid for your signature from FXOpen. Weekly payouts. on: May 31, 2014, 08:56:20 AM

Though we are ready to accept 5 more Sr. Members.
Also we accept Hero Members.[/size]

As for Members and Full Members, we'll let you know about free places when available.

Is it alright if I reserve a spot from those 5 Sr. Members accounts effective tomorrow
Finishing off the Ritz campaign which is closing
8186  Economy / Speculation / Re: post your average price of buying back in - 2014 ONLY on: May 31, 2014, 08:40:22 AM

My average price was around 520.30 I bought some in April but like Dolanduck that price wasn't a good deal because since then it only went lower down to the 400 450 dollar range until this recent rally although now it is in the green so that is nice.
8187  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ignore List sharing - Let's help each other out on: May 31, 2014, 08:34:39 AM
My lord that is one heck of an ignore list bitcoinbitcoin
I was thinking its really large for a newbie as well but I guess your technically around here since last December just not a big poster.

Anyways no one on my ignore list personally but I guess the people in the activemining thread and labcoin threads when they were still active lol.
8188  Other / Off-topic / Re: which dish you like to cook for yourself ? on: May 31, 2014, 08:29:05 AM
Simple things like Eggs, Ramen, Rice, sometimes cook some vegetables the frozen kind and give it a warm up or some hamburgers and hot dogs, that said I am thinking of expanding that while trying to find something that doesn't need to much preparation time.
Maybe get some ground beef and make tacos or buy some nachos and add cheese.
Open to some creative ideas though key is keeping it simple
8189  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying a house with bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 08:17:27 AM
I tried selling my last house with BTC in US before listing. Ended up getting a USD offer at ask, but never had a BTC bite. Fwiw. I think we're starting to make headway into car purchases... houses are probably a good way off. Not as far away as Branson's space travel, though, so if you try, I'd guess you at least have a better chance than him. Cheesy

"Buying a house with bitcoiN"

Haha, yeah, that's right letter - not bitcoins, but bitcoin. If you know what I mean
"bitcoin" can be used to mean either singular and plural, like sheep.

Well a few houses in Canada were sold for Bitcoin and I have seen a few threads here and there about it but it certainly is uncommon to see it now with sites like Bitpremier probably being the best places to look for houses.
However you might have a point about car purchases being done in Bitcoin it is getting to the stage where it is becoming popular enough that some people may be willing to trade their car for some.
8190  Other / Meta / Re: Request: Separate "Computer Hardware" subforum on: May 31, 2014, 08:12:30 AM
This seems like a good suggestion
Simply put the forum is getting more active so it makes sense that some sections need subcategories and this would be beneficial to most members.
8191  Other / Off-topic / Re: This is why so many nerds are overweight! on: May 31, 2014, 08:09:32 AM
The more ambient light in your room, the more overweight you will be.

I have a dozen or so led lights in my room.

http://www.bbc.com/news/health-27617615

I kind of thought that would be a coincidence more than a serious factor doesn't seem to make much sense to me that a lightbulb packs up the pounds
Maybe having a later sleep schedule but just ambient light
That said I guess eating food and using lights has a relationship but I wonder why the Institute of Cancer Research is looking into this.
Perhaps its all the mercury bulbs but I do agree that night lights can mess with a sleep cycle
8192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time is Running Out for Mark Williams Prediction of a $10 Bitcoin on: May 31, 2014, 08:00:34 AM
His prediction should have been that Darkcoin will reach 10 dollars a coin instead of Bitcoin
Just messing with him he made a calculation based on idiocy and needs to own up to it

It will be interesting to see if he posts a follow-up statement, and what exactly it will say. Will he merely re-iterate his thoughts but extend the deadline?

I think his argument is that he believes that Bitcoin as an investment is generally too risky.

That probably is right but to me it sounded more like someone who was firing off his mouth without doing any research
I want to know if he will be humble and acknowledge his mistakes while admitting he does not understand it well enough
Or mention the reasons he believes it is risky and drop any price estimates.
8193  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is cheese added to absolutely EVERYTHING in America? on: May 31, 2014, 07:58:41 AM
I've had cheese on soup, salad, steak - literally everything ive ever ordered at an American restaurant ive been asked - would you like cheese with that.
Is it a cultural thing? Why is cheese so important?

There is one thing that seems to not have cheese added to it in the USA
That is fries
Although we call it poutine here  Grin
Actually not including the nacho cheese some fries come with that although its more often gravy

As for why it probably is cultural and people like Cheese.
8194  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ROCKMINER ASIC miner official thread on: May 31, 2014, 07:55:57 AM
Long live Dogie and his updates those mining guides are really helpful even see the BE200 chips in high quality

8195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin integration on facebook. on: May 31, 2014, 07:51:19 AM
There is a bitcoin integrated wallet on Facebook  Shocked
This most certainty is worth Bitcoin discussion
My opinion is this is great I just hope they don't become a neobee

8197  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Snowden should 'man-up' and face trial: says SOS John Kerry on: May 31, 2014, 07:34:33 AM
Kerry should 'man-up' and confess to treason with the rest of the sitting and past government officials.

In a sense it did make me wonder if enough people tried to kick them out of power if it would work in practice or if voter apathy helps to keep them not charged with any crimes.
8198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin jobs on: May 31, 2014, 07:20:36 AM
I think this is a market where you can make your own company and create these jobs presently.
Although perhaps we should say Bitcoin Careers beats a BJ Smiley

Now onto a sort of tangent since its relating to the above posts
Thinking about it whatever the name of the organization it probably has a fun pseudonym just because bitcoin starts with a B
Bitcoin Society = BS
Bitcoin Foundation (Ltd)= BF (L)
Bitcoin Jobs = BJ's

___
I guess the good ones would end with an A
BA
Bullet/Gun Society for Bitcoin
BB
Bitcoin Church of Satoshi
BC

Etc.

Sheldon and his unusual peculiar behavior has always been something I enjoyed
So my vote goes to Sheldon and looks like most people in this thread so far agree.

TO bitcoin information is time you let others know that uptown are not responsible are or organized with there sig campaign they dont come online everyday plus I didn't get paid for two weeks and I am on the list of uptown sigs
I know that there have been some problems, but not enough, yet, to change their position. I will keep an eye on it, of course.

Getting curious myself with the Ritz campaign retiring so maybe an asterisk in regards to possible issues with this present campaign might be helpful
Seems enough members in the particpating signature campaign are complaining about issues with them
