Looks pretty good to me I like the one from Fitch a few days ago

8584  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price vs. hash rate? on: April 06, 2014, 04:54:26 AM
With this difficulty level bitcoin price should be at $900 range. Most miners are not making money in mining.

agreed, currently it's probably a better bet to buy coin than mining gear.

there was NO SINGLE point in time, where buying hardware was better than buying coins. Bet this will not change ever Wink

Damn! I never knew that, but yes it makes sense.

If only a quick time-trip to 2010 was possible. Buy 1000 BTC and cold wallet them on an engraved stainless steel sheet, bury it and time travel back.

Well I suppose we can pretend we are time travelling back from 2018.

Thinking about it there really was no time when hashing was worth more than price since well it started trading in 2010 and before that whoever was mining was just paying electricity lol

That said solving Japans energy problem really is nuclear or a lot more money unless they find offshore oil why they are fighting for the Senkaku/Daiymo islands tiny Atolls etc to extend their geological shelf

Well.. Senkaku is under de facto Japanese occupation. They don't have to worry much, as long as the NATO is supporting them.

True enough although it just extends into the larger argument about China fighting for a lot of islands and stuff think they fight with Taiwan Russia and South Korea as well
8587  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: April 04, 2014, 08:15:20 PM
Can we stop confusing "investors" with "new investors"?  New investors have not made 6x IPO.  Newcomers have every right to feel the way they do.  They want more information about what's going on.

Investors were @IPO, and purchased shares from ASICMINER.  Those that purchased shares of ASICMINER from Investors are Speculators  Grin

That is pretty much true anyone who buys shares post IPO is a speculator since they did not provide the initial capital to the company what they value it as is not AM's problem so much as building the best product possible aka long term needs vs short term shareholder concerns
Benefit of having a majority of shares owned  Wink

I'm sorry my opinion (shared by 95% of the people here) offends your 'brain'.
Nothing offends. You can write whatever you want. I just do not understand why you so care about my opinion?? Are you not be able to sleep knowing that I wrote  negative feedbacks?
Take it easy Cheesy

Here's my opinion "GO FUCK YOURSELF"

See it does not really matter ...does it ??
Of course, this post just shows a level of your culture.
Actually, everyone who do not like Josh should be happy about this contest. Because as a result of this contest Josh will lose his money.(the cost of one monarch)
economic punishment  Cheesy

For some reason I was thinking it may be one monarch but that sure ain't much compared to everything else hes collected from preorders lol
8589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptostock alternatives on: April 04, 2014, 05:30:23 AM
Well bad investments like Labcoin were voted in that and Activeminer
That said there were legitimate stocks but bitcoin is a volatile instrument

Labcoin guys conned millions of $$$ from unsuspecting users. I myslef lost around BTC0.10. What a tragedy.

Yah the best time to get out of that stock was in the messed up IPO with the share restrictions and super pumping
8590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name something you've actually BOUGHT with bitcoin on: April 04, 2014, 05:27:33 AM
Weed lollipops.  cause they were a mistake.  now i'm too lazy to code (kidding servers down, gotta wait for namechain update  Shocked)

8591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will 1 Bitcoin will Reach 1 million usd one day? on: April 04, 2014, 05:25:53 AM
If it reaches $1k we will be satisfied enough.

Whats there for gaining satisfaction if it hits 1K? It has already hit 1.2K. Let's aim for 10K.

BTW... exchange rates won't matter much now. If some of the UN member nations recognize BTC as an alternative to fiat, I'll be extremely satisfied.

So would I since this can now be said to be around 60% below the peak price and the support base for the next price rise
Just need some strong positive news
8592  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia Invades Ukraine. Whats next? on: April 04, 2014, 05:24:01 AM
Well after that reactors collapse can't blame them for wanting to diversify their industries of course it costs them a lot more to do so happy they are putting them online again

Japan doesn't have too many options. They don't have any gas and they don't have any oil. And their densely populated islands don't have any coal as well. So they have to import all their fuel from the outside. Crude is getting more and more expensive. LNG was never cheap. So the only option left is nuclear energy.  Huh

No that's about right they don't really have much choice Japan is a very resource poor nation the reason they entered into Nuclear in the first place is because it was part of their movements to alternative energy sources after the OPEC Crisis in the 1970s it also helped build a significant part of their industries after they switched from a coal based economy to a oil based one

Energy wise the best resources they have are efficiencies the third fuel although they are highly dependnant on imports of raw inputs
Such as rare earths for their magnets from China etc.
That said solving Japans energy problem really is nuclear or a lot more money unless they find offshore oil why they are fighting for the Senkaku/Daiymo islands tiny Atolls etc to extend their geological shelf

If anything Japan might be able to get power from new tech or innovating industries since their tech base is strong but otherwise finding energy efficiencies and securing their supplys remains a constant challenge.

Oh also all gold holders are technically bag holders.....

True although the gold buffs can argue that they can hold their bags of Gold
Assuming the bag is made of gold foil  Cool
8594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 5 years from now on: April 04, 2014, 05:12:09 AM
I doubt it will just crash outright. Prob will either slowly go down or rise again

Looking at the order books at BTC-E, It will take a dump of hundreds of thousands of BTCs to crash the currency. Not likely.

The only people who can do that right now are Satoshi and Keeples
Possibly Pirate and Tradefortess but the first two are unlikely to do that
Satoshi since why would he now
Keeples can't being watched to much
The other two below possibly if Pirate didn't liquidate or TF
8595  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia Invades Ukraine. Whats next? on: April 04, 2014, 05:10:11 AM
Here is good news for Russia:

http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-04-03/japan-readies-to-turn-back-on-some-of-its-nukes

Nuclear fuel is Russia's 3rd most important source of Forex, after crude and gas. Last year, they exported almost 40b USD worth of nuclear fuel. If this news is true, that amount will increase.  Grin

Well after that reactors collapse can't blame them for wanting to diversify their industries of course it costs them a lot more to do so happy they are putting them online again

That’s progress, albeit tiny: Three years after the earthquake, 98,000 people remain living in temporary shelters.

I think they call that a house by now lol.
8596  Economy / Securities / Re: This is the story of your loss. on: April 03, 2014, 02:33:21 AM
Like, for example, the average market value of S.DICE (0.0037) vs. the buyback price (0.0035).

You're forgetting ~0.007 in dividends. Name's Dice. Satoshi Dice.

I'll credit Havelocks passthru to not losing any money on that as well guess btct and bitfunder both had one as well
8597  Other / Off-topic / Re: The hoverboard has become a reality! on: April 02, 2014, 11:27:37 PM
Pre-Orders will be taken in bitcoin only. With money back guarantee*.

I feel like this is a BFLTM Moment who knows maybe they will refund with fiat instead when the price goes up a few scales haha
8598  Other / Meta / Re: Top Posters [UPDATED CHARTS] on: April 02, 2014, 11:24:55 PM
Hehe, yep some of these posters have a lot of time on their hands, it would seem... Grin

One can dream about getting to those levels of course they started in 2011 so its not really a fair comparison to 2014 and 2013 XD
8599  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My House! on: April 02, 2014, 11:24:12 PM
I don't want to be a jerk here but I'd just like to point out for 1-2 pounds of drugs sold in 2011 one could own OP's House.

That's funny because its true unless they stayed around and got their coins seized by the FBI lol
8600  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vladimir Putin nominated for Nobel Peace Prize on: April 02, 2014, 11:23:16 PM
